Pros: Manual sliding doors that don't jam and freeze up Cons: None, really. It's a solid, true minivan with an excellent None, really. It's a solid, true minivan with an excellent crash record. What more could you want?
I owned a Honda 96 Odyssey and loved it. I had never imagined a minivan could have such a smooth ride and ease of handling. I upgraded to a 99 EX Odyssey.BIG MISTAKE! The power doors opened while driving twice (scary when you have young kids in the...

Pros: Quiet Ride, Good Handling, Comfy Seats, Good Ergonomics, Fun to Drive, Safe, Reliable. Cons: A Little Pricey. The Bottom Line: A comfortable, safe, well-built minivan with an exceptional reliability and safety record!
Last year, a friend of our family purchased a 2000 Honda Odyssey EX minivan. We recently had the chance to drive it for a few days.
Outside the Odyssey, is, in my opinion, the nicest styling on a minivan anywhere. Big tail lights and head...

Pros: suspension Cons: leg room, minispare, price/availability, middle seat
The two biggest flaws I found in the Odyssey were leg room and minispare.
First off, I'm 5'11". I fit just fine in the driver's seat, but when in the passenger seat, my left leg hits the dash. Honda has a strangly-designed dash that comes...

We shopped at "Friendly Honda" in upstate New York recently and just received our New EX 2001 "Starlight Silver" with some options "thrown in" at the MSRP price.
We bought this Minivan because we needed the...

Pros: storage, seating, quiet engine, cargo capacity Cons: More costly than some minivans
It was time to turn in our lumbering full size conversion van, vintage '92, that had hauled a summers worth of "stuff" from Florida to New York year after year. The Odyssey's report drew our interest because the back seat folded completely out...

Pros: Saftey Stats, Best Fuel Economy, Most Powerful Engine, Lowest Cost of Ownership, Magic Seat, Comfort, Dual/Electric Sliding Doors Cons: Price, Waiting List to Purchase
My family had owned a Windstar for 5 years and absolutely loved it. The safety rating alone meant we would get one again. But when it came time to upgrade, we did a little research.
Hands down, the Honda Odyssey topped the list. I never...

Pros: Fit and finish, powerful V6, quality throughout Cons: Long wait, dealers don't have to deal
After a 5 month stint on the waiting list, I recently took delivery of my new 2000 Honda Odyssey EX. I have been primarily a sedan owner in the past, and as I now have a small child and another on the way, I took the Mini van plunge. I purchased an...

Pros: sliding doors, folding seat, reliability, mileage Cons: climate control system too rigid
I’ve had my 2000 Honda Odyssey EX for about six months now, and I really like it. I must say that I’ve hauled more inanimate stuff than people, and the van has served me well. I’ve hauled: tons of bricks, 12 foot long 2x4’s, alpaca poop (great for...

Pros: Nice all around van. Cons: Spontaneously catches fire.
Just a warning to other 2000 Odyssey owners. Our van is 3-months old. A few weeks ago, my wife went to the gas station to fill-up. While unscrewing the gas cap, the escaping pressurized gas fumes burst into flames. Luckily, only the hair on her arm...

Pros: Huge trunk space, no major breakdowns thus far. Cons: Automatic sliding doors heavy when broken,CD player stopped working, engine hesitates at times. The Bottom Line: First model year has most minor problems, try a 2001 for a polished version.
I have this car as a lease that will expire in July of 2003. I plan to turn it in and not purchase it unless it will kill me financially.
The trunk space is indeed amazing, and I can't complain about any major engine issues. With regards...

Pros: 'Magic Seat' Powerful engine, very agile with a huge interior can be rearranged. Cons: Stereo system
After an exhaustive, all encompassing minivan search, we finally settled on the Ody. It was the first vehicle we test drove (our dealer actually had an unclaimed EX on the lot). We immediately liked the driveability, it's road manners (good on center...
