Pros: Tight handling, smooth acceleration, great brakes. comfy seats. Reliable. Cons: high insurance cost, road noise with certain tires. Tiny back seat. no middle arm rest. The Bottom Line: Perfect blend of a sports car, and a daily driver.
Upon picking up my 2003 Acura RSX Type S, one thing was obvious; this is the closest I've ever come to owning a practical car. Previously driving a Toyota MR2 Turbo, I grew acustomed to the rear wheel drive and exotic driving position of a pure sports ... read more

Pros: It's a Honda/Acura, Reliable, Dependable, Smoothe, Excellent Styling, Comfortable, Plenty of Torque! Cons: They stopped making these after 2006 =( The Bottom Line: Saying that this car is the best car ever would be an understatement.
My first Acura I ever bought was my 2003 Acura RSX Base (Not Type-S). Previously, I have been an avid Honda fan and I decided that it was time I try Honda's upper-end vehicles, an Acura. What brought me to the Acura RSX was it's sleek and stylish design, ... read more

Pros: handling, mileage, power, interior, style Cons: road noise, long trip comfort, safety (esp. no side-curtain airbags) The Bottom Line: With the base engine and automatic transmission, this sure isn't the sports car that the Type-S is, but it still makes for a fun and practical daily driver.
I purchased this car from a dealer a month ago with 62000 miles for about $12900. Mostly I was drawn to the highly regarded handling, which is sharp, with only a hint of body roll. After taking a test drive though, I was happy to find just enough ... read more

Pros: Power, interior, good bose sound system. Cons: Not as much character as the old integras. The Bottom Line: If you want a really fast balls out tuner car, this is the one for you.
I bought this car new in June of 2003 because my old 1995 Integra GSR got stolen. Otherwise I really don't think that I would have bought it. The fit and finish of the interior weren't as good as my old integra. The glove box rattled from day one ... read more

Pros: Looks, power, handling, auto climate control, sound system Cons: Requires premium fuel, rough ride, noisy highway speeds, needs deeper bass from sub. The Bottom Line: Perfect for the daily driver that wants to look forward to driving home.
POWER (Type-S) Compared to the average 4-banger, the engine rocks. Power delivery is very smooth and linear. Passing at any speed is predictable and confidence inspiring. If you are used to a six or eight cylinder engine, it will take some getting ... read more

Pros: Great gas mileage
Pepy city car
Nice drive
Awsome interior design Cons: Engine noise may offend the elderly
RPM guage hard to see for tall people The Bottom Line: Overall great design with minor complaints... I would recommend this car to anyone who can outright buy one.
And if u finance get a used one with lox kms.
I purchased my 2003 RSX TYPE-S November 12 2006. I choose the color blue without the spoiler. The car had aftermarket clear tailights already installed and they actually look natural. The Acura has 45000kms, was garage kept and lady driven. the car was ... read more

Pros: Quick throttle; rail-like handling; luxurious, practical interior; fun to drive; reliable Cons: Stock tires in the rain; Nothing else! The Bottom Line: If you're thinking of the car, get one, and get a Type S. The car is an all around winner.
I've had my RSX for about 3 years now and it's only gotten better since I first bought it new. I chose the Type S model with the 6 speed transmission because it was only a few thousand more than the Base model. I am very glad I chose to get this model ... read more

I have owned the following cars: Gremlin X, Mustang Cobra with a 350cu inch engine, 355 gears etc. BMW 325i, Toyota supercharged MR2, Volvo 850R. This is how the 2003 RSX Type S after driving it for more than a year fits in. (And don't ask why I'm ... read more

Pros: Fun drive, fast, nice dash, made for sport, nice interior with black leather Cons: squeaky brakes, start-up problems, blind spots, no projector lights, The Bottom Line: I don't regret buying it. Buy it brand new and take care of it. However, I believe the Acura makers are starting to fall asleep on the job.
I had 2 Integra's and now have the RSX. I like it, BUT I beleive the Intergras are better. I bought this car because I love the reliablity and the style I get for my money.I have always owned an Acura and I am a satisfied customer. However, I bought ... read more

Pros: versatile, fuel efficient, fast once wound up, great for interstate/highway driving Cons: premium fuel(Type S), stock tires awful in wet weather, disproportionately high insurance The Bottom Line: Look at the 2005 V6 Mustang & the Subaru WRX in addition to this. The insurance is cheaper. Sports cars should not come in FWD.
The Acura RSX Type S is a fascinating vehicle. Somehow, engineers managed to squeeze 200hp out of a motor that is only 2 liters in displacement. In doing so, the engineers also managed to get a vehicle that could get 34 mpg on the highway and has ... read more

Pros: Good Looks, Honda Reliability, Quick, Fast, Corners and stops like a race car. Cons: Potential to speed (but that is why we buy the Type S) The Bottom Line: I highly recommend the Type S, because it delivers on every promise to perform (and that it does well)
I must say up front that this is a very biased review. I've owned 2 Honda products (accord & prelude) and 1 Acura Integra. The RSX Type S is my 4th Honda product and by far the best. It is a real blast to drive and provides a fun factor well above 10. ... read more

I recently purchased a White Base Acura RSX, despite the fact that I'm a lot older than your typical buyer of this make and model. Coming from a late model Honda Accord Sedan, I can only say this baby ROCKS big time, and I would highly recommend this to a ... read more

Pros: Honda listened--many refinements Cons: where is that xtra 20 H.P being hidden? The Bottom Line: Superior quality, can't go wrong if you don't need off-the line acceleration. Re-sale value won't be as strong as past generation car. The dealers are discounting DEEP.
After owning a '97 Integra, driving it 135,000 hard miles over six years, having it give me not a day's trouble and getting a cash buyer 24 hours after I put it up for sale, I felt if I didn't at least consider the next-generation Integ, now known as the ... read more

Pros: Good value, Good car other than transmission. Cons: Fun to drive is gone due to problematic transmission.
After being a loyal Honda owner who has purchased at least 5 new Hondas, this one (a 2003 RSX) is the one to put an end to all that. The 5-speed transmission in my car grinds frequently for no reason and Honda is not doing anything to resolve the
