Pros: Gas mileage, insurance, non-leaking top - great performance Cons: to many blind spots, cramped back seating The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car to anyone who wanted something fast and affordable.
I got my 'Bird on September 2, 2004. It was sitting in a dealership lot for about a month before I finally decided to take a look at it. I've always wanted a Firebird or Trans Am - I've been hooked ever since I saw Knight Rider when I was 10, but thats ... read more

Pros: Styling, heritage, gob and gobs of power, seat of the pants feeling, fun factor Cons: Cheap plastic interior, squeaky bushings, hump in front passenger side, flip up lights The Bottom Line: If you like aggressive looks, throw your head back in the headrest, seat of the pants acceleration, with somewhat exclusivity, then this is the ride for you.
I've owned this car for about 4 months now and after driving it almost 5k miles I still don't get tired of downshifting into 2nd or 3rd and just flooring it. This thing is like a missile that if your not paying attention can easily get away from you ... read more

Pros: Looks good(to most), drives well, summer fun Cons: Leaky roof, interior The Bottom Line: If your looking for an affordable midsize convertible, this would make a great car for you
This car has overall been a great experience. This car was intended to be a fun car for getting from point A to B. I looked at alot of cars such as the celica, eclipse, camaro, grand-prix, mustang and chose the firebird mostly for its looks and the fact ... read more

Pros: Interior, style. Cons: Great sound, relatively quiet as convertible. The Bottom Line: With a car looking like this it definitely needs more oomph. I just can't get over the looks of the stereo.
Today I went for a drive in what I expected to be a real beast of a car, the WS6 TransAM convertible.
It sure looked like a fast US car as it sat there in its orange paint under the so.cal sun.
I got the keys from the sales person and fired it ... read more

Pros: Speed, acceleration, handling, styling, performance Cons: Interior design is sub-par even for GM The Bottom Line: As long as you buy this car for the right reasons, you won't be disappointed.
Well I'm writing this review because I had a heck of time finding an objective review of the car before I bought one. All the reviews I found either did little more than recite the specs from the sticker, or were obviously written by someone who was ... read more

Pros: Very sleek, very fast. Cons: Hard to keep up with. Very expensive parts. The Bottom Line: It's a great way to get around. Go get it
I have a Firebird and it is a very dependable, fast, and great looking car. It delivers a high amount of horsepower and it's V-6 engine keeps you up to speed with traffic. A definite pick for a person who could afford it. For a parent, I wouldn't buy ... read more

Pros: This is the car that Pontiac wrote the slogan "Pontiac is Driving excitement!" Cons: Touchy panic button on remote entry system. The Bottom Line: The Pontiac Trans Am is TRULY driving excitement.
I have owned my 2001 RAM Air Trans Am since November of 2000. I'm not a salesman, but I have to say, if I were going to sell a car, this is truly the one I would recommend. This car is a serious vehicle for a serious driver. I wouldn't recommend this ... read more

Pros: Fast, Aggressive Cons: no Corvette The Bottom Line: If you can't afford the Vette, this is a great choice
The Firebird Trans AM is a good car. I own a 95. I bought it a couple months ago and have been very happy with it. It has the LT1 engine out of the Corvette and pulls about 275 Horse Power. It's plenty fast and looks even faster. The interior is ... read more

Pros: Beastly! Fast! Exhileration! Cons: Cramped interior, poor visibility, skip shift The Bottom Line: My final recommendation is get it while you can. It's the best value for the money if you are a sports car fan.
This is not a car for the meek, I can say that! I recently purchased a 2001 Firebird Trans Am and these are my initial observations.
First of all, this car is fast, perhaps too fast. The very powerful 5.7L V8 engine with 310hp is as much as ... read more

Pros: AMAZING STYLING,Great power,
When driving down the street jaws drop.
Cons: Some people don't understand the style. The Bottom Line: I think this is in every way the best car ever. Yes ,it may have a smaller sized back seat but guess what, most sport cars don't have one.
The most amazing car I know has either been the 2001 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am w/Ram Air or the 2001 Chevrolet Corvette. They both have great styling, power and fun although the Firebird comes out the victor in room, and amazing styling. Yes they both ... read more

Pros: Fast, Looks good. Cons: Gas, insurance, quality? The Bottom Line: If you want speed, buy a cheaper car, throw in a turbocharger and some nitros.
If you have money to waste, buy a more upscale car.
Nothing ever changes on the Firebird/Camero series. These cars are affordable but certainly aren't a good value compared to almost any other car on the road today. A Honda Civic costs half as much, takes half as much fuel, and the insurance is less than ... read more

Pros: Fast, Fast, Fast, and Great V-8 Cons: Price, Style, Cramped Interior The Bottom Line: Fun to drive, but hard to look at. The WS6 is a seriously fast car with little practical use for everyday driving. The pushrod V-8 still lives !
This is the car your mother warned you about. Sure it’s based on old design, and it’s ugly, but is also very fast.
Styling is subjective, sort of like favorite colors. Some people love pink, others hate it. The Firebird T/A WS6 is so ugly and ... read more

Pros: Fun to drive, good looking, and affordable. Cons: The fiberglass body tends to scratch easily.
I have had my 2001 Pontiac firebird for almost two years now and I like it. I just wish it was a V8. It has great pick-up and it a blast to drive. It is, however, electronically locked at 120 MPH. For a sports car, it gets good gas mileage at about 19-21
