Pros: driving position, cool key, ride, safety Cons: back seat, armrest, taillights burning out The Bottom Line: Excellent for someone who doesnt like the beetle, yet wants a safe fun vehicle
Going through 2 vw beetles, and still having my life and my health I decided to stay in the vw family when looking for a new car. I went to the same vw dealership I bought my last 2 beetles from and found a beautiful deep blue 2001 volkswagen jetta ...

Pros: Reliable, fast, German engine with amazing sound system. Cons: When it breaks, you're broke. The Bottom Line: I would recommend this as a safe and reliable car. However I would caution those with limited budgets for repairs.
Thinking of buying a used Jetta? I bought my Jetta in August of '05 with 78k miles on it. It's a black 1.8T, standard transmission. The price was right, about $8,300 and it tested very well. Love at first drive. After reading various reviews ...

Pros: Euro-cool styling, solid construction, fuel mileage, nifty German engineering Cons: Rear leg and head room, short warranty compared to others in class The Bottom Line: Nice balance of economy, quality and style. The TDI engine is a great choice if diesel is available where you're traveling.
It's a question I heard a lot at the pump after I purchased the 2001 VW Jetta TDI. I have heard everything from, "What kind of mileage do you get?" to "Is that one of those hybrids?" :)
Why the VW Jetta TDI?
The VW is my first...

Pros: European feel. Great value for the dollar. Cons: Backseat is cramped for adults. The Bottom Line: A great balance between German quality, performance, affordability, family and economy.
I bought my 2001 VW Jetta 1.8T Wolfsburg about a week ago, and absolutely love it. The look, feel and performance are equal (and in some cases greater) than more expensive German manufacturers; like BMW and Audi.

Pros: looks great, lots of features, huge trunk Cons: small center console, small glove box, can get noisey on freeway The Bottom Line: If your interested in a jetta i highly recommend you test drive one, who know you might fall in love, i know i love mine.
I bought my jetta at the beginning of march of 06, it had 20,000 miles on it which was not bad for 5 years, i paid a not so bad 16,000 for mine with full coverage and bumper to bumper warranty. Let me just say this i love my jetta, like i hear many ...

Pros: Solid/user friendly/full spare/resale/reliability Cons: Smaller interior than previous design/ no six speed
The current success of VW has been built primarily on the appeal of the Jetta.
Over the years I have owned many Volkswagen products and for 5+ years I owned a small repair/sales business that earned a good portion of its income from loyal VW...

Pros: Quality, speed, stereo, quiet ride, fun to drive Cons: Very little backseat space, light interior can easily stain. The Bottom Line: Go buy it now, if you don't, you'll be Sorrrrrrrry!!!!
First, let me mention that if you are not a member of Costco, you should try to join one before you purchase any new car. They have an Auto Purchase program with a network of dealers that agree to only charge a hundred to two hundred dollars over their...

Pros: handling: responsiveness and stability; interior and exterior design, style and ergonomics; speed Cons: minor quality problems The Bottom Line: A Jetta will turn you on to the possibilities of driving.
When it came to buying a new car, I looked for three things. Fun driving experience makes the top of the list. I did not want to become one of those mindless driving zombies you see out on the road because they bought a Chevy Malibu or a Toyota Corolla....

Pros: Quick Engine, Great Handling, Quiet, fun to drive, Interior has sporty feel, rims look great, sport package is a steal, Leather smells and feels great, You feel like you are driving a inexpensive BMW Cons: Needs Better Brake Feel, Seats are really Uncomfortable and have old-school adjustment knobs, black interior gets shows dirt and scratches easy, Reverse is jerky, door doesn't shut tight, small trunk opening, the car is smaller then the old model, and need
This little car is a blast! It feels rich and very "German". Having just returned from a 3 day road trip across California, I can finally tell you my feelings for this little car with confidence.
My girlfriend purchased this car to...

Pros: great luxury for price, superior handling, trunk space, sound system, great pickup Cons: back seat leg room, location of radio & climate controls, no standard CD player The Bottom Line: I would certainly recommend this high end Jetta over a low end Audi or BMW. Great car for the money!
I recently bought a 2001 VW Jetta GLX, galactic blue, with tan leather interior. Okay, this car just feels good. The first passenger I took out in the car said, "This is a Volkswagen? I feel more like I'm in a BMW!" That's basically what I feel like...

Pros: Great mileage (47mpg), great handling,(steering & braking). Good acceleration Cons: Cramped interior, safety warnings shutdown prior to correction, mirror buttons difficult, not enough seat adjustments. The Bottom Line: The best car for commuters when size is not a concern. Not recommended for use as a family car. Supposedly seats five. It will. Like a can of Sardines!
I was driving a Volvo 850 with all the trim. It, however, was averaging only 28 miles to the gallon and I was putting almost 400 miles a week on the car. We decide that a new diesel was better suited to my commuting needs than was my 20 valve overhead...

Now after 35,00 miles, my wife will NEVER buy another VW!!!. Every time we take the car for regular maintainance or state inspections, something else is "wrong" with it and has to be fixed. The dash warning light came on, no idea why, dealer said brake ...

Pros: Sweet Design, Great Gas Mileage, Excellent Features Cons: Neon Blue Lights The Bottom Line: If you are in the market for a new smaller car that will last you a long time, you must give this car a test drive.
Volkswagen has outdone itself again! Volkswagen is constantly innovating the industry. Think about Volkswagen's that you've seen.
