Pros: Dent proof body, unique third door, advanced options, just to name a few. Cons: A little less comfortable than some of its competitors. The Bottom Line: For the $15-20,000 line of Coupes, Saturn should be your first choice. This car definitely gives you the most bang for your buck!
There are many different S series Saturns. I am writing about the highest end model, the SC-2. The ‘C’ denotes it as being a Coupe, and the ‘2’ primarily denotes it as having the larger engine. The expression used to be ‘2 door Coupe’, but Saturn has...

Pros: Great sporty look. Chick and dude magnet, safe, economical, terrific customer service Cons: Not real comfy for very tall or broad people, slight noise factor The Bottom Line: Fantastic car for the money. You get the Saturn name, reliability, no haggle policy, honesty. A few little problems as in any vehicle, so please check out review.
I am the proud owner of a Saturn SC 2 now, the 1999 two door version (no, not virgin). My car has all the accoutrements, bells and whistles. You can read about my current vehicle if you wish. I happened to catch a spunky, sporty, classy little...

Pros: Safety, fuel economy, and all the standard equippment. Cons: None, as close to perfect as you can get.
When my husband introduced me to the Saturn it was the 1999 SL2. We have driven this car all over the United States; it performs like a dream and hasn’t ever given us many problems. I had to check out the 2001 SL2 Saturn!

Pros: Solid engine, no haggle. Cons: Not the cheapest in it’s class, cheap interior, multiple problems within 1 year. The Bottom Line: An average car from an average car company. Too many problems for me to recommend this car.
My wifes family has bought 4 Saturn vehicles in the past 6 years. Over that time they have been really happy with them and didnt experience any problems (until recently, see comment on bottom). They seemed to run well and have no accessory ...

Pros: Security System anti-theft, dent/crash resistant body, safety features, comfort, design, price, colors Cons: none, yet The Bottom Line: The 2001 Saturn SC1 is comfortable, with lots of convenience and safety features and an affordable price tag. Safety/security features mean insurance savings, too!
I've lived with my 2001 Saturn SC1 for a little over three months, now. What do I think about it? you ask. So far, it's great! Ahem, as much as I hate to admit it, I'm glad I bought it this year. It has made driving a pleasure,...

Pros: handles well in all weather, good gas mileage Cons: doesn't like hills, cup holders are inadequate
You might recall (or not) that, many epinions ago, I wrote a review of buying my Saturn. I've now owned said Saturn for almost 3 months, and you all get to hear my opinion as owner (as opposed to opinion as shopper).
First things first,...

Pros: Great gas mileage, sporty design, handy 3rd door, security system, and the Saturn Experience... Cons: Some early problems under warrantee, length of warrantee The Bottom Line: The restyled 2001 SC2 will turn heads while saving you money on gas.
My first experience with Saturn was back in 1995 when I was looking for a new car after graduating from college and starting a new job. I settled on a green 1996 SL2 with most of the proverbial bells and whistles. As a testament to Saturn, I still own...

Pros: unique Sporty Styling and Color,Polymer body panels, 3rd door price, good acceleration Cons: price (good and bad), auto transmission can be jerky, interior quality, brake quality The Bottom Line: Sporty and unique the SC2 offers a somewhat bad value new but used offers a buyer and excellent price and a great car for around 13-14K.
Personal Experience
I am a very big Saturn fan. But I have to be honest about my experienced with my SC2. I love the car, but my particular car was plagued with problems...and made me end up trading it in after a year of ownership. This was a...

Pros: Looks great, handles well, quiet & good price Cons: Blind spot on driver's side, "buttons" feel awkward
I recently "upgraded" my Saturn SC2 from a 1997 "no bells-and-whistles" to a 2001 "fully-loaded" model. I was quite excited about getting a new Saturn, as I loved my old one. I made the change because I wanted all the...

Pros: Comfortable, mileage, sleek look, reliable, safe Cons: Traction, cabin noise, small problems early on The Bottom Line: Saturn has the advantage of observing what other older car companies did wrong and avoiding those problems in its own manufacturing of cars.
The contents of this review are based on my experiences with my own Saturn SL1 and my friend's Saturn SL2. So anything I mention here does not necessarily apply to other cars in the S-series, as I have not had experience with those.
There are...

Pros: GREAT CAR, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRICE Cons: just a little interior noise The Bottom Line: I recommend the Saturn because it is extremely reliable and historically trouble-free, safe, sporty and fun to drive.
I knew what I was getting into when I traded my '93 SL1 for a 2001 SL2. I feel that Saturns are the one of the best made cars manufuctured today.
To begin with, my SL1 has never had a problem. I bought it used from its first owner and it...

Pros: nice look, drives well, no hassle negotiations (unless trade-in) Cons: back seat a bit cramped The Bottom Line: Buy it because it is a great car. The quality of the service department varies with location - check them out before you agree to any service contract.
I waited until 2 months passed before writing this review to make sure that I am properly evaluating my new car and I'm not overwhelmed by the newness of it and the sales pitch. I bought my new Saturn 2001 SC2 (3-door sports coupe) on July 31, 2000 and...

Pros: Split rear seat offers more cargo room; fuel economy; maneuverability; comfort in front; great bargains Cons: Leg and head room a little tight in back; acceleration up hills and from standstills The Bottom Line: The Saturn SL1 offers great gas mileage, maneuverability, comfort, and affordability for the everyday consumer.
The sun smiled down on me as I drove my brand new 2001 Saturn SL1 out of the showroom. I watched as the clouds parted and the birds chirped overhead. It was a good day. Ok, so I am being a little overdramatic, but I just got my first "new" car, and so...

Pros: Nice size, controls, look, handling, price. Cons: You get a "small car ride"- not very smooth. The Bottom Line: This is simply a nice car with nice features.
After bad experiences with with a Hyundai Tiburon, and an Elantra before that, we decided to shop around and do a little research before buying a new car. My husband wanted a compact car for ease in driving and parking. I wanted a midsized car for...

Pros: Great Pickup. Great Mileage. Cons: Little back seat room.
My mother bought a brand new Saturn 3 Door Coupe last year, and I really like the car, I often rather drive hers than my Grand AM. The car has great pick up, mileage, and the quietest ride I've ever had, but I am 6'1" and I hate to sit in the back...
