Pros: styling, peppy acceleration Cons: poor paint job, no trunk space, poor back seats, high auto insurance The Bottom Line: I would buy one if you really want a sports car. Buying a car with more room means value in the long run.
This is a vehicle that commands attention. It doesn't get it because it's a Toyota. I have owned this vehicle for three years now and have decided it's time to sell it. My praises for this car 1) The styling is on of the most eye catching on ...

Pros: Handles well, good performance and gas mileage Cons: Rear lights could been designed better The Bottom Line: Good sports car for the price
My friend Tommy bought his 2001 Toyota Celica last month. We trust each other when it comes to cars. He let me take it for a spin for an afternoon. I revved the engine up to seven thousand RPM and slid my foot off the clutch (from a dead stop). After...

Pros: Handling, fuel economy, high end acceleration, ergonomics, looks great, interior design Cons: Back seat for storage only, rear vision, low end torque The Bottom Line: Depends on what you need in a car, but if you want reliable, fun, great looking transportation, it's hard to beat!
I purchased my Celica at New Years 2002. It's a great driver's car for a single person like myself. It's fun to drive while still getting great fuel economy (about 26mpg city, 38mpg highway). The pros and cons list my ideas pretty well. The cons are...

Pros: Great looking sports car, Built by Toyota, and is fairly inexpensive Cons: A bit small inside for anybody over 6 feet tall especially in the back seats The Bottom Line: Great little sports car if you are able to feel comfortable in the fairly small interior.
I work for Hertz Rent-A-Car and am able to drive home any car I wish every night. The Toyota Celica GT is a great little sports car that I take quite often. I am 6'3" and the car is a bit tight for me, but I still fit okay. Everybody else at work that is...

I bought my 2001 Celica GT in March, 2008 with 75,000 miles on it. I downgraded from the Camaros and Corvettes of my youth with something more economical yet still sportscaresque. This is one of the best cars I've ever owned. My Celica now has ...

Pros: Dang! this car is light and fast and super good with turns. Cons: Too bad its really small in the back. The Bottom Line: Celicas speed and power is underestimated.A great car if you are into racing and dont want another played out civic or integra. All in all this is a TITE car!
I got my car for 160$ a month. It runs really good no problems with the motor or anything. However, when it rains or when there is a big dip or an uneven road, the car can't handle it the steering wheel is hard to control. The gear box is really small...

Pros: Fuel economy, interior appointments, legendary Toyota reliability, appearance Cons: Vision to the rear The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an economical, affordable car that looks great, drives great and will be reliable to a fault, the Celica should probably be your choice.
I recently purchased my 2001 Celica and am extremely happy with my choice. The car's performance certainly exceeds my expectations overall. It handles very well and what's not to like about 35 mpg on the highway? I took a 400 mile round trip shortly...

Pros: Eye catching styling with quick and responsive handling in an affordable package Cons: Power is a little light for this class of car. Somewhat noisy at higher speeds The Bottom Line: A sharp car which will draw attention anywhere you go. Sporty, well-built and comfortable. However, competitors' are offering cars which closely match/beat the features at this price point.
I bought the Toyota Celica in May 2001. At the time, I managed to get an amazing 3.7% financing rate and $1400 cdn off the invoice price of the car. What attracted me to this model is the same thing that has me smiling when I drive it today - cutting ...

Pros: Style, price, handling, breaking. Cons: Rear viewing. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for an economical, fun-to-drive, reliable, competitively-priced sporty vehicle, you need to take a serious look at the Toyota Celica.
For years (decades, actually), I have wanted a sports car. While I was helping to raise a family, that was out of the question. Now that we are "empty nesters," it became a possibility again. I read a lot of articles and test drove a number of cars...

Pros: reliability, nimble handling, awesome styling, fuel economy Cons: non-existent low end torque, not good for stick shift newbies, not much power, blind zones The Bottom Line: If you can accustom yourself to the clutch and don't mind the lack of sports car power, I strongly recommend it. It's fun to drive, and good on gas.
I recently had an opportunity to test drive a 2001 Toyota Celica GT, and it was a mixed experience overall. Like the Mitsubishi Eclipse, you have the fighter plane cockpit feeling when sitting behind the wheel of the Celica. This is a pro as far as ...
