by fhiga
May 5, 2003 - Updated May 9, 2003 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Sweetest high revving V6 VTEC engine, ferocious engine and exhaust sound, thick leather seats
Cons: Needs 18inch wheels, no 1st-2nd shift with SportShift, Bose stereo could have more bass
The Bottom Line: Wait till you hear that ferocious V6 VTEC

Specs for the 3.2CL Type-S model: 2 door, Front Wheel drive, 4 passenger luxury coupe 3.2Liter 260HP 60deg. VTEC (Variable Valve Timing and Lift Electronic Control), 24 valve SOHC (Single OverHead Cam) at 6800RPM 232 lb-ft torque, at ... read more

My 2003 CL S-Type

by digitalpurple
Nov 30, 2002 (A Somewhat Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very Responsive.Nice sports seats that hold you in. Sounds agressive; nice V-Tec sound
Cons: Navigation not so good wait for next generation or after market NAV.
The Bottom Line: GET ONE!! best over all pricing and quality for a sports/luxury car.

I traded in my old 2001 sports-shift CL S-Type for the 2003 CL S-Type 6-speed. This is my first manual to own. The car is lighter than the automatic but still has the Honda accord chassie so it's heavy for a sports car but still rides nice. New style ... read more

Can a 6-speed Transform a Luxury Coupe?

by spdster2002
Aug 27, 2002 - Updated Sep 25, 2002 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: standard 6-speed manual on Type-S (finally!), strong acceleration, fuel economy, features-per-dollar
Cons: ride, back seat accommodations, 17-inch wheels look small for a sports car
The Bottom Line: Although not as agile as a BMW, the CL is very nice luxury sports coupe that offers more EVERYTHING than its competitors and at a lower price!

The CL is Acura's first U.S.-built automobile. It was introduced as a sports coupe with "the sportiness of an Integra, and the refinement of a TL" in 1997. The original CL was based on the Accord at the time, but since 2001, has been switched to a ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Power, Sound System, interior quality, value
Cons: no driving lights, rear headroom
The Bottom Line: Luxury ride, sports car handling and great detail

Great car looked at all the brands Lexus, Infinity, BMW etc. for the money nothing was better. don't waste time go for the "S" and hold on. Seats have better bolstering and the larger engine and tires make for a lot of fun. Easy access to the back seat ... read more

Pros: Exterior design Simplicity of interior Spacious trunk
Cons: Traction in winter weather Seats Stereo
I currently own this specific car. The first one that I owned was my first new car. Somebody pulled out in front of me on the highway, and I T-boned their SUV at about 45 mph. I thought that I was going to die, but I came away with minor injuries, mostly

Pros: Lots of power, tight control and very sporty!
Cons: Honda knows of the transmission problem and won't fix until it goes out.
Only buy if you know it has a new transmission put in it. I purchased a 2003 CL in April of 2003 and started having problems right away. The dealership wouldn't listen and this week my life was put at risk when the transmission went out on the freeway
