Pros: Handles very well in the snow, provided you're not broken down. Cons: Everything. The Bottom Line: DISASTER. I took one for the team here so hopefully no one ever makes the mistake of buying this P.O.S.
As it's 2009, I dobut many people will even be finding one of these buckets of bolts to purchase. If you do, however, you're probably better off with going with a Yugo that has the decapitating windshield issue at low speeds. I am not ... read more

Pros: A beautiful, comfortable SUV, easy to handle Cons: Many major repairs, rod knock even with regular maintenance. The Bottom Line: As much as I loved it...I would not buy another one.
In 2001 I purchased my dream car, a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD. The vehicle had about 30,000 miles on it when I bought it so I purchased a very expensive extended warranty. This Jeep is now sitting in my driveway with a rod knock (at 165,000 miles ... read more

Pros: handles like a SUV, stylish enough to cruise in style Cons: 2000 was the last year with that body style The Bottom Line: If you get a chance to buy one of these Jeeps, grab for it.
I drive a Patriot Blue Jeep Cherokee and know I'll be driving it to 200,000+ miles. I have all-terrain tires (32") with a small lift kit for the needed wheel clearance. It rides and drives like a small SUV. The high clearance (even before the ... read more

Pros: Wonderful front seats
Great look/feel
Not too big Cons: Reliability issues/pricey to maintain
Rear seats are a disappointment The Bottom Line: I really want to recommend this, but I can't until it starts giving me more trouble free miles.
Bought the V6 Grand Cherokee Laredo for my wife two years ago. Had 83K miles then, about 30K more now. The price was right and this was a nice, solid feeling vehicle that would do what we needed to and a lot more if we ever asked. It's been a very ... read more

Pros: Strong & reliable engine, Solid frame, Very sturdy vehicle, 4x4! Cons: Lack of space for those sitting in the backseat. Not really meant for car seats. The Bottom Line: Great 4x4 for a small family. It's size isn't overpowering or intimidating and would be easy for anyone to drive. Very reliable with minimal problems. I'm glad we bought ours!
My husband and I bought this vehicle used in 2002 when our son was born. We needed more room and safety than I felt his Jeep Wrangler could give us. It was in excellent condition with around 35,000 miles on it at the time. Over all we've been quite ... read more

Pros: Plenty of power, excellent 4WD, great ride, few maintenance probems Cons: Small backseat, have had some AC problems The Bottom Line: I would recommend to anyone wanting a good mix between on and offroading (though on roading is good too).
I have driven several different Jeeps in my life from Honchos to CJ's to YJ's and I have loved every one of them. That is why I was excited to buy my first one 3 years ago. It is a 2000 Cherokee Sport 4WD with the 4.0l inline 6 engine. That was 3 ... read more

I own a 2000, My wife owns a 1994, My son owns a 1997, All Cherokees. They are very well put together. The interiors don't rattle. They have a very tight feel. The Cherokee is not a plush bucket. If you want a soft plushy SUV with lots of cup holders ... read more

I purchased my 2000 Jeep Cherokee Limited 4wd 2 years ago with 33k on it. Since then, i have put almost 40,000 miles on my truck and it keeps going. Gas mileage is suprisingly good for such a large engine - I'm getting 20 mpg highway. With gas prices in ... read more

Pros: Although the design wasn't changed much over 15 years, it still looked cool. Cons: 4WD poor in snow, minimal headroom, backseat, outdated interior, gas mileage, build quality. The Bottom Line: Jeep Cherokees LOOK like they're fun to own/drive but remember - looks can be deceiving.
We owned 2 different Jeep Cherokees, and ended up selling both of them and replacing with subarus. In general, it seemed that after about 50K miles everything really starts to come apart - lots of creaks and rattles develop, mechanical stuff starts to ... read more

Pros: Looks, comfort, maneuverability and by golly, it fits in my garage. Cons: Brakes might be a big cost factor, do your research carefully! The Bottom Line: Watch out for the sport brake packages - they are short lived and very costly to repair. I cannot in good faith recommend it.
