Pros: Customer service, reliability, safety, fuel economy Cons: The four-cylinder leaves a bit to be desired; very sensitive keyless entry system
I always thought Saturn owners were crazy. If you got them talking about their cars, they would seem to stare off into space and go on and on about their Saturns. I, typically, thought, "Shut up, man. It's just a car." The loyalty of those...

Pros: Excellent value for the price Cons: S-Series need just a little more get-up-and-go The Bottom Line: Although it's now an "old" model, it is a good representative of the Saturn S-series in general: a good, reliable, safe car for a reasonable price.
I owned a 1996 Saturn SL2 until March of 2001, when I decided it was time for a change. I was driving 35 miles one way to work in heavy stop-and-go traffic...in a MANUAL transmission car. DEFINITELY time for a change. I investigated a few other vehicles...

Pros: Very Safe, Looks Nice, Good Price Cons: 3 seats in back, but only fits 2 children. The Bottom Line: If we weren't planning on the 3rd child, we wouldn't have needed to upgrade to a larger vehicle and would have kept this car for sure.
We leased the Saturn 2000 SL2 in March of 2000. We did a lot of research about safety and this car met the highest standards of what we were looking for.
We had a warranty for the entire time we had the car, and it was always serviced when...

My Saturn is a 2000, but it is brand new to me! I have wanted to own a Saturn since I first saw them when they opened the plant in my native state of Tennessee. When we moved to Canada I needed a new car because my current Ford would not pass the...

Pros: Reliable, low-cost, friendly car company Cons: no rain guards on doors
I bought my first car two weeks after I finished graduate school. I had literally been trying to save for a down payment for years. I had always relied upon carpooling with my mother or friends to get places. I also had my heart set on a Honda. Yes,...

Several months after finding out we were going to have a baby, my husband and I realized that it was time to start looking at four door cars. We both drove small, two-door hatchbacks and pictured the difficulties we would have getting a baby in and out...

My wife and I were ready to buy a Sturn SL2. We had done all the reading, loved the finance options, loved the options, we thought it would be a great car. Then we drove it. We couldn't get back to the dealer fast enough. We took it out on a 15...

Pros: The price is right, that body frame Cons: Lacking comfort and road noise The Bottom Line: Good buy if you, like me, are focused on the bottom line: cost of purchase, cost of ownership.
After owning a Honda, I thought I'd try this SL. I'm not much of a car enthusiast, and I wanted to pay as little as possible for something that offered reliability and decent gas mileage. This looks like it will turn into a good choice, for me. However,...

Pros: gas mileage, classy styling, interior comfort, surprising factory speakers Cons: not especially speedy, slight interior noise and vibration at high speeds The Bottom Line: Its not speedy. Its not flashy. But its a decent car, and its just different enough to not be just another Camry.
When it was obvious that my '87 Corsica wasn't going to make it much past 130,000 miles, I started looking for a new car. I didn't have a lot of money, I didn't have a lot of time, and I'm way to picky for my own good. I ended up with a 2000 SL2, and I...
