Pros: Super Macho styling, Big tires, Rugged & spacious, 4 swing out doors. Cons: Poor MPG with 5.9 V8, Could use some more power in all V8s available. The Bottom Line: Hot looks and a plush interior, all for a fair price.
Since 1994 Dodge has boasted the baddest trucks on the planet. When the 1994 model made its debut it had a toughness that no other truck could compete with. For the 2002 model year the Dodge truck has received a makeover; is it still the ...

Pros: Great looks, roomy, comfy back seat, clever storage areas, crash test results Cons: Had to have my engine replaced!, gas mileage The Bottom Line: I would recommend this truck because it has a lot of features for the money and also doubles as a good family vehicle.
As soon as Dodge came out with this truck I knew it was the one I wanted. I had been researching trucks on the internet for about 6 months and wasn't even considering Dodge. At the time it came out, there really wasn't another light duty truck with the ...

Pros: Styling, Roomy Cab, Ride and Handling Cons: Fuel Economy, Power The Bottom Line: With a reasonable entry price an newly added safety features such as side curtain air bags, the Dodge Ram is worth adding to your shopping list.
People love trucks. There is really no good explanation for this, it just seems to be a fact of life. Maybe it’s our fascination with some sort of idyllic “Bridges of Madison County” lifestyle, where the only obligation each day is to move some...

Pros: Overall styling, cab space, comfort, handling, braking, paint quality improved Cons: Hard to find many options on lots, size overwhelms tires, drives "big", dealers The Bottom Line: A funner alternative to the stodgier mainstream trucks. But buy a Tundra if you want reliablility, handling, power, and refinement over pizazz.
Since I'm in the market for a regular cab truck, I've found that in recent years they just aren't very popular except as pure work vehicles, stripped down and ready for service. It's very hard to find one that's equipped for personal use on the lots...

Pros: Power, Economy, Power, Capability, Power, reliability...did I mention power? Cons: Delivery pumps & track bars, loudness, rough ride. I like it. The Bottom Line: If you don't mind a stiffer ride, you are HIGHLY rewarded! Economy, power potential, and durability are unsurpassed.
I purchased my 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 Quad Cab Cummins Diesel new in August '02. It has performed beyond my wildest expectations over the past year. I now have almost 20,000 miles on my truck, and feel that I can now comment knowledgeably on it. Let's go ...

Pros: No, its a Cummins... Beefy, Fuel Mileage, Off-road Ability, Reliability, and Dana 44's, WOW. Cons: Faulty Brake Calipers, Bad Injector Pumps, Horrible Interior Life, and an annoying "dig." The Bottom Line: I think that this truck is the best thing on the road. I have two of them, this one and a one ton dually. Great Quality truck.
I bought my '02 Dodge in 2004 Used from the dealer in excellent condition with 26,000 miles on it. It is the Quad Cab Laramie Package, Standard 6 speed Transmission, with four-wheel drive. Now after 79,000 miles of driving with actual mileage at ...

Pros: King of the Road Styling and Seating
Interior space and function Cons: Gas Mileage, Power, Quality Concerns The Bottom Line: Although initial pricing and features are attractive, I absolutely would not purchase this truck again. It is difficult to live with and drive for 400 plus miles in a day.
The 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab first appealed to me because of the rear seat access and updated styling. I purchased a barely used 4x4 example with the 5.9L gas V-8, automatic, and SLT option package from the local Dodge dealer. The truck had slightly...

Pros: Styling, Power, Ride, Handling, Braking Cons: Fuel economy, rear-end hop The Bottom Line: A solid and worthy entry in the full size segment.
Styling:
No question; the most distinctive looking pickup on the market today, there's no mistaking this rig for anything other than a RAM!
Driving:
I continue to be impressed with the civility of this truck's manners. I often have...

Pros: Styling, Safety, Comfort, Roominess, Quality Cons: Gas Mileage The Bottom Line: The factory rebate and the 7-year, 100,000 mile Ram with the competition, I'd have bought it without the rebate or extended warranty... but don't tell Dodge that!!!
I'm a truck guy. I've sold them for a living, repaired them for a living and owned more than I can remember at one time or another. Not much about trucks impresses me... or didn't until now.
I've owned a Toyota Tundra, a new Ford, two new...

Pros: 4 Disc brakes. Power. Real 4 doors. Increased space for rear seat passengers. Cons: Gas mileage. The Bottom Line: Buy It! It is a very serious truck. Beats all other four door pickups. Pure power and style. Intimidates all other trucks with its functionality, size and looks.
I first became interested in the Dodge Ram Quad Cab when I saw it on the way from Cape Cod. This is one of the best looking 4 door pickups on the road. This vehicle is great as a work or family car. What else can you want in the car other then 4 doors...

Pros: Interior appointments, rugged looks, flat steel storage area after back seats folded Cons: Not able to deactivate powerseat, very light duty for loads or hauling The Bottom Line: A good truck for people with acreage or for people who need a dual purpose vehicle, etc. But not for real trailors or as a day to day work truck.
First off I want to say that my main reason for purchasing this truck was for work. But it has been brought in for family trips too. I purchased this truck a year ago and have seen it through a typical Canadian winter. Overall a pretty decent truck. The ...

Pros: I like the smooth ride the long wheelbase gives this truck. Cons: Too many factory defects company doesn't stand behind. This truck will break Wallet and Heart. The Bottom Line: Stay away from Chrysler products until the company forces it engineers to fix properly, the numerous factory defects. Ridiculous additional maintenance requirements. Look at other manufacturers maintenance schedules for proof.
I owned a Chrysler product some years ago and decided then that I didn't like the lack of the company standing behind their product which at the time had numerous factory defects. 10 Years later, I wanted a large 4-Door truck that I could use to tote the ...

Pros: Roomy interior!!! Great ride, Sits up high, Great engine for a V-6, Great styling! Cons: Gas mileage, short bed, The Bottom Line: Great truck for the buck. Was the least expensive truck over all the trucks I looked at!
First of all I don't like writing 10 pages like some other people do. I like to keep my reviews short and to the point! I bought a new Dodge 1500 single cab shortbed in May 2002. I have nothing but praise for this truck. It is the most roomest ...

Pros: Room, seating comfort, ease of driving, ride Cons: Gas cost The Bottom Line: If you need the extra space for children or otherwise, get it. It is wonderful!
We had to upgrade to a larger van when our 5th child was born. With 5 children in car seats, a minivan nor conversion van were going to cut it. We decided to go with the 15 passenger 3500 series and decided to go new. It has been the BEST investment we...

Pros: Exterior and Interior Styling, Safety Features, Lots of Interior Room Cons: Gas Mileage,Quality Control Issues,Service Concerns The Bottom Line: Service and Quality/Reliability is something DC Corp. will need to work on before Dodge outsells Ford and Chevy Trucks.
Dodge took a chance in 2002 and redesigned some of the exterior and interior features of the 1500 light-duty Ram truck. Many old time Ram folks didn't like it, although it has grown on them just like the last major redesign.
The basic 1500 ST...
