Pros: Handled awful driving conditions with power, confidence and safety; a joy to drive Cons: Quirky CD player eats discs, mirrors whistle The Bottom Line: Handles the worst roads with comfort, safety and confidence. Best sound system going, just don't feed it thick CDs. No problems after a solid year of driving; it's all good!
I had a Mazda Tribute and was very happy with it; great price, superb handling, thrilling power/weight ratio, even at highway speeds still lots of acceleration tucked away ready for passing.
But...I carry more than five people sometimes and...

Pros: roomy, powerful, good looking, great value, environmentally friendly Cons: nothing significant The Bottom Line: It's a great vehicle for the price. It's comfortable, roomy, rides great, and is environmentally friendly.
After owning the sporty BMW 328 for a little over a year, the boyfriend and I (OK, mostly just the boyfriend) decided that it was time for a change. A big change! That change was to come in the form of the Acura MDX. After having the car for about two...

Pros: Good fuel economy for a SUV. The VTEC engine is powerful and ULEV rated. Cons: Some wind noise and leather squeaks. Rear looks like a minivan. The Bottom Line: Buy this, if you don't want a huge truck based SUV but need seating for 7 plus a utility cargo.
VTEC engine with 240 horse power and 50 states ULEV. I averaged about 19 MPG in the city (17 city / 23 hwy). The interior has versatile seating configuration and cargo space. Fold down seats are the best (2 row -60/40 3rd row 50/50). The stereo system...

Pros: 4 wheel drive when needed, luxurious seats, comfortable ride Cons: Center console awkward for drinks, could spill easily and affect seat controls for heat The Bottom Line: Wonderful vehicle, comfortable ride, plush leather interior and seats, excellent ride for long trips or short! Terrific surround sound Monsoon stereo with 6-disk CD player.
The Acura MDX is a top notch SUV. The ride is tremendous and provides a lot of luxury that is right up their with the Lincoln, Mercedes and Lexus SUV's.
The mileage is somewhat better than most of the SUV's. With our...

Pros: Smooth, quiet handling, crisp braking, comfort, cargo capacity Cons: Wind noise with moon roof open on highway, hard to get into 3rd row seating The Bottom Line: Overall the MDX handles very well, much like a car. If you are looking to get a lot of value for your money, the MDX is well worth it!
Well I have to say that the MDX was worth every penny I spent on it. My wife and I just drove to Vermont for the weekend and it performed beautifully. We are both in love with this SUV.
There are very few things we dont like about the MDX so...

Pros: Good handling, smooth ride, luxury seats, nice SUV to drive. Cons: Fake wood(doesn't matter to me). The Bottom Line: Well, if you're lookin' or a SUV that's isn't huge, isn't expensive, and IS great, then this is the car for you.
So, you are looking or a SUV to buy. After hard decisions, you have two SUV's left. The 2001 Acura MDX, and the 2001 BMW X5. Finally, you go for the MDX; cheaper, has almost all that the X5 has, looks great, is one of the "luxurious" SUV's.

Pros: Great value. Sleek look. Innovative 4wd design. Everything is standard. Cons: 1st year model. Dealer markups. The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for an SUV and wants something that drives like a car, this is the one for you.
We bought our MDX on November of 2000 when it first came out. It was very hard to find a dealership that is willing to sell it to you at MSRP. We basically paid about $1500 over MSRP but we got to choose the color we wanted and the accessories we...

Acura has done a fine job with their recent cars designs. The TL sedan CL couple have everything but personality. The MDX suffers from the same problem. Besides that it is an excellent vehicle. The Engine offers good performance keeping it right next...

Pros: car like
roomy
refined
innovative features Cons: third seat is too small for adults.
Moderate cargo room with third seat up. The Bottom Line: New, upscale. Incredible technology and craftsmanship separates the MDX from the rest.
The MDX was developed by Honda for those who don't know. They spent plenty of time developing the "perfect all-terrain vehicle." 7 years to be exact. Anyway, it's release in 2000 astonished everyone including myself. At first, I was pretty skeptical...

Pros: Lots of space, power, utility, and comfort Cons: no history, below-average braking, cabin noise The Bottom Line: A great all-around SUV for people who have young families or who otherwise need to haul lots of stuff. Top-rated by Car and Driver and Motor Trend magazines.
We originally put down a deposit on the MDX, but later switched to the BMW X5. There's much to recommend the MDX, and we continue to believe that it will be an ideal SUV for many people.
There’s no such thing as the perfect vehicle to meet...
