Pros: Power, comfort, quality of construction Cons: gas milage, stiff seats The Bottom Line: I would buy this truck again in a heartbeat. The quality has to be seen to be appreciated. Even with the somewhat high price, it is a great value.
I traded a '99 F-150 and the difference in quality is unreal. Everything in the Toyota fits and performs perfectly. No rattles, quiet on the road, great stereo. The V-8 is the only way to go, a perfect match for the size of this truck. It is a little...

Pros: High Dependability, Great Warranty backing by Manufacturer, good MPG, and great looks. Cons: Thin paint, some cheap fixtures, uncomfortable bench seat. The Bottom Line: I recommend buying any Toyota vehicle as I've had many that have exceeded 220K plus trouble-free miles.
This is a great, and reliable truck, and I could highly recommend it to anyone. Mine still runs, and drives great, has 164K on it, and with no mechanical problems besides the recall repair on the balljoints as a precautionary measure. However there are ...

Pros: Nimble steering, Good power, Decent Stock equipment. Cons: Transmission "hitch", ABS not standard, Rear drum brakes. The Bottom Line: These are great trucks but good luck finding a used one.
I test Drove every model of truck out there before settling on this particular vehicle. There is definitely some consistency through the reviews that I will attempt to address. The truck had 65,000 miles on it when purchased, and the check engine ...

Pros: Big box to haul stuff, Adequate power, Awesome ride, nice driving experience, access cab Cons: Fuel economy, payload, recalls The Bottom Line: Unless you need more payload capacity, this is an truck to have.
Just bought my 2002 Toyota Tundra Access Cab 4x4 with 49,000 miles on it. Has the 4.7L Iforce V8. About to get my first oil change. I haven't tried towing anything with it yet, but it seems to have plenty of power for usual 1/2 ton truck stuff. Came ...

Pros: Reliable, comfortable, attractive, easy to drive Cons: interior a bit spartan The Bottom Line: This truck does nothing exceptionally and everything well. A pleasing experience awaits you.
We bought this truck after suffering through 3 years ownership of an Olds Alero. My wife really, really wanted a truck. I said "No, think of the expense, what are we going to use a truck for?" Thankfully my wife completely ignored me and we purchased ...

Pros: Well made, comfortable ride, enough power with V6 Cons: Watch that air bag. Not real easy on gas. The Bottom Line: Don't trust the air bags. Always wear your seat belt.
Two reasons I bought this truck. #1 safety, #2 it is built in Indiana by UAW workers. Buy American, ...

Pros: Engine, Comfort, Ride, Ease of Towing Cons: Cannot have extended cab and long-bed at the same time The Bottom Line: It is a excellent towing vehicle, and a nice ride too.
I have owned four pickup trucks. I started with a 93 Truck, then a 94 T-100. I bought my first camping trailer, and bought a 00 Tundra V6 Regular Cab. Lastly, I got a bigger camping trailer and purchased the 02 Tundra SR5 extended cab with the V8....

Pros: Looks, Ride, Reliability, Power Cons: NONE! The Bottom Line: The only truck I would consider trading this one in on would be another Tundra after I put my usual 300-500,000 on it!
We had always wanted a full-size pick-up but refused to buy one until either Toyota or Nissan had built one with a V8.
This truck is awesome! Handles great, rides great, looks great and of course I know it will be reliable! We have owned 4...

Pros: Very smooth, Strong engine, comfortable, strong brakes Cons: vibrating brakes The Bottom Line: I recommend this truck to anyone and everyone. If you decide on this truck, you will have made the right choice.
I bought my 2002 tundra v8, ext cab, 4x4, with 12000 miles on it. In only 2 months I put over 6000 miles on it. I love driving that truck! It is so much more comfortable then other trucks in its class. The ride, even with 4x4, is amazingly smooth....

Pros: Excellent in all respects. Cons: Rear seat comfortable, but tight for adults. The Bottom Line: Excellent, just perfect. I do not need a crew cab or tow heavy trailers.
This is my third Toyota truck and I have had it for 8,000 miles with no problems nor did I have difficulties with previous Toyotas.
I am delighted with this truck. I test drove other trucks prior to this purchase and this was the best by...

Pros: Excellent build quality, good power, comfortable for full size truck Cons: transmission "clunk"...no black interior option, NO problems to date (5,500 miles) The Bottom Line: I would absolutely get another Tundra. I am looking forward to a remodel / upgrade of the Tundra in 2004 for my next vehicle.
I own a 2002 Toyota tundra 4X4 and love it. I've had many cars in the past ,but fell in love with trucks when I bought a Tacoma in 2000. Unfortunately the Tacoma had a small 4 cylinder and was a little underpowered for me.
Hence, my Tundra...

Pros: Great off the line & at top speeds, handles well, no rattles like other 3. Cons: Poor location for clock, no interior gas door opener. The Bottom Line: Get this if you want a truck that will last a LONG time. Toyota reputation along with thier ingenuity surpasses the Big 3 time & time again!
I love my Tundra! This is my first truck & it took me a year to research between the other MFG before deciding on the Tundra. The handling is excellent espressially after adding the Hellwig Anti-Sway bar in the rear!
Prior to the Tundra, I...

Pros: Powerful V8, good ride Cons: Reputation for brake problems, driveshaft "clunk", some cheap interior trim The Bottom Line: The Tundra is a quality truck, and although it has a few low points, is still better than the other three large pickups.
The Toyota Tundra is a pickup truck which is suited well for city driving. It provides a smooth ride and handles well. Mine is a 2WD access cab V8. The 2002 Tundra is available in two body styles- a regular cab with an 8' long bed, and an access cab...

Pros: Power is awesome, ride outstanding, handling better than most Cons: This truck has poor brakes when fully loaded. The Bottom Line: Buy it if you want a well dressed classy 'city' truck with lots of great options and awesome V8 power.
Don't buy it if you are hauling heavy loads.
The sales people want you to believe the Tundra is a true 3/4 ton truck. It is, at best, a 1/2 ton pickup just capable of handling a 6,500 pound trailer equipped with proper trailer brakes.
The truck has drum brakes in the rear and small disk...
