Pros: Car-like feel, V6 power, distinctive styling, dealer treatment Cons: Rear seat too low, some interior materials could be better, chassis lacks composure The Bottom Line: The VUE is more car-like than the Escape and more powerful than the CR-V. However, after a second test drive I now prefer both of those vehicles to this one.
Compact, car-based SUVs are the hottest segment of the market right now. Toyota and Honda have offered such vehicles for about five years now. The first generation RAV4 and CR-V werent quite right for the American marketToyota and Honda ...

Pros: Nice look, smooth ride, nice get up and go, and great consumer service. Cons: Uncomfortable back seat, doesn't look great in all colors and bad A/C. The Bottom Line: It's the new world of Mall Utility Vehicles. It's good looking, drives smoothly, lets you haul things and doesn't deplete those precious oil stores as quickly.
I am truly pleased with this automobile overall, so I must share. My father purchased this car for himself several months ago and is pleased as punch by it, and so is the rest of the family. We had all desired a SUV in the family, but we were...

Pros: Almost as useful as a minivan without the geek factor Cons: Blends into traffic a little too much for my taste The Bottom Line: A solid family car. Great reputation and economy all in one. Not for the serious off roading crowd.
I can’t believe I bought a GM. It was only last month that I joined the epinions community in order to vent my frustrations over a run in with an awful Pontiac. But this wasn’t my idea. My wife needed a new car and decided on a small SUV. From the short ...

Pros: Low priced mid-sized SUV, many options Cons: Conservative look, poor build quality, engine noise The Bottom Line: You get what you pay for.
This mid-sized SUV is priced just right for those looking for a bare bones jeep or those who want all the goodies for a good price.
My review will concentrate on what I noticed after a test drive, visiting fan Saturn websites and talking to...

Pros: Very comfortable, good power, economical, ABS Cons: No good in snow or hot weather. The Bottom Line: Buy ABS. For long trips in good weather, two people can be quite comfortable. Poor traction, A/C, and rears seats are the tradeoffs. Buy ABS.
The following comments apply to the 2.2L, 5sp manual, FWD, at 15000 miles: 1. Ride. Very good under all conditions. 2. Handling. Combination of well controlled suspension and standard 215 tires provide surprisingly good handling on twisty ...

Pros: Attractive; spacious; well-featured for the price; Saturn's reputation and customer service Cons: steering wheel design The Bottom Line: The car is a typical Saturn: elegant without being trendy, solid, comfortable and (one hopes!) reliable.
[Please see end of review for 7000 mile report]
A mere 2 years after my last new car, I found myself again needing to consider a change. I LOVED my Daewoo Nubira wagon (see my epinions review for further details), but I'd already turned over...

Pros: Handling, Acceleration, Appearance, Safety, Comfortable Seats Cons: None so far The Bottom Line: I give a strong recommendation for the Saturn VUE. For the money, it is the best buy out there.
As a first time Saturn owner and recent buyer of a Saturn VUE, my experience has been wonderful. In looking for an SUV, I met all of my criteria with the Saturn VUE. The only negative was that the finance person at the dealership got a little pushy on...

Pros: Suspension and front seats make a comfortable ride, thoughtful design features and cargo room plentiful Cons: engine noise on acceleration, rear seats don't fold completely flat The Bottom Line: She is worthy of the fine Saturn name. Rides smooth, handles light off-road capably, very comfortable and designed well, need to work on engine noise sneaking into cabin.
I was extremely thorough in my search for a new SUV. I read Consumer Reports and Edmunds and any other reviews I could find in car magazines and from owners. I had a Saturn SL-1 and was quite pleased with the Saturn after-sale experience. The service is...

Pros: Good price and value. Enjoyable ride and handling. Good mileage. Cons: Too many problems that weren't fixed correctly by the dealer. The Bottom Line: Buy with reservations. I had to do most of the homework to learn about the product, and the frequent defects meant frequent 40 mile trips back to the dealer.
My wife and I purchased a 2002 Saturn Vue in late March. We had been shopping for a new vehicle for several months and had considered many different brands and models. Among those we seriously considered were: Pontiac Aztec and Montana, Chrysler minivan,...

Pros: easy to manouver. Drives like a car. Kids love roll down windows. Cons: Cheap plastics, useless 4wd. Engine troubles after 5 years. The Bottom Line: A great entry level SUV but go with newer model with Honda engine and better build quality. May be to small for family of 4.
I have owned this car since early 2004. I was not crazy about the styling then, but my wife loved it and we needed a vehicle for our new family. Since my wife mainly drives it I will start with her opinions. She loves the styling, the ride height ...

Pros: Good gas mileage for its class, fun to drive, handles different terrains nicely Cons: irritating quality issues (bad latches, AC leaks, horn gone mad, etc.) The Bottom Line: Buy it because you like it and the price is right, but expect to have little problems.
OK, we bought this vehicle in 2002, since my 1990 Honda Civic had dumped me by the side of the road... while I was pregnant. Not content with being stranded, we went in search of a new car... Since our family was growing, I wanted something we ...

Pros: Excellent V6 engine and well designed interior. Cons: The transmission gives the impression of slipping when accelerating. The Bottom Line: For a first year model, the Vue has only a few kinks. It is worth taking a look at if you are in the market for a SUV.
See the 02 Vue. Saturn Vue 2002 The big honchos at Saturn have finally decided to enter the SU ...

Pros: V6 has loads of pep. Quiet, smooth, comfortable ride. Great looking. Great gas mileage. Cons: Lots of little problems. The Bottom Line: Over all I love my VUE, and would recommend it to my friends- which I have- but I would issue a word of warning along with it!
My husband and I stopped into a Saturn dealership on a whim one day. We were thinking of trading off our gas hog Explorer, but had no immediate plans. I had seen the VUE and loved how it looked. We have heard such incredible things about Saturn cars...

Pros: Lots of power Cons: some road noise The Bottom Line: A well made, reasonably priced SUV, highly recommended
Well.....I guess I'm the first one. I was very excited when I first learned that the Saturn Corp. was designing an SUV. I had found out through my local dealer, that the VUE, the new SUV would be available at the end of 2001. Right after Thanksgiving,...

Pros: Simple, good looking, uncluttered dash. Great service dept. Cons: Only a few first year model probs, very minor. Service was great though! The Bottom Line: Great low end SUV, versatile, great for mild off road...FUN to drive (great for railfans who go off road to photograph trains!)
April 1, 2002 2,300 miles-I like to drive it. March 1 2002 I took home a brand new silver-black Saturn Vue..... Why? Here's why. My first new car was a 1999 Saturn SL. For 3 years it was reliable and hec, not one mechanical problem with ...
