Pros: Roomy, stylish, rides smooth. Cons: Leans heavy in turns, loose steering, spongy braking. The Bottom Line: I would somewhat recommend the GMC Yukon as a roomy truck with good power and comfortable ride. For the money, the Ford Expedition is a better value.
I was recently given a 2001 GMC Yukon XLT to utilize as a work vehicle. This vehicle is much larger than the Ford Explorer that I was driving. It is most similar in size and operation to the two Fo

Pros: Nice overall design. Power with the 5.3 vs. other trucks of that year Cons: Customer service, dealers, and a few MAJOR issues that cost thousands after warranty The Bottom Line: Look for these common problems BEFORE buying this truck used. Expect GM to be no help if there is a problem.
I own a 2001 Yukon SLT (5.3 upgrade) that I purchased new. I thought I would take this chance to tell you what my experiences have been with this vehicle in the past 5 years. Before this purchase I have only owned GM products (5 total). Overall, the ... read more

Pros: Sleek Design, Comfortable Seats, Spacious Cargo Area, Powerful Towing and Torque Cons: Bad Gas Mileage The Bottom Line: If you want the comfort, and handling of a car while having the space and power of a truck, this is the best car for you!
I simply can’t say enough about the 2001 GMC Yukon. I owned a 1999 GMC Yukon, and the differences between the two are enormous. To the 2001 Yukon’s credit, as good of a car as the 1999 Yukon was, the 2001 is about a hundred times better. GMC did a ... read more

Pros: Large, but not too large, Powerful, Rugged, Solid, Great Ride, Reliable. Cons: NONE The Bottom Line: If you want to carry nine people in comfort, but want the capabilities of a truck without going the extreme, with a smooth agile ride, go with the Yukon XL.
The Yukon XL is more than just a cabin bolted to a pickup chassis. From the A-pillar back, the SUV uses box-section frame rails with full length hydro-formed frame. This gives the Yukon XL the most rigid SUV chassis you can buy. The Yukon XL also shares ... read more

Pros: Sleek, refined body style; Comfortable, roomy, luxury interior; Built-in Armrests Cons: No heated seats in SLT; Loud Engine; Exterior noise The Bottom Line: This is a great vehicle. The comfort is unbeatable. The style is elegant. The squeaks and rattles can be fixed. In the meantime, turn up the standard subwoofer.
I did through research before purchasing this vehicle. The price was really good. Compared to the Navigator, the price was darn good. Although this is a new vehicle, I have had some trouble with a really annoying squeak and rattle that comes from the ... read more

Pros: Extremely comfortable, easy handling, loads of room Cons: The huge gas tank means huge gas bills... The Bottom Line: Stylish, smooth, comfortable ride and handling, RELIABLE, a bit expensive but worth it for the security of knowing you and your family are safe. Plan to keep this nine years.
