Pros: suspension, speakers, speed, look Cons: Gas mileage, a bit pricey The Bottom Line: Definitely consider this car.
With my coming of age to be getting my license, I, like every high school teen, needed a car. My parents saw my situation, so they let me "borrow" the car for the time being. I've been driving the 2003 Acura MDX for about a year now, and it treated me ...

Pros: Quality, reliability, fit and finish, ride, handling, comfort, ergonomics and updated electronics systems. Cons: The Acura dealers are a greedy bunch. Still sticker-price only. 2nd row seat should recline. The Bottom Line: Buy it, you'll love it. As a fickle car owner, I've loved this one for over four years and had two of them in that time.
The Acura MDX is the most unassuming, nimble, and cost-effective luxury SUV we can find. We traded our 01 for the 03 when Acura upped the horsepower and added a rear-view camera. After looking at the late-comers to this group, we still bought another MDX. ...

Pros: Smooth handling, roomy, plenty of standard features Cons: Gas mileage poorer than stated, no offroad capability The Bottom Line: A great SUV to take around town and drive, quality ride and materials lead to an "A" class SUV.
When shopping for a SUV there are several offerings in the Lux-ute category. The BMW X5 (3.0i,4.0i,4.4i,4.6i), Mercedes ML (350,500,AMG55), Lexus RX 330, Porsche Cayenne (S,TT), Acura MDX, and the Lexus GX 470. The Porsche is a tad bit pricey and...

Pros: Handling, Price, Features Cons: Fill up the gas tank often The Bottom Line: Best in Class.
We have owned our 2003 MDX for around 6 months. We purchased from the local dealer and we really couldnt negotiate much more than $1100 off list, dealer installed options at dealer cost, and we negotiated the extended warranty price down ...

Pros: Stereo rocks, acceleration great for an SUV, navigation is handy and accurate. Cons: no telescoping wheel, room behind 3rd row seat is only big enough for duffle bags The Bottom Line: Don't buy it. I want to enjoy the exclusivity of my MDX for awhile longer!
I looked at all the SUVs offering a third row before choosing the MDX. For the money it is by far the best on the market. You can't beat the reliability and resale value and the market hasn't been saturated with them yet. (i.e. Expedition) I agree with ...

Pros: Nice compact SUV for the money with a comfortable ride and lots of safety features. Cons: Lacks the dealers committment to customer satisfaction that one would expect for $50,000. car.
I bought the MDX fully loaded with all bells and whistles and my moonroof leaks everytime that I go through the carwash. The dealer (Acura of Memphis) has been less than helpful and a case manager for Acura USA suggested that the leaking moonroof is an acceptable standard for an automobile and that I wash my car myself from now on. The dealer is not at all what I expected from a friendly service perspective and in comparison with other dealers (BMW, Toyota, and Infiniti) not at all up to snuff!

Pros: Smooth ride, expensive-feeling & looking, great stereo, better gas mileage than reg sized SUV's, powerful! Cons: NONE!
I bought my 2003 Acura MDX Touring w/ Navi and I absolutely love it! I looked at so many mini SUV's and drove the lot of them but the MDX blew them all away. It is beautifully designed, not "space-aged"-cheap like the Nissan Murano. It is very comfortable, quiet ride, drives so smooth, the stereo sounds fabulous, spacious & sleek and the body design is very cool, not too square yet aerodynamic. If you want the feel and drive of a luxury car but the cargo and seating space of an SUV - well, the MDX is YOUR SUV! It's not THAT pricey - by a gently used MDX and get a great deal!

Pros: Styling, power, comfort and versatility Cons: Poorly made components, lack of dealership and corporate concern.
My wife and I bought our new 03 MDX with the touring package as well as about 5k in additional extras for a total of about $47k...The very night we drove it home we heard noises form the front end and from there it was down hill. We had to take it back to the dealer about 12 times for various problems until they finally got them repaired. I mean everything from the body to the steering wheel controls to the dvd monitor to the radio and now with 67k miles on it, the air conditioner has stopped working and they tell me that it's going to be $500-$600 to repair! I will not be buying another Acura and very well may trade this one in before I had plained on it on a Lexus. I know that all cars have some problems but with the multiple problems along with dealer incompetence and with no help from the corporate office this is a company I will not be doing business with again...!

Acura does not stand behind their product

Pros: Comfortable Cons: Poor Acura customer service
I have very low mileage on my car (37,000 miles in 5 years), but I have to completely replace my engine now.
Head gasket blew at 37,000 miles. Acura has not stood behind their vehicle. The dealer lied to us when we took it in to be fixed, and Acura corporate customer service has not made things right. I am very disappointed in Acura, since a major reason for purchasing this vehicle was the excellent reliability and customer service that Acura is SUPPOSED TO provide (but didn't here).
Sub par cd player, and you cannot put an aftermarket cd player in this year's model. You can't play burned disks in the cd player without messing it up, and you may have to replace the whole stereo if you do (as I had to last year)
Very comfortable seats, easy to get in and out of. The doors are not too heavy, which is unusual in an SUV.
