Pros: Looks good, runs good, nice cd system, fun to drive and towable behind motorhome Cons: Has a high repair rating with insurance companies it is rated 15 out of 1-15. The Bottom Line: A great looking economy priced car, with a lot of standard features, that is also dinghy-towable behind a motorhome
I recently purchased a 2002 Pontiac Sunfire, and so far have been pleased with owning the car. It was a bit of a adjustment to go from a 4 wheel drive Chevy Blazer to a much smaller two door coupe, and though I miss the Blazer, I also really enjoy the...

Pros: good low end engine Cons: everything else The Bottom Line: The absolute worst choice you can make for the price. If you won this in a contest, great! Now go sell it and buy something else.
I came to test this little mobile with an open mind and high hopes for this car. Admittedly, this was a friend's car and I only drove it for about 15 or 20 minutes. I had higher hopes that the most powerful car maker in the world may have turned things...

Pros: Economical to buy and keep running Cons: Low power and crappy manual transmission The Bottom Line: If you don't mind a squeaky dashboard and low power, you'll save money for other things by buying this car.
If any of these apply to you, you can stop reading this review as this is not the car for you: -you have a family of 5 or plan to drive 5 people most of the time (it's just to small to do it comfortably) -you want sporty car that's got get-up-and-go ...

I drive 600 miles a week and need a car that is comfortable, reliable and economical to run; I found all of this and more in my new Pontiac Sunfire. Until now I had always owned midsized sedans with six cylinder engines. When it was time to trade in my...

Pros: Good power, stylish exterior, good stereo system, great value. Cons: Not for everyone. The Bottom Line: Fuel efficient, great value, excellent car.
Unfortunately, I only got to drive this car for one week, due to financing problems, however, I did drive over 500 miles in this car. My initial opinion was that the car was out of my league, in both price and handling, but the test drive was enough...

I got a great deal on the Sunfire I purchased about a year ago. I paid 4K and the blue book value was 6.5 at that time. I also had the car checked out by my mechanic before I bought it, so it did not come with any problems and the only ones I have had ...

Pros: Reliable, dependable, affordable, nice looking. Cons: Dents easy. The Bottom Line: Yes, this is the most reliable car I've had so far.
I bought this car in 2002 as an used formal rental. I have the 2 door version. Since then, the only things I have had to do for it are routine maintenance like new tires, oil changes, brakes, etc. The air conditioner still works great which is a must ...

This is a fantastic car to own. I bought my car about a year ago and I absolutely love it. I bought this car after looking for a decent Pontiac Grand Am and the only ones they had at the car lot were junk cars. The reasons I love my car are obvious ...

Pros: Sporty, Nice color, Styling. Cons: Since it costs well over $15k, some things felt cheap in the car. The Bottom Line: It's a great ride but the value starts dipping after 2-3 years. I was renting a 20,000 mile car.
I drove this car as a car rental (while my Integra was getting fixed)and the ride is typical of sporty compacts. GM doesn't usually make sporty compact cars like the imports do so I can only assume that the engine they used came from oversees since it...

Pros: It's a car. Cons: Extremely noisy. Rough handling. Weak engine. The Bottom Line: Although I only drove this car for three days, my initial impression was disappointment. Road noise was a huge annoyance.
Rented a Pontiac Sunfire two weeks ago. As soon as I accelerated onto the highway I was struck by the road noise. There is no insulation under this vehicle at all. You have to yell to carry on a conversation. Acceleration was sluggish. Handling...

Pros: Handles well, nice sound system Cons: None that I can think of
I bought one brand new. Received a good deal from the dealership, that is always nice. I drive 100 miles daily. In the 2+ years I have owned it, it has only been in the shop once, and has over 55,000 miles. The stereo is very good, sounds great! It handles the road well and passes other cars easily.

Pros: Still Drives Excellent Barley Any Problems Cons: Fuel Pump
I purchased a used 2002 Pontiac Sunfire in 2004. When I bought it, it had 39,000 miles. Today it has 125,000. So I've put about 85k miles on it in 5 years. The only problem I had with this car within 5 years besides the normal (brakes..etc..) was the fuel pump. I would highly recommend this car to anyone!
