Pros: Excellent power and comfort, mileage for such a large vehicle is not bad 16.6 mpg. Cons: Anti-Rollover technology results in brake dust on the front tires, frequent pads replaced. The Bottom Line: Worry about the transmission.
A story for every Toyota Sequoia owner to read. I leased a 2001 Toyota Sequoia and paid for an extended warranty 6 years or 100,000 miles. At 93,000 miles I took the vehicle to a local dealership service center for a complete inspection. I ... read more

After my wife owning a 1990 Toyota with 195,000 great miles, we went looking for a new, larger SUV. We looked at the Toyota Sequoia, GMCs, Chevys and Cadis. We test drove all and measured most ( as I am kind of a geek ) We even took the C ... read more

Pros: Solid body and powertrain, quiet, power rear window, cool 6 disc changer Cons: Overpriced, small, cheap plastic feel, tiny gas tank, power locks locked manually, terrible keyless remote The Bottom Line: If you have enough $$$ to buy this ride, then you have enough upstairs to do it right. Get an Escalade or something! If you want value, look elsewhere!
First off, I own (still do) a Ford Expedition. My wife and I waited for the Sequoia to come out because we heard it was comparable to the Exp. I had some little problems with the Ford while under warranty, and eventually said that I would never but ... read more

I purchased this vehicle in Feb 01. Yes I paid alot of money for this vehicle, but you are buying a TOYOTA. Historically, Toyota's are pricy in any model. Remember the old adage, "You get what you pay for". I love my Sequoia. It handles better than ... read more

Pros: Impressive acceleration for an SUV, nice handling, and excellent stability. Cons: Boxy styling, and the wind resistance is very low at high interstate speeds. The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a large SUV with excellent handling, "on-demand" power, and great braking, then the Toyota Sequoia is for you.
Before I purchased my 2001 Toyota Sequoia, I had a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban. I thought it didn't get any better than that. The Suburban had four-wheel drive, eight seats, and a commanding feel of the road. Everything I needed in an SUV, I had in the ... read more

Pros: Almost everything Cons: None that I can think of...... The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a big SUV for a big family, Toyota has come up with a great alternative. This very well may be the best large SUV!
I just purchased an SR5 Toyota Sequoia. I was a bit skeptical about it because this was their first venture into the very competitive large SUV market. I couldn't have been more wrong about this car.

Pros: Great truck. Toyota quality throughout Cons: Gas mileage is low (but not as low as expected) Getting 15.4 city The Bottom Line: Pricey but what isn't these days. If you're in the market for a full-sized SUV, the Sequoia should be on your short-list. Should prove reliable for many years.
I have owned Toyota vehicles since 1978. I have owned a Celica, 2 Camrys (still have the 1989 sedan and its going strong), a Cressida, and a 4-Runner (traded it in for the Sequoia) and I have always been impressed with the Toyota quality and ... read more

I had read the prior opinions regarding the Sequoia. In particular I had to laugh at the opinion, which stated that 240HP, was inadequate for a truck of this size. In the same comment the writer goes on to say X has more hp but "35 lbs. less torque". To ... read more
