Fun to Drive...when it's not in the shop.

by reecerh
Jul 02 '07

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Drives smooth, looks incredible, decent mileage
Cons: In the shop all the time. Cost of repair if not under warranty.
The Bottom Line: Don't buy. Plagued with problems and expensive repairs.

I purchased my first (and probably only) BMW back in 01. For the first year, the car drove like a dream. It has a great prestigious look to it, and it's just fun to drive. After a year though, the car started showing problems, and I had to take it to the ...

Worst car ever owned

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: style, performance
Cons: Reliability, dealer service, cost
The Bottom Line: Will never consider owning another BMW - unreliable, lousy dealer service, overpriced.

Decent performance, although expensive. I think you can get similar performance for less money. In first 5000 miles, almost half from taking to/from dealer and testing repairs, the car was in the shop six times for the same problem. Dealer refuses to...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: styling and handling
Cons: Poor reliablity and bad service after the sale
The Bottom Line: This is not my first BMW but its probably my last. Way too many problems for the money. Stay clear.

Since purchasing this car in 2001 I have 11k miles. I am on my fourth visit back to the dealer for problems. 5 visits if i counted the (12 month "low mile" service at 10k miles). The problems I involved defective power mirror, overheating, recall on...

Cons: Without question the rudest, most incompetent customer service ever
The Bottom Line: Let the buyer beware ! I will never buy another BMW again.

Handline Performance at a price

by rdse46
Nov 06 '01

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 2.0 Recommended: No

Pros: styling, handling, luxury, smooth, sporty
Cons: noisy interior, rattles, poor acceleration, poor reliability, poor service, expensive
The Bottom Line: Go with an Japanese import for reliability, go with a German import for the prestige.

This car handles very well, it sticks to the road, but there is a high price to pay for this. The car feels very sluggish coming from a stop, the weight combined with the lack of horsepower makes the car feel very heavy. Although the car looks nice &...

Mini Luxury

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Nice leather, rides great
Cons: a little cramped, bad pick-up
The Bottom Line: Get it for luxury and looks, not for pickup or roominess

Well well well, it does appear BMW has scaled down its already scaled down car, the 330. Now do not get me wrong, this is a nice car and has great looks, but its a lot better in the coupe version, because the back seat barely fits children over the age...

Pros: Good power, responsive gearbox, excellent safety features.
Cons: Interior leaves a lot to be desired, pricy
The Bottom Line: ------------------------------------------------------------ The Bottom Line is inside! ------------------------------------------------------------

Today I took a BMW for a test drive. This is my first time driving a BMW, and while I was very impressed, several things about the car were very disappointing. The model I test drove(the 330XI) had all-wheel-drive,a manual transmission, heated leather ...

BMW 330: Could of been a tad better.

by specialk4980

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: You have rights to say you own a BMW.
Cons: No question about it: Better cars for less!
The Bottom Line: Save the extra few, buy a cheaper car that is just as fast and nice.

Since the start of the Bavarian Motor Works, I have always believed they have made great cars. They have nice leather interior these days, with an exterior sporty look and the feel of some power behind you when handling the car.
The BMW 330...

Looks better than it drives

Jun 24 '02 - Updated Jul 01 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Beautiful lines, clean, uncluttered interior, near perfect weight distribution, rear-wheel drive
Cons: Awful throttle response, underpowered when compared to competition, uncomfortable seats
The Bottom Line: Overall I've found this car to be rather under whelming and I'm sorry I bought it.

I took delivery of my 2001 325Ci about a year and a half ago. Steel gray with leather, sunroof, xenon headlights, and a CD player. I absolutely fell in love with the styling and I also liked the fact that this is one of the few coupes available with...

Nice car there! It cost what!!!???

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: BMW prestige, great handling, braking, smooth ride, safety, nice interior
Cons: BMW image, high price, reliability concerns, dealer service waits, small
The Bottom Line: If you value handling over luxury, value, amenities, and spaciousness, the BMW 325i is hard to beat. If you want an affordable sporty and cush cruiser, keep looking.

The new 325i finally gets the engine size matched up with the nomenclature, and adds a few more hp in the process, but its not the car for everyone, and specifically, not for me. The BMW 3 series is probably the best driving car in its class, its safe...

Liked it, bought the Mercedes c240

by sutker
Jun 10 '01

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Power and handling
Cons: Pricey, small backseat
The Bottom Line: We bought the Mercedes c240. BMW is faster and handles more like a sports car. Fun to Drive!

We were in the market for a car for my wife. We looked at most entry-level luxury cars (BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Volvo, Audi, Cadillac) and narrowed the list to the BMW 330 or the Mercedes 240. I preferred the BMW and my wife preferred the Mercedes. We...

I OWN THIS CAR...Good Info

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Nice Car, Lots of Safety
Cons: Pricey, lacks Features
The Bottom Line: If you can afford it, its a great safe car. If you like goodies and options you may want a benz

I bought a BMW 330 in Feb, right here at Beverly Hills BMW. I have to say that the 330 is a vast improvement over the older 325 and other 3 series. The interior is roomier, and the exterior design is a bit more sporty.

The dash is a little...

One word--Amazing

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Handling, Reliability, Driver Comfort
Cons: Interior Space
The Bottom Line: Buy it, and if you are wondering whether it's worth it to buy a 2ndhand one, trust me, it is.

I purchased my 2001 325iA only a few months ago from an private party individual. The price paid reflects a car that had 21,000 miles on it. Part of the difficulty in purchasing the car was that it was impossible for me to find a dealer that would...

Almost perfect

Apr 11 '01 - Updated Apr 17 '01

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Semi-affordable luxury, nice factory wheels, exceptional quality and most of all, it's a BMW.
Cons: The 184 hp 2.5 six is underpowered and could use more room.
The Bottom Line: This car is pure luxury. Its performance is good but if that is more important to you, consider the Acura Type S.

First of all, I am not going to write about stats and numbers about the BMW 325, those can be found at edmunds.com, car magazines, etc.
1. The base price is at around $29 US, but most that are available are loaded and price will carry from the...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: This car is very sporty and fun to drive.
Cons: Back seats could have a bit more room.
The Bottom Line: I would definately look into this car. It is well worth the money.

This is a great car. It is sporty, the stereo is loud and the handling is great. Could use a little bit more room in the back but what are kids for???? I drive this car daily and it is a well oiled machine. Regular maintenence will keep this car to...
