Pros: High quality, comfortable interior Cons: Not a sports sedan The Bottom Line: Acceptable in most respects, but not a breakthrough in any way.
I'll admit it: Where possible I like to patronize American brands. However, I will only do so when their products are competitive. Often, they are not (as many of my reviews conclude). When they are, it is often because a foreign subsidiary was ...

Pros: Euro Feel, Smooth Engine, Great storage, A Drivers Car Cons: loose and poorly fitted plastic
Having driven this car for 3,000 miles now, I would like to make some observations beyond my initial review.
After doing some extensive research and test driving 9 different automobiles, I decided on the Saturn LS1. The main reasons for...

Pros: Roomy Interior, Nice Dash, Good Stereo, Looks Good Cons: Harsh Engine (4cyl) many other choices for the price
The new, larger Saturn is a good looking car. It looks big without being huge. Interior room is adequate but much better than the smaller SC line of cars. The controls are well placed and make sense, they also lack that cheap plastic-y feel typical of...

Pros: Bigger size and much roomier, more options and features including safety, price, very dependable Cons: Nothing major
My parents recently bought my sister the new Saturn LS, and lucky me, I got to drive it for a week while she flew home. I currently own a Saturn SL1 '97 (and before that an SL'95) so it was fun to try out the new (highly advertised) Saturn LS.

Pros: Safety features, stiff body structure and the independent suspension gives you a ride comparable to European imports, Kevlar impregnated timing belt, oil life monitor Cons: No cons with the car, customer service difficulty with some independently owned Saturn dealers
The phenomenal LS2 6 cylinder 2000 Saturn, what a car! It represents inspiration at it's best! Why do I use a word such as inspirational? Consider a standard option such as a oil life monitor. A monitor that takes into consideration the length of...

Pros: roomy, great for those big and small Cons: hard to see out the rear window because of high trunk
I bought my Saturn LS2 2000 in November of 1999. At that time I was possibly carrying twins and we needed a car that would be both roomy and safe. We originally were going to buy a truck but the prices were just out of hand for even a base model. ...

Pros: performance, handling, comfort Cons: bad styling
Poor Saturn. The original S-Series cars are too old, too crude and too small. A midsized car is really what Saturn needs. So they give us the new LS, a really good car with really bad styling. But I felt it deserved a look anyway, besides people are...

Pros: Fun Car, Nice power for a 4cyl, Nice CD player. Friendly Saturn Service. Cons: Side view mirrors! The Bottom Line: I hope Saturn re-designs the side view mirrors in the 2002 model. Definitely not your father's "American Made" car!
This car has been more fun to drive than I ever imagined. I purchased it "pre-owned" with under 2000 miles on it, so I only paid $15,500 for it. The LS1 cloth seats are very comfortable and supportive. The seats are very adjustable for hard driving....

Pros: Great gas mileage, fantastic warranty and service, classy looking, can tow with automatic transmission, price is low, holds their value. Cons: will give you a fair trade in on your car but will not deal
Last Fall we bought a SL2 Saturn. BOY, DO WE LOVE OUR CAR. The main reason we bought it is that it gets GREAT GAS MILEAGE. It gets 35 MILES to a gallon on the highway and at 26 MILES to a gallon in town. Considering the price of gasoline these...

Pros: Size, trunk space, keyless entry and engine power Cons: interior plastic door handles, back seat not as big as it could be
After owning the smaller SL2 for several years, I traded it in for the new LS2 model. My wife recently had a child and we needed a bigger car for all of the baby stuff and the trunk space. The LS2 was a great move for the Saturn Corporation. The mid...

Pros: Drives like a sports car, as roomy as the Camry or Accord Cons: Window buttons are hard to get used to near the floor shifter
I recently traded in my 1995 Toyota Camry for a 2000 Saturn LS2. I went to the Toyota dealership first and was not treated like they wanted me there, so I went next door to the Saturn dealer, what a difference!
I purchased from Saturn partly...

Pros: stylish, zippy (6-cyl), solid feel, price, warranty service, dent-free panels Cons: window control placement, some warranty work needed, size of gas tank The Bottom Line: Buy a Saturn LS-2. It rides well, gets decent mileage (26 hwy), is priced right compared to other cars with the same features, and NO MORE DOOR DINGS. Yay!
The Saturn LS-2 is a pretty terrific car for the money. Here's the story of how we made our decision:
CAR SHOPPING: We didn't know we were doing it, but last summer my husband and I went shopping for a new car. We told ourselves that we would...

Pros: Great family car, good performance, lots of extras Cons: Front brakes shed black dust
I've been the proud owner of my Saturn LS-1 for about 10 months now. This is not my first Saturn. Almost exactly a year before we bought this car we had purchased an SL, with which we were quite pleased. At the time, the dealer had given us information...

Pros: Awesome Front Seats, Hugh Trunk, Great Engine and Transmission, Superb Communicative Suspension. Excellent Insurance Rates Cons: Stock Firestone Affinity Tires (ditch them when you buy the car or trade them into the dealer for an upgrade)
Well, after driving nearly every competent car under $30,000.00 (the Nissan Maxima, Toyota Avalon and Subaru Legacy to be specific) I came to the conclusion that not only for the money but the best overall performing car and dealer network was the Saturn...

Pros: Very reliable, safe, sturdy and fuel efficient Cons: If you want a better car for about the same price, go ahead and get a Honda.
When my happy little 1996 Honda Civic DX died an unfortunate and tragically early death in an icy-road-induced accident, I thought my heart would never mend. Unlike some people, I wasn't handed the keys to a new car the day I turned sixteen. I had to...
