Good, but small car

by
Sep 15, 2006 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good acceleration and handling for a small car; low purchase price
Cons: A bit too small in rear seat, gas mileage just average, harsh/loud engine at times
The Bottom Line: I recommend this car, even if it is small and relatively plain.

My 2000 Nissan Sentra SE (2.0 L engine) was outfitted with the basic SE 'sport' package and an automatic transmission. The only reason I ended up selling this car was because it was just too small with too little storage for my growing family. It was ... read more

Pros: Styling, performance, comfortable interior for driver.

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great on gas, easy to drive
Cons: not much leg room
The Bottom Line: It is a great car, very cute, reliable for the amount of driving I do. But for shorter people or for those that does not have any children.

Others mentioned that the Sentra is a little noisy. Not to me. Of course, my last car was a 1985 Olds. Delta88 with a V8 engine, ANYTHING compared to that is quiet to me. All of my previous cars were older. It is now 9-10-02, I have ... read more

Pros: This car keeps going. Basic is the BEST.
Cons: Sagging doors.
The Bottom Line: Very good gas mileage, styling that is not horrible but still good looking for today. It does the job with the least amount of garage time.

My family has a 1988 Sentra which we bought some odd 13 years ago in Oregon. (We also have an 1990 Axxess too) The Sentra has lasted years of torture, and has maintained its composure inside out. Cold winters have left freezing water on the paint for ... read more

Apr 15, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great highway gas mileage, quick pickup w/ 2- passengers.
Cons: Inadequate leg room, sluggish response w/ 2+ passengers.
The Bottom Line: The 2000 Sentra SE is eye-catching and includes all of the features one could possibly need, and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.

Coming from having an '88 Chevy to a brand new car, anything could be an improvement, however, leasing a Sentra SE was a great decision. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in style, speed, and appearance. The SE model comes with just about ... read more
