Pros: Good acceleration and handling for a small car; low purchase price Cons: A bit too small in rear seat, gas mileage just average, harsh/loud engine at times The Bottom Line: I recommend this car, even if it is small and relatively plain.
My 2000 Nissan Sentra SE (2.0 L engine) was outfitted with the basic SE 'sport' package and an automatic transmission. The only reason I ended up selling this car was because it was just too small with too little storage for my growing family. It was ... read more

Pros: Styling, performance, comfortable interior for driver. Cons: Small back seat room, standard Firestone tires not that great. The Bottom Line: Sentra SE was a great bargin in 2000, and would now make a great used car for someone looking for a small, reliable car.

Pros: Great on gas, easy to drive Cons: not much leg room The Bottom Line:
It is a great car, very cute, reliable for the amount of driving I do. But for shorter people or for those that does not have any children.
Others mentioned that the Sentra is a little noisy. Not to me. Of course, my last car was a 1985 Olds. Delta88 with a V8 engine, ANYTHING compared to that is quiet to me. All of my previous cars were older.
It is now 9-10-02, I have ... read more

Pros: Value, comfort, power, quality, reliability Cons: Lack of rear seat room, small trunk, generic looks, poor resale value The Bottom Line: Nissan produced a winner with its completely redesigned 2000 Sentra. This car has a lot to offer.
I bought my 2000 Nissan Sentra GXE in March of 2000, right as the redesigned model was introduced. I have not regretted my purchase once since then. This car has served its purpose beautifully.

Pros: SE is sporty & loaded w/features, but affordable Cons: None The Bottom Line: Love this car, buy it!
We replaced a 1995 Toyota Corolla. We shopped around for about two months. The Sentra SE has 145hp and that beat most Honda and Toyota cars in the same price range. Gas mileage is great and we enjoy the luxury features (i.e. sunroof, cd player, alarm ... read more

Pros: Great highway gas mileage, quick pickup w/ 2- passengers. Cons: Inadequate leg room, sluggish response w/ 2+ passengers. The Bottom Line: The 2000 Sentra SE is eye-catching and includes all of the features one could possibly need, and I would recommend it in a heartbeat.
Coming from having an '88 Chevy to a brand new car, anything could be an improvement, however, leasing a Sentra SE was a great decision. What it lacks in size, it makes up for in style, speed, and appearance.
The SE model comes with just about ... read more

The interior styling is a cut above the other cars in it's class. The two-tone design really makes it feel upscale, and the controls are all accessible and intuitive.
