Pros: Design, Engine Power, Nice Interior, Handling Cons: Small back seat and trunk--not good for families (or anyone with friends) The Bottom Line: Hyundai surprised us with this one--we wouldn't buy it, but you get a lot for your money with the XG350.
We recently had the opportunity to take a Hyundai XG 350 on a 900-mile "test drive" up to Yellowstone National Park. We were really just renting a car for four days, but since we ARE in the market for a new car, we were seriously considering Hyundais...

Pros: torquey V6, ride, quietness, comfortable interior, features-per-dollar, LONG warranties Cons: fuel economy, body lean, a little too heavy for its size, low resale values The Bottom Line: The XG350 is fine midsize luxury car with long warranties and tons of features for your dollar.
Hyundai first penetrated the U.S. market in 1986 with the subcompact Excel. In the years following its introduction, the South Korean automaker had grown a reputation for making "disposable" cars. Now, all that has changed for the burgeoning car...

Pros: Luxury, V6 power, many standard features, low price. Cons: Lurches from a dead stop. A little floaty on highway. The Bottom Line: If you are looking for a luxurious car with V-6 power, many standard features and a great price, I highly recommend this car.
I am not an expert. When I was looking for a car, I took my time and researched for several months, narrowing my search to the XG350 and the Camry. Once I test drove this car, I didn't look any further.
The first time I brought this to a...

Pros: Lots of extras, quiet, good power, roomy front seat, luxury inside, heated seats Cons: Quirky seat memory function, owners manual less than clear The Bottom Line: Incredible value for the money and it really does feel like a luxury sedan.
I had read about the XG350L, when it came out and was interested in getting all the luxury touches for a low price. Mine was the first my dealer had received and they were still trying to figure out how everything worked, when I walked in having just...

Pros: Great acceleration, loaded with features, great price for what it has. Cons: None. The Bottom Line: I think people should buy the Hyundai XG350 because it's the best car for your money.
My mother got a 2002 Hyundai XG 350 back in August of 2003. It was about a month before that when I got my learner's permit. This car is awesome. It has the acceleration of a high-performance sports car and the luxury of a Lincoln Town Car, an ...

Pros: A lot of features, engine power, seat position, visibility Cons: Sloshy handling, service from Hyundai The Bottom Line: If you engage in "checklist buying" then this is your car. If you want one of substance and where you will get good service, avoid it!
This car, to me, competes against near-luxury cars, although it does not have quality of a Lexus or Acura. But after renting one, I decided to go ahead and buy one.
When I bought the car, I found the seats to be very comfortable, the engine...

Pros: High quality, LOTS of standard features, affordable Cons: A few annoying idiosyncrasies, handles like a big car The Bottom Line: This car will explode your notions about Hyundai. It competes with the big guys.
My 1999 Buick Regal GS was due to be turned in from lease, and we were looking for a car with the same amenities. We didn't necessarily want another Buick. The local Buick dealer suggested that we include this Hyundai in our comparison. Of course, they ...

Pros: I loved driving it. Smooth, powerful engine. '68 Buick handling. Cons: Paint. Wind noise. Weak A/C. The 5 speed automatic transmission downshifts early. The Bottom Line: You can get a great used car with a warranty cheap. Check out the paint very carefully. The handling is fine after you get used to it.
I purchased a 2002 model with 18K on the odometer from the Hyundai dealer for about $14,500. A few days later, after paying to get it aligned, the handling improved greatly. This would have been a great car with plenty of features as mentioned in the ...

Recently got the XG350 as a rental. Was really impressed. Normally, I don't pay much attention to the cars I rent, but this one was so nice I had to ask more about it. I was stunned when I heard how much it cost. Really an unbelievable value.

Pros: Complete luxury, acceleration, sound system, reliable, well built, I love everything Cons: touchy gas pedal in first gear
I've never written a review for any product until now. I purchased a used 2002 XG350L in August 2005, with 50,000 miles for $11,400. My new car is the best large purchase I've ever made. My decision to buy the car was based a great deal on the opinions expressed in this forum.
The car is fast, powerful, smooth, and the eight disc CD changer sure doesn't hurt things. Anytime I am looking at traveling across town I look forward to the trip. There is nothing like blasting the system, leaning back in the nice leather seats, windows and moon roof down, and easing down on the accelerator in this car....especially knowing what I paid for it!
I've had zero problems with the vehicle, and I just want to thank all of you that wrote a review for helping me make a fantastic buy!
