Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: No

Pros: It's a fun car, great on gas, good in the snow, reliable
Cons: It is the most expensive car to maintain you can not fix it yourself
The Bottom Line: I go back and forth on the recommendation, yes it a great car, but really look into the hidden costs of repairs and go from there.

Ok, I wanted a new Beetle since they first came out. I got the silver 2001 GLS with turbo, it was so sweet and i was so excited it only had 60 miles when i got it, currently, its just shy of 55K. I worked 2 jobs to be able to keep the car when the tech ... read more

Pros: head room, pep, cuteness
Cons: cup holders, repairs
The Bottom Line: I have had many problems with mine. I would suggest that if you are looking into buying this car to reconsider.

When the term “Bug” is used in reference a car there is usually one thought it’s a “chick” car. I have to agree that I think the same way. The cute factor was not the reason that I bought my 2001 VW New Beetle. I in fact became interested in this car ... read more

Ok, so there was a time that i swore i would never buy one of these little econo box sardine cans. There was a time that i thought these were some of the stupidest looking cars ever. Whenever i thought of a new beetle i thought of that scene from fight ... read more
