Pros: Comfortable seats, versatile interior, good looks, LOTS of power, great on gas. Cons: Quirky switches for lights and wipers take some getting used to. The Bottom Line: If you want a comfortable, reliable, powerful car that is versatile and good on gas, this is a great car, especially if you like something that everybody else isn't driving.
I have driven my 9-3 for over 55,000 miles in the 18 months I've owned it and the car still amazes me.
COMFORT - I'm 6'5" with a muscular build and still have 3" above my head with the sunroof closed - something I couldn't find in any other...

Pros: Handling, interior, Fun to Drive Cons: No driver's side armrest, rear seat room The Bottom Line: A fun ride that is certainly competitive with other cars in its class. At the very least, take it for a test drive and see what you think.
I recently leased a 2001 Saab 9-3 SE 4 door sedan (By way of background, Saab has two model lines, the 9-3 and the 9-5. The 9-3 is available in the S series as well as the SE series, with the SE being the more luxurious of the two (though when I...

Pros: Great convertible, great snow car, fun to drive, safe, good mileage. Cons: In a nutshell, not a BMW. Cowl shake. The Bottom Line: Great car for me, but not for everyone. And that's part of the appeal.
A lot of what I would say has already been said, but I know that in trying to justify purchases of my own, I like to read what others have to say - almost thirsting for someone else's opinion to justify my opinion or scare me away. This is perhaps ...

Pros: Styling, quality, driving experience, high tech goodies Cons: None so far! The Bottom Line: Styling, quality, driving experience, high tech goodies. Dealer experience and continues to be exceptional.
I found myself cruising VW dealers for a replacement vehicle after my Golf ticked over 250,000km. The A/C was shot and summer was approaching, and I could feel the clutch beginning to slip, and the exhaust was making a racket...and a bunch of other...

Pros: Cool Power Top, Fast, Beautifully Styled Cons: Price, Value, Cowl Shake, Torque Steer The Bottom Line: This would be a great car for about $28,000. Its few shortcomings are magnified by the high price. It's no BMW.
A friend once said, as he was trying to repair an old skateboard, “the only thing worse than not having a screwdriver is having something that is almost like a screwdriver.” Stupid at first, but with a little thought I began to realize the depth of this...

Pros: Thanks to Daddy GM, insane dealer incentives knock $7k off MSRP. Cons: It's a Saab, that means 4-banger, torque-steer, and that weird ignition in the floor. The Bottom Line: Use your brain and not your loins and at least test drive one of these things. You could be amazed.
OK, a solid year looking to buy a reasonably priced, near luxury sports sedan/wagon. EVERYTHING test driven, some good even great handling cars. But nothing that said gotta have it, especially pushing a sticker of $40K in some cases.

Pros: Gas mileage (I average about 24.9 miles--inner city, and about 28.7 on the highway) Cons: There is some torque steer.
Would like more center console space.
The Bottom Line: A great car, but if you don't want to spend over 45K for a new model, consider certified pre-owned (low miles, original and extended warranty for a great price!)
Coming from a family where my parents owned Triumphs, VW Karmen ghias, volvos, peugeots, and saabs (cars that are kinda out of the ordinary)...I felt right at home purchasing my 02 Saab 9-3 convertible. I always thought of myself as Benz person, but ...

Do yourself a favour and by a Saab!
I have always liked to drive a Saab and believe me I have tried numerous of cars but always returned back to this Scandinavian brand.
I have to say I haven't had the chance to try it when it's summer but my main goal was indeed to get a good winter...

Pros: Looks great, luxurious interior, neat gizmos Cons: Cowl shake, eats fuel The Bottom Line: This car is not for everyone, but makes a great choice for an everyday" ride with a converitble top.
I was lucky enough to recieve a hefty chunk of change as a signing bonus from my new job, and decided to treat myself to something I've always wanted- a convertible. I didn't want just any car with the top lopped off, however; I wanted something that...

Pros: Pros: Nice and fast hatchback, excellent handling and acceleration Cons: Cons: Spent almost 30K and expected to get more options in return The Bottom Line: Overall, Saab 9.3 is fun to drive but it'd be nice to have some extras in the small car with $30k sticker price.
Saab's radio ads about 'people who test drive a Saab and usually buy one' appeared to be 100% true for us. We were on the market for a new compact to medium size car considering Acura, Honda, Nissan and VW. We never considered SAAB before but one day...

Pros: stylish, a kick to drive! Cons: telescoping antenna breaks in car wash - oops! The Bottom Line: Great car, good price, fun to drive!
We bought this car for my husband to commute in, but it's become my favorite car to drive. It handles well on winding mountain roads and city streets. The sport mode makes lane changes in San Francisco a breeze.
The trunk is ENORMOUS. I fit...

I have owned my Laser Red SAAB 9-3 SE now for one year and 15,000. This car is as solid and fun to drive as the day I bought it. I was in the market for a new car and test drove everything under the sun. No other car gave as much performance an...

Worst in its class

Pros: None, truely there are none at all. Cons: Cannot get out of it's own way. Slow.
It is the worst of everything in it's class. Quite a piece of trash, don't waste your money. The car burns gas at an incredible rate, has nil reliability, a small engine, terrible suspension, is FRONT WHEEL DRIVE, and has no room despite its extremely hefty weight.
The Audi A4 and BMW 3 series are in this car's class and come in AWD and RWD versions with larger engines, nicer materials, much better fit and finish, don't look terribly ugly, and are relatively reliable. Especially in comparison to a piece of Saab.

After Sales Dealer Service Disappointment

Pros: Excellent driving machine. Cons: After sales negative rhetoric from Dealer's Chief Mechanic.
Ever since I bought this great performance car, I hear rattling noise both in the trunk and the steering wheel. Moreover, the Driver's safety belt is extremely tight and sometimes, it leaves me with no choice but to remove it while driving.
The Dealer in Beirut, Lebanon who services my car told me that they have test-drove it repeatedly and that there is NOTHING wrong with my car! ! !
Today, it is still under warrantee and 3 weeks ago, the Dealer Chief Mechanic told me and I quote "Customer satisfaction is very important to us. However, if we replace the seat belt and sends it to the Manufacturer and they find out that there is nothing wrong with it, then we would have to pay for replacing it" ! ! ! Do you call that "Customer Satisfaction"????

Fun car to drive!

Pros: Engine performance, airplane like dashboard, handling, gas mileage Cons: Cup holder and seat adjustments
This has to be one of the neatest cars to drive. This is my first Saab and am so impressed that I will buy another Saab for my next car. Its great on gas, quick, dependable, and very different. Im amazed that this car has a 4cyl because it feels like driving an 8cyl with the power it has to spare. The interior is nifty and makes you feel like your behind the controls of an airplane. The radio even has a weather band which tunes into the National Weather Service. I have 47k miles on mine and have no doubt it will last me another 200k. The SID display is a nice feature since it will alert you on just about anything thats wrong with the car. I had a headlight go bad and was alerted right away by the computer.
