Pros: comfort, simplicity, resale, ease of taking out/folding seats Cons: annoying beeps when the doors close, road noise The Bottom Line: This van is a great investment and you will enjoy it while you have it.
I bought this Honda Odyssey in the fall of 1999 after being on a long waiting list for one. I did not even get to test drive one until I had bought mine!
I was looking for a family van and found the Odyssey to be a good van for us....

Pros: comfort, style, seat conversion Cons: engine noise when accelerating-sounds like a diesel
My Odyssey is 6 months old and has 10,000 miles.
At 2500 miles the following phenomenon took place.
Traveling at 50 mph, when accelerating to a higher speed, the engine made a sound that can best described as like a diesel. The sound disappears...

Pros: Doors Cons: Price
I bought this vehicle (2000 EX) because its supposed to be the best there is on the market. I bought the EX, with the dual power doors, for that reason alone. It appears that Honda has worked out the kinks- the auto-reverse feature works as advertised,...

Pros: Won't be stuck at the side of the road! Cons: Floor Mats are not standard
I have only owned Hondas so it wasn't too hard deciding that Honda was the way to go. At first I thought it was very expensive compared to the American models. However, once you compare "apples to apples" the Honda van is very cost effective...

Pros: easy configuration, quick speed, and highway handling Cons: static electricity, doors sticking, will not go into lower gears
Interesting review on the Odyssey Safety Hazard - catching fire due to static electricity. I have experienced extreme static electricity. Enough that I hate getting out of the van and closing the door. I try not to touch with bare hands and create...

Pros: acceleration, handling, easy seat adjustment Cons: mediocre radio
We have owned two Chrysler mini-vans in the past and once again found ourselves in a position where we needed 5 shoulder harnesses for the sake of safety. Our Isuzu Trooper was one harness short, so my wife suggested we trade it for a mini-van. I hated...

Pros: Roomy and good-looking minivan Cons: You may have to wait for a while before you actually get it.
I used to drive Toyota's Previa. I loved the minivan, but it was getting old. As Previa is no longer offered in the US, I looked at its successor, Sienna. I was not impressed. It looked too small. Then, a friend of mine recommended the new Honda...

I bought this vehicle because I wanted a car that could carry more cargo, and I also wanted a car that gave me more room. Before my purchase of this car I owned a Jetta which as you know is a compact car. I just never really felt comfortable in it...

Pros: Roomy, drives like a car. Cons: The van rolled down a driveway while in park. The Bottom Line: We loved our Odyssey up until the van rolled down a driveway while in park with the emergency break on.
We bought the Odyssey after months of research and after driving every other minivan on the market. We were impressed with the Odyssey's safety ratings, handling and roomy interior.
Shortly after purchasing our van, we noticed a shimmy in the...

Pros: Great Ride and Safety Cons: None The Bottom Line: Best van ever made and it looks like a million dollars. Love the easy back seat storing to make cargo room and the hide away back seat!
We finally purchased our new Honda Odyssey. It took six months to get it
but it was worth the wait. We researched all the minivans on the market and it was the safety rating that won us over to the Honda. Also we own a 1990 Honda Accord with...
