Pros: Room, storage, smooth, quiet Cons: Questionable aesthetics The Bottom Line: It's aesthetics are questionable, but its roominess and comfort are not.
While I wouldn't buy this car, I can see why it would be a very good car for some people. Like the aunt I test drove it with. She has a Camry now. And if you really like a Camry, you'll just love an Avalon. Who would it be good for? People who ...

Pros: Comfortable, practical, well-engineered and durable. Even after all these years. Cons: Floppy trunk, bland styling on the XL, "old-person" car The Bottom Line: A safe, fuel-efficient alternative to an SUV that gives you some pretty serious luxury.
I love writing reviews on old cars. So many people have already rang in with their opinion of this car that it seems like any additional information would be old news. Or would it be? Maybe not. For the frugal among us who still enjoy the finer ...

Pros: Spacious, comfortable, powerful, quiet, good fuel economy Cons: Engine knock, suspension can be too soft, bland interior The Bottom Line: For those with Lexus tastes but a Toyota budget, check out the Avalon.
I purchased a used 2000 Toyota Avalon back in June of 2005 from a local Toyota dealer's used car lot. At the time, it had 70,000 miles on it. A Carfax report indicated that it had one previous owner who lived in a small, remote town about 60 ...

Points Are From 1-10 (1-Bad, 10-Good) on the 2000 Toyota Avalon XL
Exterior-8
The Exterior was very nice looking. It was kind of bland looking but to me it looks nice. The Taillights are what brings it down to an 8. I think the reverse...

Pros: Comfy, smooth, seat memory Cons: bad front cup holders, poor rear defogger
In June we bought a 2000 Avalon and love it! It is roomy, comfortable and has all the gadgets to keep us happy. In trying to decide whether to lease or buy we decided that this car is as good as an Acura or Lexus and would probably never upgrade, so we...

Pros: Roomines Cons: Little Horse Power
To start off we need to talk about the Avalon's appearance. The Avalon's exterior has the plentiful chrome trim and the formal shape of a full-sized luxury car. There is not even a hint of Camry anywhere, but, rather, an interesting combination of...
