Pros: everything standard, great value Cons: none to this point
When it came down to it, I couldnt afford to bye any other car. Considering the standard a/c, air bags, power doors/windows/mirrors etc, and lumbar support, I quickly realized that there was no way that I could get this much car without paying some 5000...

Pros: Power for its size Cons: Will not honor warranty
Numerous Quality Issues The Bottom Line: Hyundai has a great warranty that they do not honor. If you enjoy dealerships and loaners, this car is for you! Otherwise, avoid it.
I have had my Elantra for 6 months now and have had a number of problems with it already. The worst of these is a stalling problem when pulling up to red lights. I have had it in the dealer a number of times for this problem. Because the dealer claims...

Pros: economy, value, styling Cons: none that I know of
This car is the most car for the least amount of money. It came with a 10 year 100,000 mile warranty which I don't think I will need.
The car is very peppy with 140hp and great on fuel economy. The car handles like a sports car, the steering is...

Pros: nice price and warrantee, user friendly Cons: small cup holder
I love this car. It's new, two months old, but the best part is my parents paid for it. I'm still trying to figure out what color it is. Sure the manufacturer calls it mystic teal but it looks blue to me. Sometimes it looks green but at times it may...

Pros: Very attractive car, nice ride, reliable, and good power Cons: The gas gauge reading isn't very accurate. The center console is rather small. The Bottom Line: This is a high quality car offering comfort, power, reliability, and good looks all at a great price! Anyone looking at a reasonably-sized sedan should definitely consider this car.
Although I have only owned my 2000 Elantra 4-door sedan for only about 1 month, I am extremely happy with this investment I have made. The car itself comes across as very attractive both on the inside and out. It has no problem driving up steeper roads...

Pros: good look and better power Cons: only one power door lock
I bought Elantra '2000 about 2 -months. This car has the power better than Corolla and Honda Civic. And also $2000.00 dollar cheaper. I like its look and finishing. I am very happy and I like to drive it to and from my work. Some people feels this one is...

Pros: You get more for less. Cons: Cup holders to small and not enough of them.
In the past month I have examined just about all the new lower end automobiles available in my area and only one gives the best value for the
dollar. The HYUNDAI Elantra by far offers the most for the least. With a peppy four cylinder engine,...

Pros: Dependability/Warranty/Price Cons: Dealership/Service Dept.... Love the car. Hate the company!!!!
Thin paint!! Rear ended by full-size truck at 40 mph shortly after purchase... Front end of truck looked horrible. My car held up like a trooper. Only damage was bumper that was quick and painless to have repaired.

great little wagon

Pros: Good horse power 135hp. Plenty of room. Good gas mileage. Cons: radio lcd went out, fabric on the doors loosened up. needs a bit stiffer ride.
The wagon has had a few defects. The first is the child lockout control in the shifter. Seems the little sileniod that unlocks the shifter gets stuck. So I had the mech. remove it. The cloth on the inside of the car on the doors has pulled away. Hyundai repaired it all. The Wagon runs smooth the radio lcd kept going out. I put a kenwood cd mp3 am fm radio instead. Gages are good, excellent air conditioning and heat.
The tires suck, they are Michelins. The hard plastic compound is bad when the road get just a little wet. Tires break free with ease. Great if you want to do burn outs at the local race track though. Get the new tires with the silica formula. The tires will last as long and you get better grip in bad weather.
Overall though if you get the bugs out, they tend not to return.
Good gas mileage. 26 to 27 city, 33 to 34.5 on highway depends on whether ac is on or not.
Head room good, along with leg room front and back. Wagon trunk space is great for a compact car.

My car is a lemon

Pros: Good warranty, decent highway mileage Cons: Shoddy workmanship
I bought the car new from a dealer back in March of 2000. Since then, I have experienced broken window regulators on 3 of the car's 4 windows. I've also had numerous transmission problems, had to have a defective catalytic converter replaced, and had to replace a fractured transmission fluid pan gasket just a few months after purchase. One of the A/C vents broke shortly after purchase, the brake lights experiences electrical problems after just one year, and a collision under 5mph cost $2500 in damages to the rear bumper. Of all the cars I've ever owned or leased, this by far has been the worst.
