Pros: Utilizes the best of Hondas suspension technology. Cons: Not a hard core off roader. The Bottom Line: The best small SUV suspension on the market is under the CR-V
LOOK BACK TO SEE THE FUTURE:
If you are at all familiar with my automotive suspension reviews, you well know of my affinity for the Honda line of automobiles. They are some of the most reliable vehicles on the planet, and the...

Pros: Nice car that drives well. Cons: A few, but they are minor. The Bottom Line: I've had the car for six and a half years now and plan to keep it for at least that many more.
When the time came for me to buy a new car, I looked around at many of the small SUV's on the market. I finally settled on the Honda CR-V. The 2001's were just coming out when I bought mine in November of 2000. I've now got 85,000 miles on it and am ...

Pros: Reliability, room, four-wheel-drive at a reasonable cost Cons: Horrible performance! The Bottom Line: It's reliable as anything and a very useful little SUV, but lousy to drive every day. Go for the much-improved 2002 model.
The CR-V is a fabulous, useful little SUV if you never need to go more than 20 mph. Performance: The 2001 CR-V is dreadful in this area. Absolutely, positively dreadful. The car's acceleration is unresponsive almost to the point of being dangerous. ...

Pros: Options, smooth ride, size Cons: "tinted" windows are more aesthetic than functional The Bottom Line: For a family that has outgrown a car, this is a great vehicle choice.
I write this review speaking as a 4'11" female mother of one. My child rides backseat, center, in a car seat. What does this mean? What I can tell you in this review is that the vehicle suits the needs of an entire family (like mine)perfectly, and...

Pros: Long Features list, Room, Car-like ride Cons: Lack of REAL power The Bottom Line: It came down to these 4 factors.
1) Included Features (pwr, cruise, AC, etc...)
2) Reliability
3) Great Price
4) Space a-plenty
The CR-V, although dated in body style, has much to offer in amenities, room, and ride quality. Those looking for a "true" off-road vehicle should look elsewhere; however, when your needs demand cargo and passenger room - You have found a true ...

Pros: Very nice ride. Comfortable. Not too big. 4WD is helpful. Cons: Needs a V6 option. needs a sunroof. Passenger side armrest should be standard. The Bottom Line: Great Car.
The 2001 Honda CRV is my current vehicle. I remember test driving a stick shift version of the 2001 CRV a few months before i purchased my current one. I hated it. Had it not been for a rude salesman I would now likely be driving a Ford Escape. ...

Pros: reliability, easy to drive, plenty of room, Cons: need to update body style already ! The Bottom Line: Wonderful vehicle for around town driving with the security of 4 wheel drive in dangerous conditions. Dependable, fun to drive, and a HONDA
I am not an automotive expert, but I am an expert at doing my homework before making a purchase . I took a long hard look at what was out there, and am thrilled with the results of my efforts: my nifty , new, 2001 Honda CR-V.
I will not...

Pros: This car epitomizes versatility and fun. SUV size, small car handling. Cons: Not for drag racing. Hard shifting in low gears. Unattractive standard wheels. The Bottom Line: If you want a Suburban this isn't the car for you; but if you want a more comfortable car that drives better and will last longer, this is the car.
Having come from just owning a Ford Ranger truck, a two-door coupe and a 4-door sedan, my first foray into the SUV market was carefully planned. I will admit that when I started my search, I was alreadly heavily leaning towards the Isuzu...

Pros: Rides high like a truck, drives like a car; good value; minivan-like interior Cons: Engine is noisy during acceleration; exterior design getting dated The Bottom Line: A well-tested design, now in its final model year, the CR-V is still a leader in the mini-SUV market.
In my quest for a new car, I initially dismissed the CR-V as being too small. Nevertheless, while visiting my local Nissan dealer to examine the Xterra and Pathfinder, I stopped by the adjoining Honda dealership to try the CR-V.
The...

Pros: Great gas mileage for an SUV, Honda reliability, easy to make u-turns Cons: Honda service, bus-like driving position, no passenger arm rest, cup holders don't hold The Bottom Line: Great car for commuting and around town. Gets 25mpg. Is just peppy enough and highly manueverable.
My wife was shopping for her first new car. She wanted the high seating position of an SUV but wanted something very simple to handle. I insisted that she get ABS brakes because I feel that they are worth it here in New England.
We considered...

Pros: Large interior, car-like ride Cons: Body gets chewed up bad by winter roads. The Bottom Line: Not a true SUV, and to be avoided for those who are looking for one.
My wife and I bought a 2001 Honda CR-V LX in November of 2001, trading in our 2000 Civic EX. We figured that this would be a fantastic vehicle for us since we're both avid skiers/snowboarders, and also do plenty of camping and hiking. Boy, were we...

Pros: Great little mover on the open road Cons: Its not well known and a little expensive The Bottom Line: Truly a great offroader.
I would not think of Honda when it comes to 4 X 4 jeep type off roaders.
Landrover,Suzuki and Chrysler Jeep yes!
it now seems every motor manufacturer wants to jump on the offroad bandwagon and build a 4 x 4.
But the Honda CRV is a nice...

Pros: Fun to drive, spacious. Cons: Can't go too fast - but maybe that's a good thing. The Bottom Line: Good car for decent drivers. Very comfortable.
The Honda Crv is not really a full fledged SUV. It's more like a raised city car. It's great though because It's comfortable, spacious, and remarkably easy to drive.
You can seat 4 adults in the back and not feel too uncomfortable for drives...
