Pros: More power, more aural feedback, more fun Cons: More money The Bottom Line: Love the new engine, not so crazy about the price.
BMW has had a problem on its hands lately. For 2000, they offered two engines in the 3-Series, a 170 hp 2.5 liter and a 193 hp 2.8 liter. Now, 23 horsepower is nothing to sneeze at, but with BMW charging about $5500 more for the larger engine (after ...

Pros: Wagon versatility, glue-like traction, BMW solidity, in-line six engine, great seats, gas mileage Cons: BMWs are not for everyone due to cost of infrequent repairs The Bottom Line: A great, versatile, fun car. Find a private BMWCCA-listed BMW mechanic and you won't regret it. Be prepared to pay for infrequent but not inexpensive repairs.
I bought my 325xiT used with 32,000 miles. I am now in my 3rd winter with the car, it now has over 70,000 on it. I am sharing my mixed experiences with the vehicle. This is my 3rd BMW, all of which have been 3 series. I still have my 1994 325i ...

Pros: Fast, fun, good MPG, Looks great! Cons: Small BMW issues that seem to never go away. The Bottom Line: Great combination of Sport, comfort, style, and AWD with the fuel efficiency of a much smaller car
I have been a BMW owner for many years. My last 2 were en E36 325, my last was a E39 528i. The winters here finally took their toll on me with rear wheel drive cars, so I decided as the 5 series was getting a bit long in the tooth, I would look around at ...

Pros: Handling, Performance, Safety, Style, Great~value~if~options~chosen~wisely, Can~take~delivery~in~Europe, Many~choice~of~body~styles Cons: Could end up with expensive "entry-level" BMW if not careful with options and needs The Bottom Line: A perfect blend of performance and luxury, while looking great and providing a joyful drive. European Delivery is a great option to consider.
I thought I'd take a different approach to the car Epinion. This one will be about comparing the 325 and the 330 models of BMW's most popular 3-series for the year 2001. I will go through the differences, the options and what they are intended for, so...

Today I took a BMW for a test drive. This is my first time driving a BMW, and while I was very impressed, several things about the car were very disappointing. The model I test drove(the 330XI) had all-wheel-drive,a manual transmission, heated leather ...

Pros: This newer E46 3-Series rocks in Style, Luxury and Performance. Cons: Less sporty than older E30 series, automatic trans simply decent - nothing incredible. The Bottom Line: This car is a wonderful balance between an luxury auto and a sports car. Quiet, yet responsive. Functions as a family sedan when needed. I love this car.
I purchased my 330i via the Certified Pre-Owned program (CPO) with 33k miles on the odometer in February of 2004. It is the Steptronic transmission (automatic which can shift like a manual). It came with the Premium package: wood trim, power seats with ...

I recently purchased my 2001 BMW 325Cic (convertible) and I absolutely love it. I bought it from United BMW of Roswell Georgia as a CPO (Certified Pre-Owned) program car. I'd spotted it on their lot after-hours and approached the dealership with a ...

Pros: Powerful engine, styling, transmission and suspension, safety, fuel economy, lo maintenance Cons: Price is way too high, everything is optional and costs extra The Bottom Line: The 330 is a great car. I only wish it would be less expensive so I wouldnt feel like I am paying too much.
The BMW 3-series is not a “value-priced” car. I read that BMW has the largest profit margin of all car manufacturers – 11% of the car’s price is BMW’s profit.

Pros: BMW prestige, great handling, braking, smooth ride, safety, nice interior Cons: BMW image, high price, reliability concerns, dealer service waits, small The Bottom Line: If you value handling over luxury, value, amenities, and spaciousness, the BMW 325i is hard to beat. If you want an affordable sporty and cush cruiser, keep looking.
The new 325i finally gets the engine size matched up with the nomenclature, and adds a few more hp in the process, but its not the car for everyone, and specifically, not for me. The BMW 3 series is probably the best driving car in its class, its safe...

Pros: Handling, braking, acceleration, tasteful interior, engine music, fun! Cons: I cannot drive it while I am asleep The Bottom Line: The price point allows access to BMWs best engineering features-smooth powerful engines, strong brakes and road hugging suspension.
I have been driving a 2001 BMW325i for the past 9 months and thought it about time I say a few (i.e many) words about the car, particularly in light of the many Troll reviews that "grace" the pages of epinions.
Much of what you will read is common...

Pros: Solid Feel, Excellent Handling, Horsepower, DIY dream car, design Cons: Soft suspension setting, High maintenance, lack of bells and whistles The Bottom Line: There is a reason why 3-Series has been on the top list of every car magazine since it was introduced. Do your homework before buying one.
I purchased my 2001 BMW 330i sedan around 2004 with 18,000 miles on it. BMW 3-series has been my dream car, so I jump at the chance at owning one. I haven't had a single regret ever since. I expect most readers to be future BMW used car buyers, so ...
