Pros: Cute, Fun Cons: El Cheapo
”What’s this?” you ask? Suzuki’s somewhat successful attempt at an economy car. While not the best car out there for the money, it is cute, and it does take you where you want to go.
Da Looks…

Pros: Nice cargo capacity, more storage then I have things to store Cons: Didn't feel the magic.
With the lease on my 1997 Honda Civic DX paid off, I find myself with a little under a year to own a car free and clear before I have to turn the sweet thing in. So naturally, I'm looking now.
I like my Civic, but...well, let's face...

Pros: Good looks, shiny paint, energetic engine that is stingy on gas. Cons: No tilt wheel or factory cruise, cupholder doesn't hold up. The Bottom Line: Suzuki has produced a very favorable option in the subcompact economy class with nice features not always offered and plenty of room for a tall driver. Add cruise control.
Upon the advise of my mechanic, I checked out the Suzuki Esteem sedan. I had never heard of it before and was surprised to find it very pleasing to the eye -- much more so than the Chevy Metro and other comparable subcompacts.
After...

Pros: Pretty fast and smooth ride Cons: Practically everything The Bottom Line: The pros of the car are seriously outweighed by the cons
THE SUZUKI ESTEEM IS KNOWN AS SUZUKI BALENO IN EUROPE Ever since the day I bought my first car which was a Fiat 126 I have been a fan of smaller cars. The largest and fastest car I've owned was an XR2 which someone theived after just a couple of ...

Pros: Loaded with amenities, low price, fuel efficient Cons: Overly sensitive controls
When my trusty truck died last year, I needed a car that wouldn't break my bank account. In the tough economic times that Hawaii is going through, price was my primary consideration, and I was prepared to sacrifice greatly just to get a car. Then I saw...

Pros: Average transportation Cons: slow, lagging engine
Suzuki is not trying to win any awards with their 2000 Esteem. I co-drive the GLX version of the car, and my brother-in-law also drives one, but personally, it doesn't suit me.
Suzuki's attempt to come up with a comparable car to the Honda...

Pros: pretty color, nice standard features, good accelleration Cons: nothing big. just dull The Bottom Line: Just okay is not the way you should feel about a new car
I asked my friend Inbal how she liked her new car. Her response, "It's okay, I guess." I've never encountered such ennui in response to a new car. Her new car is a Suzuki Esteem GLX. She got hers in a paint color called "Bluish Black Pearl" which is...

Pros: Cheap, fuel economy (if you can get the gas in), Cons: cheap, thin skinned, higher insurance than more expensive cars, premature brake wear. A Lemon. The Bottom Line: Not Recommended. There are better choices out there than this bare-bones car such as a Toyota Tercel or Echo.
Leased my 2000 Suzuki Esteem in October of 1999. By April 2000 with only 5000 km on the odometer, I was finding difficulty refueling the car. The gas pumps would shut off repeatedly as if the gas tank were full even though it was near empty. This made ...

Pros: Cute, Fast, roomy, cheap, good gas mileage Cons: cheap The Bottom Line: It's a good car for someone who drives a lot and it doesn't suck gas like those damn suv's.
I finally graduated from college so my parents decided that I should have a new car. They chipped in 12 grand and I had a couple grand saved up. I went looking for a cheap nice car. First I looked at the Kia rio but it seemed really cheap and clanky...

Pros: easy to drive, gas efficient, reliable Cons: small engine, no cruise control, weak speaker system
We bought it with 160,000 km and it runs well when taking this into consideration. At 180,000 km, it still gets us where we need to be. Great on gas and spacious (given it's small frame.)

Pros: Good on gas and nice pick up go Cons: Crappy AM-FM system. Can't find after market parts like
body kit,lights.
I love my Esteem. I'm into car shows and small cars are hot right now. When I started to customize my esteem it was really nice. Now I get a lot of compliments about it.
I like the power I have with a few changes and add ons.
I don't know about others but I get great on gas.
