Pros: Reliability, braking, steering, acceleration, exterior styling, gas mileage Cons: Small back seat, small trunk The Bottom Line: Great reliability, steering and braking, acceleration, gas mileage, comfort (for the front seats anyways), and out of this world styling make this car fun to drive and practical.
The advantages of this car are as follows: The 2000 Subaru Impreza 2.5 RS is one of the sportiest looking cars on the road today. Not only is it sporty but it's also practical for everyday driving. The vehicle has a lot of ground clearance, due to the ... read more

Pros: Tourqey engine...handles well...look is unique... Cons: Paint peels on plastic front fascia/hood...no trunk light...limited room...requires above average maintenance The Bottom Line: Potentially a fantastic car, could be a dream come true...however, difference between average and awesome cars is in the details, and here, Subaru has missed the mark. Caveat emptor.
Final update: 2010I'll leave the badly outdated review below - for historical background. But here's my consolidated thoughts on my 2000 Subaru Impreza RS. Overall, the pros I listed held true throughout my user experience. ... read more

Pros: Excellent handling and traction, torque, ergonomics, good balance Cons: Back seat doesnt fold down, could use more power, OEM stereo is weak The Bottom Line: Super all-weather driver's car: not as fast as the WRX nor as expensive as an all-rad Porsche.
This is quite the little car. Its handling if anything beats the (legendary) RX-7 whose space it has taken in my garage, and on slick surfaces the Subaru is simply amazing (best I’ve ever driven). Front seat and driver’s ergonomics are basically perfect, ... read more

Pros: A great car to drive. Sheer power Cons: Comfort lost for handling The Bottom Line: Just buy one!
This has to be the definative hottest saloon around.
Think about it. Its basically a wolf in Sheeps clothing.
OK, it may look like an ordinary family car and the only thing that gives its true purpose away is the huge air intake for the turbo ... read more

Pros: peppy, cornering ability, stylish look, and absolutely fun to drive Cons: bad cup hold locations, no trunk light, small center console The Bottom Line: This car is for the single person looking for fun and reliability, not to mention being able to sweep past all other cars in the middle of a snowstorm.
I worked at a ford dealership for over three years, driving just about anything imaginable (other than ford from the used car lot). I had driven a few imports, but wasn't to impressed with the ride or interior space.
I was driving a 92 explorer and ... read more

Pros: AWD, flat-four engine, looks, and the list goes on! Cons: Cheap interior materials, crapola sound system. The Bottom Line: Best car in the sub $25K market!
I have been in love with the Impreza for years. In fact, I researched this car for about two years before I actually went out and bought it. I considered many factors and tried to find the "perfect car" under $25k. I came to the conclusion that nothing ... read more

I bought the RS25 Impreza about 4 months ago, because of it's great performance, adequate interior, and massive amounts of headroom (I'm 6' 4") and love it.

I have not bought this vehicle, but i am considering making it my next purchase. I want an Impreza 2.5 RS sedan. This car is beautiful! With a 2.5 L horizontally opposed 4 cyl this car has 165 HP to scoot quite nicely. With Subaru's all wheel drive ... read more
