Pros: Reliable, lots of space, comfortable, easy-to-handle. Cons: No keyless entry. The cig lighter is in impossible location for GPS, etc. The Bottom Line: So reliable! Great for hauling & long hauls & families! Comfortable! Incredibly good MPG for size!!!
It's amazing how much space is available inside. Takes bulky boxes & large items easily. We can fit in big dog crates, appliances, etc etc.I like the auto side doors. We had a minor problem with a side door when we ... read more

Pros: Acceleration, Handling, Ride and Road Feel Cons: Interior, Build Quality, Reliablity The Bottom Line: I don't recomend the Honda. If you want a good van, spend a little less and buy the Chrsyler variant and even with repairs, you'll come out ahead
What do you think of when you think of a Honda? A nice, well equipped, long lasting, cheap to mantian vehicle? Well this is not that kind of Honda. This is one that will require more mantince, repairs and attention, and it would make Joan Rivers ... read more

Pros: It's a honda, need I say more Cons: sliding doors. The Bottom Line: I'd buy a honda again, for sure. Trunk space is ENORMOUS, car is reliable.
I bought this car new in February 2001 in anticipation of the arrival of our 3rd child. We just passed the 100K mile mark last month, and this car has been great. Our transmission went out at 79K miles, surprising for a Honda. But, in true Honda form, ... read more

Pros: Fast pickup, good brakes, comfy, well equipped. Cons: Pickup isn't great in motion, stereo could be better. The Bottom Line: Probably the BEST family automobile. Safe, great visibility (not so much in rear however).
Looking for a pro-family car that is comfortable, advanced, and reliable? No need to search more my friend, you've found it. It's the 2001 Honda Odyssey. EXTERIOR: Let's start on the exterior, drivetrain is spectactular, a very smooth ride. One ... read more

Pros: What pros? It makes ya yern for a Yota Cons: The entire van-manufacturer and all The Bottom Line: I don't recommend the Odyssey, unless you must have a Square H on the hood and tailgate of you vehicle. BUy a Toyota or anythingelse. But not this.
Sorry about the length, i needed to vent. We drive over 160K miles a year between 4 drivers, so we have a mini family fleet (8 cars). So amongst all the cars we own, we used to have a 2001 Odyssey van. Ex model, silver in color. WE bought ... read more

Pros: Storage space, roominess, dependability, safety, gas mileage, low to no maintenance, handling, most everything! Cons: Power sliding doors are a bit slow, rear hatch door is heavy to slam shut. The Bottom Line: Happy I bought it, would do it again, would recommend a used one to anyone, providing it has been treated well. This van has served our growing family well.

Pros: Rear seat, safety, reliability Cons: Poor instrument display, no external thermometer, no compass, no leather, no gas cap lanyard, noisy The Bottom Line: I recommend the 2001 Odyssey. The flop down third seat offsets the negatives I have about the 2001 Odyssey.
I like the 2001 Odyssey, and would probably get one again. I had to add custom leather. The interior is extremely noisy, but dealerships in OH and FL tell me that this is normal. The black/white LCD is difficult for me to read under various lighting ... read more

I still prefer the Toyota.
When I was looking for a new van in 2001, I got my chance to drive an Odyessy rather unexpectedly. Most dealers had a long waiting list for the van and there just weren't many on the lots to test drive.

Pros: 3rd Row Seat, Honda Reputation, Trade-in Value Cons: Center "console", power doors that don't stop for obstructions, stereo, road noise, Honda Dealers The Bottom Line: There are other options. It seems Honda didn't design the Odyssey for real people. If Honda could fix some of these annoying problems, it would be an awesome Mini-Van.

Pros: more room, more options, better safety, ergonomically designed Cons: sheet metal is 'soft' easy to dent, cost prohibitive The Bottom Line: Designed for a mother on the go. The middle seats are ideal for carseats and teathering with the LATCH system is flawless. The dual accessory power equals happy electronic teenagers.

Pros: Third row bench seat that folds down into the floor, and powerful engine. Cons: Radio and speakers could be better. The Bottom Line: The Odyssey is highly recommended. It is pricey but virtually trouble free. The first tune-up is at 105,000 miles! The fold down third seat makes it worth the price.
The Odyssey drives like a car and has great visibility. The ride is quiet and the car handles very well in the rain, snow, and traffic. The interior is very spacious and adults can easily get in and out of the car. There is an abundance of headroom for ... read more

Pros: The fair haired van, fast, reliability. Cons: Expensive, a bit of a gas guzzler (for a honda). The Bottom Line: Need a van for utility without sacrificing your car 'curb appeal'? Buy the Odyssey.
It's been almost a year since we got the Oddy. They always say the first year is the best one, and it has been. With nothing more than oil changes and scheduled tune ups at the dealer, this van has been impecable. Almost 18,000 miles on it and it's ... read more

Yes, I will add my voice to those who couldn't believe they got a minivan, but now I love the room I have! I also like that I can get the boys out of their car seats and get ready to go while I'm still in the van - in case of rain, etc. We tried out ... read more
