Pros: Inexpensive, good gas milage, CUTE! Cons: Not a lot of power, perceived as 'cheap' The Bottom Line: If you're in the market for an economy car TRY THIS ONE!
When my husband's older model Cadillac was run over by an 18-wheeler, we had only the bare requirements of insurance so there was no money coming from State Farm to replace the car or even to make a down payment on one. We weren't even thinking about...

Pros: Reliable, great Handling, good gas mileage, safe and inexpensive. Cons: Not a lot of power when accelerating in higher gears, especially with A/C on... The Bottom Line: Loved the car. Would definitely buy again. If you buy this car used these days, you can be sure that there are no more recalls that need to be resolved...
Back in 1998 we bought a very basic Dodge Neon that worked quite well for us. When I was pregnant with my 1st child we traded it in for a new 2000 Plymouth Neon. The Plymouth Neon was just about the same as the Dodge Neon, but I figured with a hot summer ...

Pros: Lots of pep, great price, good safety for a compact. Cons: Why do all new cars have that high back end? The Bottom Line: A reasonably good compromise of quality, safety and economy for the price.
I didn't want a race car, but the 132HP engine MOVES, which is handy when merging into highway traffic.
I didn't need a sporty look (my last car was a Geo Metro), but I've gotten a lot of compliments on the sleek sporty design. I think it...

Pros: It has a great body, and roomy interior Cons: not dependable, its all aesthetics, just don't do it.
Okay, I bought a 2000 Plymouth Neon Highline LX on the 5th of March. By the 11th of March (less than a week) it was already in the shop. How I wish I had come to Epinions before I made this grave mistake. The first thing that went wrong were the windows....

Pros: Zippy, Great Handling, Interior Comfort, Good Sound System Cons: No Power Windows for the Rear Doors The Bottom Line: Good car at a great price--very good performance, comfortable interior and decent build quality.
I "fell into" a great deal on a slightly used '00 Plymouth Neon LX. The original owners had traded it in after one year of ownership because it didn't have antilock brakes. I picked the car up with 19,000 miles on the odometer for a proverbial...

Pros: Comfortable seats. Good pickup on the highway IF you maintain the car. Cons: Back seat's a little cramped. The Bottom Line: 2000 Neon has been an excellent car for my family. No major problems. Would gladly buy another Neon.
It may seem strange that I review this in 2005, but I wanted to post a review in case anyone is thinking of getting an old car just to get around town with, etc. My husband and I bought our 2000 Neon in December 1999. (My price paid is due to employee ...

Pros: Awesome gas mileage, hugs the roads. Cons: Don't feel like I have enough metal around me sometimes. The Bottom Line: This is a good run around car and saves a ton at the pump. It's really fun to drive.
Looks can be deceiving. The 2000 Plymouth Neon may be a little aged and small in size, but it pack a punch on the roads and doesn't empty out the wallet. I purchased this mighty little wonder a year ago now. It was five years old and had only 37,000 ...

My parents bought me a 2000 Plymouth Neon as a safe, reliable car for college to get me between home and school. I received the car as a gift in October 1999 and I have LOVED it ever since. It is safe, roomy, peppy, and so sporty for a passenger...

Pros: Scalable for tall and short people, great sound system, great lumbar support and rides very smooth. Cons: No teenagers or adults can comfortably fit in the back seat. The mpg are actually 24mpg on highway and 20mpg in the city.
As a 6'2" male with a 4'11" wife, I have a unique predicament when buying a new car. We both have to be able to reach the pedals, and the ride has to be comfortable. Being a father of 2, I also have to be sensible. We wanted an economical...

OK, I have a Neon Highline with just over 24,000 miles, Automatic, Air, etc. I have not noticed any of the problems posted in other reviews. I bought my Neon used at around 19,000 miles. Love It! I have noticed excessive brake dust on the front wheels...

Pros: More trunk room, more power, more of everything and shh! QUITE! Cons: Monkey like door closing when entering the vehicle
My wife and I bought our first Neon in 1995. It was the bare bones model and lasted us 75,000 trouble free miles! Just changed the oil, put tires on it! It was NEVER aligned!
So, I decided that it was time to upgrade to the Neon 2000. I test...

Pros: gutsy, comfortable, more spacious than other compacts Cons: no electric rear window, no overdrive, a little louder at higher speeds.
I bought the 2000 Neon looking for a dependable, American made, auto for commuting to and from work. I work about 50 miles from my home and wanted a vehicle that gets good gas mileage. The Neon is listed at 25-35mpg. It gets much closer to 25mpg than...
