Pros: Style and Electric Sliding doors. Cons: Interior Space And A/C controls. The Bottom Line: I will recommend this minivan for anyone. And when you do, Please consider getting it at a color that is not a dark blue. It gets really hot.
The Honda name represent long life of pure quality, and Honda Oddesey got a lot of that juice. The performance from the V6 Engine it great, gas milage is fair, and the power sliding doors and my favorite. I test drive one 1 month ago. Its my friends...

Pros: Great ride. Very smooth and comfortable. Good mileage especially for minivan. Love the car. Cons: none The Bottom Line: I would reccomend this to anyone who wants a minivan for a family car or renting it for a comfy trip for the family around the country. Safe. Reliable. Honda
I really enjoyed the Honda Odyssey year 2000 version I own. I really enjoyed the ride. I know it's foriegn and a lot of people for some reason have a knock on cars not made in the good old US of A, but it's really a great ride. It's smooth in the city,...

Pros: very comfortable seats, along with sleek exterior Cons: of the three mini vans I test drove, it was by far the slowest The Bottom Line: This is a bargain considering all of the features it has. My kids really like the warner bros edition, proving that this car is essential for any family.
My son really loves this car. The Odyssey really puts a smile on his face and all is good. I really dig the Magic seat. I'm wondering why the other auto manufacturers couldn't come up with the idea. Taking out the seats are a pain in the you-know-what. I...

The latter model was nice...

Pros: Good ride, plenty of power Cons: Gearshift lever in gear obstructs radio control
Bought this van for my wife. We now have three grandchildren and needed more room than our Saturn. When shopping for a van the Odyssey had everything we needed. The wait for it to come in was worth it. We opted for the EX model and really enjoy the power...

As a four time owner of minivans, 2 plymouths 1 Chevy Venture, the 2000 Odssey is the best of the lot. More features, ease in handling, ride is just great.

Pros: Styling, convenience, everything visual Cons: Didn't see any
I can't say anything about the way this van drives, but my wife and I sat in one at a car show last year. Her comment was, "finally a minivan designed by a woman!" This van is incredible. From the rear seat that folds into the floor, to the...

Pros: price, comfort, capacity, fun to drive Cons: slow sliding side doors (EX model)
I am new to the minivan world, having just ended my relationship with a 1997 Expedition XLT. I wanted something as capacious as the big Ford, without the SUV's abysmal gas mileage and general sense of excess.
The 2000 Odyssey was the only...

Honda has designed the ultimate in minivans with the 2000 Odyssey. With a zippy 6 cylinder engine, superb handling, smooth ride and even impressive breaking this is actually a minivan that is fun to drive!

Pros: Second row seats very comfortable; power sliding doors very nice Cons: Gas mileage, A/T shifter is in the way of the radio The Bottom Line: Buy it. It is expensive but, we believe, will outlast any other brand/model on the road!
Overall we love our Odyssey! It drives like a dream. We had a hard time finding one though. Had to put our name on several waiting lists at various dealers. Took almost 2 mos but we got the color that we wanted. Recommend putting thick plastic over top...

Pros: Utility, Reliability, Highway Fuel economy, Interior design, Cons: city fuel economy, smaller fuel tank size
I am actually the second owner of a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX. The first owner being my in-laws until 2003. We purchased it from them due to the birth of my twins. A little history is in order. I have had 2 Nissan Pathfinders (a 1993 and a 1995, both great vehicles but small and poor fuel economy) and 1 Subaru Legacy Wagon (very reliable, but small). The Honda Odyssey has been the perfect complement to a family. First, it drives and tracks just like a smaller Honda sedan, highway mileage is between 25-27 mpg//city 19mpg. The Odyssey can easily be converted to accept different interior configurations ( the fold flat 3rd row seat is invaluable). After 115k mileage, the Odyssey has been a reliable and faithful vehicle. The interior is rattle free and well designed. the paint excellent, the engine bulletproof and the transmission (4sp)reliable. This does not have the automatic doors (which were problematic in 2001-2002, or the (5sp) automatic transmission that was prone to failure during the same timeframe).

Be careful!!! With the Honda Odyssey

Pros: It has a lot of cup holders. Cons: Honda's warrantee allows them to fix your car with "used" parts.
I have a 2000 Honda Odyssey and shortly after I bought it new I had transmission problems. I discovered they had bad transmissions in 2000 odyssey's in certain 2000 models in a certain Vin number range. (Mine was one of these). They put in a "remanufacured" (used) transmission". I was upset that it wasn't new since my car was new but they wouldn't make it right. I did complained and they extended my transmission warrantee. I now have 98,000 miles on the van and it has had 4 transmissions in it.
The bottom line is that Honda in their warrantee agreement has the right to put "used" or "remanufacturered" parts in your new car and does. When you buy a Honda, just know if something is wrong with the car they will use "used" parts to fix it. The other thing you need to know is that even though this Corporation knowingly put out a whole series of cars with a defective transmission they did not issue a recall. I feel sorry for those people who did not discover this problem before their warrantee expired.
