Pros: so many features, the Honda name Cons: price
I have a confession...I did not pick this van out. One day, my husband took my old Ford Windstar to "get detailed" - or so he told me - and he came home driving our new 2000 Honda Odyssey. Quelle surprise! He had done any research on it...

Pros: Handling, comfort, saftey and a boss navigation system Cons: I can't find the words to express my full appreciation for this vehicle
Vans suit my needs, and until now I have driven Dodge Caravan's. After reading many excellent reviews of the new Honda Odyssey 2000, test driving one, deciding on the EX version with navigation (my wife says that since I like technology toys, the...

Pros: Super-powerful engine, huge interior, more cupholders than you will ever need, great reliability Cons: Power doors are a pain in the neck The Bottom Line: This car is the best buy in it's class and is worth any wait.
We have two teenagers and our 11 year old station wagon wasn't cutting it on trips anymore. So last November, we went minivan shopping. Our two choices were the Toyota Sienna and the well-liked Honda Odyssey. The Toyota was nice, but it rode like a...

My friend recently purchased a brand new 200l Honda Odyssey EX Wow, has she been singing its praises! I was so pleased when I had the opportunity to take an extensive test drive. And, boy, was it nice! Although I drove the Odyssey, I decided my friend...

Pros: Big, powerful, reliable, easy to drive. Cons: A bit of wind noise, and crummy cupholders.
I'm too young/hip/male to drive a minivan! But circumstances overtake us, and we find ourselves seeking a safe vehicle big enough to carry everyone important to us and everything that's important to them. And because we wanted great reliability, we...

Pros: Spacious mini-van with lots of power, lots of storage space with rear-seat buried in floor. Cons: In high demand so supplies are short... Very little haggling due to high demand. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a sturdy, apparently dependable, large mini-van... this should be the one. Versatile, powerful (2002 has 240 hp!), easy to drive.
When we initially began searching for a mini van we decided the Honda Odyssey was out of our price range. We avoided it like the plague. We knew it was a quality vehicle, but just could not afford it. We test drove the Chevrolet Venture, Pontiac Montana,...

Pros: Safe, reliable, comfortable, roomy Cons: Exterior styling The Bottom Line: 10 months after buying this car I highly recommend it to family and friends. Would definitely buy it again.
This is a brief update: The vehicle is now at 66,000 miles and 3 years into ownership. * Still very smooth handling * Several small problems have been resolved but none caused by Honda (tires, normal wear and tear). * Very reliable. One of the few ...

Pros: Safe, nimble, reliable. Cons: Cupholder design needs work.
We bought our Honda Odyssey LX to accommodate an expanding family. No vehicle is perfect, but this one comes pretty close. There's room for everyone, but it easily fits in the garage. It's a massive, safe vehicle that maneuvers nimbly and accelerates...

Pros: Great engine, typical Honda quality, fun to drive Cons: Seat cushions don't support lower thighs, leather not a factory option, steering wheel can't be tilted all the way down and still see the gauges.
Like so many other people, I never thought I would purchase a minivan. The whole image of "soccer mom" or "stay-at-home" dad never appealed to this married, child-free 31-year-old male. Daily I drive a two-seat sports car and my wife...

Pros: Handling, electric doors, fit and finish Cons: Factory Alarm
I have been following the Odyssey threads for some time. I finally decided to buy one. I called a regional dealer who informed me that they had a 50 person waiting list PER COLOR, and that it would take 6-10 weeks for it to come in - but they welcomed my...

Pros: Best minivan out there, fastest too. Honda quality, huge inside. Cons: Hard to find, no price negotiations, concern over power door reliability. The Bottom Line: If you don't mind waiting, and are willing to pay MSRP - get one! We love it!
My wife and I are expecting our first child and we have started to make the necessary changes to our lifestyle:
No more fun (just kidding).
Sold the 2 seater convertible (see my other reviews)
Sold the CR-V (too small)
Got a 4-door...

Pros: folding rear seat, dual A/C, sliding middle seat Cons: power sliding door The Bottom Line: Despite the problems with the malfunctioning power sliding door, our Odyssey continues to provide comfort, reliability and flexibility and in my opinion is still a BEST BUY!

Pros: Consumer Reports top pick in mini vans Cons: scarce, not too many good color options
As Consumer Reports' top pick for a mini van in 2000, the Odyssey is one of the best buys in the market not only for its good reliability, but also because it is at a fair price. At $23,000 you can get the LX model, but I opted for the upgraded EX...

Pros: Safety, Acceleration, handling, Quiet Ride and Generous Space, Extremely practical Cons: No CD and keyless entry on LX, not much discount from MSRP
If you are looking for a minivan, you must consider Odyssey.
Safety: If you are in the minivan market, you probably have kids to pack in the back. So, I think "safety" comes first before anything in this category. It was the...
