Pros: Great design, loaded with features, powerful V6 engine, a joy to drive. Cons: My driver's seat squeaks. The Bottom Line: Great car - I love it! If you're looking for a powerful, comfortable and quiet sedan, go drive the Acura 3.2 TL -- you won't be disappointed.
My husband and I bought a new Acura 3.2 TL in April 2001. With a hot Wisconsin summer coming up and broken air conditioning (big bucks to fix) in my old car, we decided to go ahead and car shop. After looking at several others, specifically the...

Pros: Acceleration, Ride, Comfort, and a Surprising Head Turner. Cons: Steering wheel has no telescoping adjustment, no folding rear seats (only a pass-through) The Bottom Line: The Type S satisfies the needs of a family and a wannabe racer for about $30,000. Highly recommended by a 50 y/o male with a 5 year old son.
In December of 1995 I bought a new 1996 Eagle Talon TSi (Turbocharged). I loved the car and there’s nothing like the sudden rush of power you get from a turbocharged engine. Nevertheless, I got the new car bug and started researching the BMWs. The...

Pros: luxury, performance, value, comfort, reliability, build quality, safety Cons: Terrible dealer experience since day one The Bottom Line: Heck of a bargain on paper, but mine was terrible in execution and dealer support. Buy a Lexus.
Update 07/27/01:
Well, my initial review was pretty positive. However, I have changed my mind on the car.
1) The sales department lied to me twice when buying the car - told me that I could not install the optional shift knob myself, and...

Pros: Beautiful styling, great value, Acura quality! Cons: No six disc changer. 2001 model year seems neglected. The Bottom Line: A beautiful car with great value and quality, but get the 2002 model if you can afford to pay a little bit more.
I'm an 18 year old male who had a sports car before getting this TL. Now, it seems fairly odd for a teenage male to be interested in such an "old person" car, but the TL is one beautifully styled car with great value and a lot of sex appeal.

Pros: OUTSTANDING VALUE, plenty of power, all the toys, did I say OUTSTANDING VALUE? Cons: Styling is a little bland, could use a little more back seat space The Bottom Line: An absolute steal (even at sticker) for the price and acceleration that will put a grin on your face.

Below is my original review followed by the update.
What else can I say that anyone hasn't? I'll try. I start with why I bought this car. I recommended this car in '99 to a...

Pros: Great value, and buttery smooth operation Cons: can be a bit tight fitting for passengers taller than 6'4" The Bottom Line: This is an awesome deal. Forget about BMW and Lexus. And with the new sportier package just around the corner, watch out!
I'll Keep it short a simple. This is an amazingly tight package -- meaning GOOD!
This is a most bang for the buck car! I picked mine up for $26,900. And I love it. My wife and I fight over who is going to drive it.
The...

Pros: Nice ride and very comforting. Cons: Nothing more than a slightly nice Accord. The Bottom Line: This car is simply a souped up Accord, but you won't be too disappointed if you choose to by it.
Ok folks, I got this car on November 17, 2000. While I can promise you I haven't had any major problems with my car, I can tell you it isn't amazing. I got it in Navy blue with tan leather interior and no Nav system. Since the 3.2 TL basically comes...

Pros: DVD navigation, automanual, solid ride, sporty V6, reliability, general value for the money. Cons: Keep on DVD update schedule, flimsy control stalks. The Bottom Line: Phenomenal used-car value. You get more than you pay for, and you will have it for a long time (it's a Honda)...
If you are looking for a used car (I was), give the 2001 TL a hard look. With 46k miles (off-lease), this car runs like a dream. The interior is still crisp, tight, and working perfectly. The outside lines have held their style, and the drive ...

Pros: Well made and appointed car. Excellent used car choice. Cons: A few more cosmetic blemishes than I would like The Bottom Line: I'd recommend this to anyone in the market for a nice used sedan. Watch out for cosmetic blemishes if those are important to you.
I recently bought a 2001 3.2TL to replace an old Toyota Camry. My other car is a Lexus RX300. Actually, that's my wife's car more than mine. So far, I'm pleased with the TL. Nicely appointed, strong engine. Generally good features. A few more ...

Pros: Value, engine and handling, all around quality Cons: No manual available, still not the same as a BMW or Audi The Bottom Line: Great car for anybody who wants good quality all around without shelling out big cash for the likes of BMWs and Audis.
Concerning the title, he car was deserving of a little more then the title of Poor Man's BMW. The Acura TL is a good car, but what makes it even better is the price tag. For much less then many comparative German sedans you get a car with performance...

Pros: Great ride, handling, looks, features, reputation Cons: No fold-down rear seats
First of all, I am not an "aficionado" (sp?) of automobiles, but I know what I like. Second, I don't own this car (yet), but it's in the lead as far as the autos I've researched and test driven.
I currently am a very happy 1997...

Pros: Pros: great handling and pick up, great overall value Cons: Cons: no memory seats
I initially wrote this review for the 2000 TL model, however, Acura has changed nothing from the previous year, so this review also covers the 2001 model TL.
When I went looking for a new car to replace my aging '93 maxima, I first thought...

Pros: Great value considering all that is standard; fabulous handling Cons: wipers, pass-through from trunk inadequate
I've owned this vehicle for two months now, and I could not be happier. This was my first new car purchase in 11 years (yes, I'm a tightwad), and I did a tremendous amount of research before making a purchase. The TL looks great (though beauty is...

Pros: Strong engine Cons: Too similar to the Honda Accord EX V6
I have had my eye on the TL for a few years. I finally got some money to buy it. This is a great looking car with a strong engine. It is very roomy inside with great seats. Here are the Pros for this car.
3.2 liter engine delivers POWER. You...

Pros: The long list of standard features. Cons: American quality control. The Bottom Line: I would seriously consider other options, like the Camry/ES300, Audi, Mercedes, or BMW.
If you are in the market for a $30,000 mid-luxury sports sedan, this is the vehicle of choice...at least on paper. A long list of standard features that are optional on the competition, and even an optional navigational system, all for a sticker price...
