Cons: No heated seats, no power seats.
The Bottom Line: To sum up my review, I Highly recommend this vehicle and take my hat off to Acura for building a reliable, fun, and overall pleasurable vehicle to own and drive.

Cons: Interior noise level might not be acceptable for grandpas. The car needs a good spoiler.
The Bottom Line: ACURA KEEP UP THAT GOOD WORK !

The 2002 Acura RSX has left many people wondering how come the word ‘Integra’ was not there. Why not Acura Integra RSX right? More than we all would ever know, it is just another of Honda Motor Corporation of Japan marketing department’s new selling ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Transmission, easy to read console, engine, handling
Cons: No room in the back for passengers,
The Bottom Line: You will LOVE this car !!! Not recommended for families, because of smaller rear seats and tight suspension.

Two days ago I purchased a RSX premium from West Side Acura in Edmonton (If you want to know who the best person to talk to is just e-mail me). For those readers in the states this model comes with everything the Type S comes with except the Bose sound ... read more

Nov 30, 2001 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The acura RSX is a great car
Cons: The looks are a little modern and may not be for everyone
The Bottom Line: The RSX is a great addition to the Acura lineup and would be worthwhile to anyone looking for a sports car that actually moves people.

Remember the days of the Acura Integra. Well, they are over. Acura's competition to make a cheap car with the potential to be a real speed demon has ended. Replaced with a new, more sophisticated vehicle, with a more sophisticated price tag. The new RSX ... read more

2002 Acura RSX Type S - Honda does it again.

by
Nov 12, 2001 - Updated Aug 19, 2002 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: 6-speed, bolstered leather seats, 200-HP, iVTEC, it's a Honda.
Cons: Tires, no illuminated sunvisor mirrors
The Bottom Line: A great-looking, sporty, quick, comfortable [for 2], and downright FUN car that clearly outdoes the competition. The greatest pocket-rocket going!

I put my order in 2 months ahead of time. The day it was released to the public, July 2nd, I played hooky from work and showed up at the dealer at opening. I was the first person in the Philadelphia suburbs to drive away in a 2002 RSX Type S. ... read more

2002 Acura RSX - A Clear Success!

by
Oct 16, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Competent handling, precise braking and steering, good value, high-performance offering.
Cons: Xenon headlights, traction/stability control systems absent from options list. Type-S needs more aggressive wheel/tire package.
The Bottom Line: Looking for a sporty, near $20,000 coupe? Then look no further than the Acura RSX. It provides almost everything one could ask for and expect in its price range.

Think rugged SUV’s are the only exciting new vehicle offerings available? Think again, as Honda’s premium Acura division recently introduced its latest high-performance sports coupe, the Acura RSX. The RSX is the replacement for the long-standing ... read more

Fun on 4 wheels

by
Oct 8, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great value, nice quality, excellent power and comfort
Cons: No side mouldings, stock stereo could use more oomph
The Bottom Line: The most fun you'll have on 4 wheels for the money as long as you don't expect this to be a full blooded race car.

I recently purchased thr rsx-s and can say that it seems to be a great value for the money. I had considered a 2002 Celica, but after driving both and looking at the difference between what you get on the Acura vs. what's optional on the Toyota this made ... read more

ACURA RSX TYPE-S: "Our Little Integra is All Growns Up!"

by
Oct 4, 2001 - Updated Oct 10, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth, powerful engine. Many standard features, comfy seats. More sophisticated, and still fun to drive.
Cons: Less torque means higher revs. New looks and personality may not excite some younger buyers.
The Bottom Line: The RSX is the mature, more refined replacement of the late Integra. Though much of the youthful personality is lost, it's a fine car, and still fun.

WHAT'S IN A NAME? Noticed a name trend with Acura cars? It all started around 1996, when Acura started dropping car names in favor of "upscale-sounding" alphanumeric labels. Examples? The Legend became the “3.5RL”. Then Acura added the “TL” and ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: An Elegant Compromise Between Performance and Luxury
Cons: Price
The Bottom Line: The RSX Base Model is a nice, sporty car, and undoubtedly the best one in the class, with these features, at this price.

You already know about the Honda and Integra heritage of the car, I'm sure. If not, read the other opinions on this fine car. They've covered it pretty well. First off, let me say that, in fact, most of you will drive UNDER 100 mph and have ... read more

RSX = sport and luxury, another Acura success.

by
Sep 8, 2001 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Sporty, refined, athletic, and upscale.
Cons: Silly name (the RSX is an Integra everywhere it's sold except North America).
The Bottom Line: The RSX is a worthy successor to the vaunted Integra because it moves the Integra to a new level of luxury while retaining most of the Integra's sporty origins.

The 2002 Acura RSX is the replacement for the 3rd generation Integra which was produced for eight years. Given that most cars are redesigned every four years, the Integra was an automotive dinosaur when it was finally retired. However, the 1994 to 2001 ... read more

Cons: Blah styling, plastic looking interior
The Bottom Line: A ho-hum looking sports car? Integra's exterior is still not outdated yet!

Another step down the ladder for Honda

Author's Product Rating: 30 Recommended: No

Pros: Looks decent, good handling on smooth roads, in-dash changer, brakes
Cons: Weird interior, unsettled on rough roads, torqueless
The Bottom Line: If you have money burning a hole in your pocket and NEED a Honda, check this one out - but I'd rather have a 10-year old Honda than this one.

Here is my personal review of the RSX Type-S. Kudos to Epinions for finally posting it - I've been itching to write this for a couple weeks now. I went to the local dealer and they had a "desert mist blue" RSX Type-S sitting out front. It ... read more

I own a 2002 RSX and when I took it in to get serviced at my local Acura dealer the mechanic told me it was the only car Acura ever made that can run on 87 octane. I have been using that exact fuel type for around 40,000 miles with no hiccups whatsoever. ... read more
