Pros: Did not handle badly, decent crash results, decent gas. Cons: Very little pick up; cramped in the back; its competition is better. The Bottom Line: I would not recommend the Prizm to a friend because I would not buy it for myself. There are other cars in the price range that are better.
When my mom was visiting she rented a 2002 Chevrolet Prizm for two weeks. She is not supposed to drive so I did much of the driving. I was a little concerned because I really did not like the Chevy Metro we rented in Hawaii. This is being...

Pros: PRICE, expected reliability and durability, tight construction, fuel economy, spunk Cons: engine and wind noise, rear legroom The Bottom Line: makes great sense as a used car buy. Don't get a 3-speed auto, get a 4-speed or manual. Also look at Protege.
In March 2003, I bought a used 2002 base Prizm with a 5 speed manual transmission from a private seller. My review is based on 3̶ w̶e̶e̶k̶s&

4 years of ownership, plus some comparisons with our older 96 then-Geo Prizm. ...

Pros: Nice looks, stingy on gas, reliable,
smooth ride, great handling Cons: Rear seat could be a bit bigger. The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Chevy Prizm if
your looking for a good-looking,reliable,safe, economical
automobile. It's a great commuter car.
My lease was up on my Malibu, although my Malibu was a great car my needs turned towards a smaller car. Being that I am a Chevy loyalist it was either the Cavalier or Prizm. The choice was clear- the Prizm all the way. Based upon the Toyota Corolla ...

Pros: Simple.Looks nice.Drives very smoothly.Great on gas.Quiet. Cons: Not automatic. The Bottom Line: If you're looking for a cheap reliable car, I'd say this would be a good choice.
This is my first car. It hasn't had any major problems while I've had it. I've only had to change the belts and get the rear brakes changed..not a big deal. I love the fact that it fits me perfectly. It's not a huge car, being as I'm short, I love ...

Pros: Economy, quality, comfort, handling. Cons: Plain, uninspired interior. Some controls are inconvenient. The Bottom Line: Outstanding value. One of the best choices when looking for a quality, fuel efficient car without spending too much. Fun to drive and easy to own.
I got an excellent deal on a new 2002 Prizm from a local Chevy dealer.
The starter did fail in the first 300 miles but it was fixed under warranty. Otgherwise, quality - both parts and assembly - are first rate.
I consistently get...

Pros: Great gas mileage, smooth acceleration, easy to drive, decent ride for a small car. Cons: Interior looks cheap on base model. The Bottom Line: The Prizm is a cheaper way to get the quality, ride and gas mileage of a Corolla.
If you want to by a new Prizm, too bad! The 2002 model was the last one, and one of the the best compact car bargains disappears with it. A bargain because this car was basically a Toyota Corolla that was rebadged with a Chevy bowtie and sold at a...

Pros: highly reliable and inexpensive for upkeep Cons: no rpm gauge...I drive stick shift
I bought this car as my first car ever! I love my car it's awesome! I would highly recommend this car to anyone in my age group (college bound, or right out of college)! This is highly reliable! I have not had any problems or issues with this car, which is something that I need! I go to school in Massachusetts, my parents live in Florida! I cannot afford a vehicle that is unreliable! I have noticed that if you don't drive it more than a couple miles that it will guzzle gas, but if you drive it more than that then I don't need to fill up the tank often!
Also I have had this car occassionally sit for atleast a month, and it will still start up! This is a Toyota Corolla incognito, which means I hope to be driving it around for a very long time!
I felt as though this car has a lot of pep to it. Atleast mine does. As silly as this sounds my car is a happy car because it wants to be driven and does not have any of those funny car noises, which one worries about.

Pros: gas mileage, comfort, reliability, compact and easy to maneuver. Cons: interior design
I loved this car for its reliability and its low repair cost and good gas mileage. I think that the interior design could have been better with more places to put your essentials and better cup holders. I make road trips a lot and I thought the car was comfortable but it annoyed me that there was no where to put my cell, sun glasses, cigarettes, wallet, etc. except for on the floor. Also I couldn't change the radio station if I had a drink in the cup holder. I know these are petty things to complain about but when you're trying to concentrate while driving on the interstate these things are important. Other than that this car is great for me.
