Pros: fuel economy, amenities, safety features Cons: ergonomics, cabin noise level The Bottom Line: Gush all you want about Saturn's S cars; their L series just doesn't measure up to the competition.
It's been about a dozen years since General Motors wrestled itself from the twin grasps of Detroit and the UAW to build their first Saturns in Tennessee. From the get-go, the Saturn line was innovative: consider, for instance, the dealers' no-haggle...

Pros: Great customer service, well built and economical car to drive. Cons: Slightly under power, need more legroom in front and back seat. The Bottom Line: I must say that this car impresses me. It has a lot to offer and I think it is a good value for the money.
Saturn L300 4-door sedan, 2002 America Still Can Build Good Cars! About twelve years ago I visited a friend of mine in Laprairie, Quebec. He was one of the first Saturn dealers in Canada. He had a small but very nice showroom; I also liked the ...

Pros: High performance, good looking, reasonably priced with strong company backing Cons: None The Bottom Line: Saturn has put together a great package at a reasonable price: high performance, stylish, fuel efficient, roomy and solidly backed by its builder
I have heard about Saturn for years (10 to be exact) but until today, I had never driven one. My wife is looking for a new car and Saturn is one of the few that she hasn't test-driven. We have no Saturn dealer in Odessa but our sister city twenty miles...

Pros: Priced well, fun to drive, handles well, great gas mileage. Cons: It's not too stylish. The Bottom Line: Great car for the money. You can get great options for a little price. Engine has plenty of power and runs great.
YOU KNOW... ...sometimes we are simply surprised when we first see a car and think "nope, not that one!" I am going to begin my review with the experiences I have had with the car. If you would like to skip down to the SERVICE DEPARTMENT, you may ...

Pros: Great dealer support! Low insurance, dent proof doors and good mileage. Cons: Soft paint. Too much brake dust. No locking gas cap. Firestone Affinity tires. The Bottom Line: The bottom line is that Saturn supports it's customers better than any other major manufacturer.
34,500 miles and still no problems, which brings me to my update. Saturn uses Saab brakes in the L series. The rotors usually cannot be turned so they must be replaced. Saturn has stepped up to the plate and will replace the front rotors free of charge ...

Pros: Safety, fuel economy, comfort Cons: Shallow cup holders, unable to turn off running lights, automatic locks awkward The Bottom Line: Wonderful car. I don't think I'll own anything other than Saturn as long as I'm driving.
When my husband and I decided to buy a car, we knew that a late model used car would fit best into our budget. We narrowed down our search for a compact/subcompact and drove a handful of cars. After we drove the Saturn L200, we didn't drive anything...

Pros: Ride, handling, acceleration (V6 engine), styling, polymer panels, fuel economy (both engines), features Cons: Somewhat unrefined, spotty build quality The Bottom Line: I recommend this car. It's not as refined as some of the competitors, but it's reasonably quiet, has a good feature set, and is a great value.
Introduction The Saturn L-series was introduced for the 2000 model year. Up until this point, Saturn had only sold the subcompact S-series line, and it was quite successful. GM's hope was that Saturn's customers would move up to another ...

Pros: Value pricing, excellent road handling and power mating characteristics in V6 option. Cons: Interior ergonomics, "dual exhaust tailpipes" from one muffler. The Bottom Line: This is a car worth serious consideration by anyone who wants power, handling and easy maintenance for a bargain price.
My wife and I had not even considered the L-Series Saturn as a replacement for her three year old Volvo S70. We were looking at small SUVs and crew cab pickups and dropped in on a Saturn dealership to look at the VUE. The combination of price, a V6,...

Pros: Reasonable MPG, comfortable seats, handling, trunk space, good acceleration for 4-cyl Cons: UNRELIABLE, Saturn does not care about customers, paint chips easily, electrical problems, Dealers' attitude problem The Bottom Line: Another total POS from General Motors. Buy a Toyota or Honda. You get what you pay for!!!
This is an update on my 2002 Saturn LS-200. Well, it's been through 3 power steering rack assemblies, 4 power steering pumps, 5 sets of power steering hoses, 2 complete brake jobs with rotor/hose replacement, 2 sets of tires, and gee, where to begin ...

Pros: Ride, comfort, controls, ergonomics, mileage Cons: Pedal location, engine sound, ease of entry The Bottom Line: I would recommend this car due to Saturn's great buying experience, solid performance, and excellent mileage.
I wasn't sure I'd like the Saturn L200 when it pulled up to the rental car doorway. I tend to like smaller cars, but detest small, cheap cars. This car really grew on me the more I drove it. Mileage is claimed to be 24 city and 32 highway. My trip...

My Mustang had to go into the shop. The car dealership sent me to a rental car service. They gave me a 2002 Saturn L200. This car just had 400 miles on it. They had just gotten it the week before. This car was white with tan interior. I didn't have...

Pros: Good gas mileage, roomy, comfortable, inexpensive to own, maintain, and insure Cons: None The Bottom Line: It is by far the best car I have had. It is a perfect vehicle, especially for a growing family on a budget.
With our expanding family last year (a 2 year old and a baby on the way), we were looking to replace my 2 door 1996 Hyundai Accent, which was approaching 100,000 miles anyway. Our other car was a 4-door 1994 Saturn SL1, so we knew about the ...
