Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: fun fun fun, very responsive engines and chassis, low beltline
Cons: beyond my budget, chintzy cupholder, out of production
The Bottom Line: One of those rare cars where the imperfections actually increase the joy of driving. Among $30k and up roadsters, this is my favorite.

Every once in a while I toy with the idea of getting a small roadster as a second car. Probably a Miata. Unfortunately, I bothered to share this pipe dream with Epinion’s ex-resident BMW huckster, Bobmc. He used to work on BMWs, and now he sells them. So ...

End of the line...the 2002 M Roadster

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Still frighteningly fast with great looks. Not many out there.
Cons: Expensive, plastic rear window, can't fix rim damage, rear suspension.
The Bottom Line: If you like insane amounts of torque and horsepower, then this is your car. It reminds me of the AC Cobra.

This is my second review of the S54 M Roadster. I've included a link to my review of the 2001 M Roadster below, which is much more comprehensive.. I felt that I should say a few brief words about the 02 versus the M Roadster, although, there is only ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Stunning looks, very fast, class player, handles well, great features, well rounded.
Cons: Not best performance value, visability, chassis flex, cramped interior, clutch, not made, suspension.
The Bottom Line: Get this car if you want a well rounded sports car, expect to shell out a few thousand to make it a top player.

Updated: 2006/01/16 OVERVIEW: This is a review of the "sport specifications" of the Z3 and a little more. Casual drivers need not apply. :-) BOTTOM LINE: The BMW Z3 has the best offering in 2002 and it shows, as it's more fun to ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast, Sexy, Purrs, like supple nubuck leather, Driving with the top down is amazing.
Cons: Plastic Rear Window folds easy, but it is not glass.
The Bottom Line: If you are lucky enough to find and buy this car you too will know what driving a real sports car is all about. Good luck!

I am a Senior US Army Officer serving in Germany. I was not sure if the time was right to buy this car. After 9/11 I decided that now is the time. I am so very happy that I did. A dream has been fulfilled and I can't believe that it is really true....

Fun, sporty, beautiful design

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Drives great in city, sharp design.
Cons: Should've gotten the M3 version, the 6-cylinder is just not fast enough.
The Bottom Line: It is mechanically sound.

Design is unique and beautiful. I have had problems with servicing my car at BMW service centers. Sending emails did'nt help the situation. I will keep my car just because it is so beautiful and I am hoping that the six times that I have taken my car...

Z3-**Dangerously attractive** Nothing can beat this!

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: -184.horsepower. -powerful inline six and ventilated front disc brakes.
Cons: It seats only two passengers. At high speeds does the 2.5 can feel winded
The Bottom Line: Just think-225-horsepower 3.0-liter six-cylinder, reducing 0 to 60 mph acceleration performance from about 8 seconds to less than 6.

The intelligence of the vehicle as a whole has always impressed me. The distinctive physique, superior handling, attractive ergonomics, and excellent value (still under $30,000) have catapulted the Z3 to near perfection.
Now it offers style as well...
