The 2003 BMW 325i is "The Ultimate Driving Machine"

by jo.com Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 10
Oct 18 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Drives like no other car I've driven or been in. Handles superbly. Decent gas mileage.
Cons: None- I want it!
The Bottom Line: You don't get much better than a BMW. They sell themselves because of the way they handle and their dependability.

I own a BMW 323is and love it. I would love even more a new car and one with 4 doors. The BMW 325i is what I am looking at and hopefully will buy as soon as I sell my current car. I am reviewing what ...

The BMW 325- A Great Car With One Huge Problem

by hwz1 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 50
Nov 23 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Affordable, BMW style and performance, options galore
Cons: A few minor complaints
The Bottom Line: A truly wonderful car with one big problem.

I have owned a BMW 325 for the past six years and have come to love the model. The 325 is relatively affordable and sporty, yet practical when it comes to most purposes. However, after six years with mine I began to notice a few things happening that...

Undeniably sexy and very refined, The 330 takes it to the next level...

by nick1326 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 100
Nov 06 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Broad, Capable power band, excellent handling, very refined, esepcially for 3 series
Cons: Must take a package (expensive), 3.0 is $$$ but worth it
The Bottom Line: A true driver's car - Despite additional cost, you get back alot more in engineering than in a Japanese model - the 330 is a winner!

When BMW changed the 3 series coupe body style to this latest design, they really turned up the heat - the car was an instant winner, had gobs of style, an excellent suspension and just looked the part of a super star...However at that point, top notch...

325iT -- The Ultimate Wagon!

by theinnergeek
Nov 06 '03 - Updated Feb 18 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Sports car-like handling, sports sedan-like performance. Superb ergonomics. And all that CARGO SPACE!
Cons: Very high MSRP -- buy pre-owned! Not as capacious as some may need/want.
The Bottom Line: A fantastic alternative to a minivan or, especially, an SUV. Just watch the price.

Background My wife and I are expecting our first child in November (I am writing this in early November 2003), and we decided we needed a new vehicle. We owned two Acuras at the time: an old Integra hatchback and a '96 3.2TL sedan. The Integra ...

If only they made a 330 wagon...

by davlav,
Aug 15 '05 - Updated Dec 18 '06

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Great handling, styling, ride, did I mention great handling?
Cons: Utilitarian interior, weak acceleration w/ auto, some reliability troubles
The Bottom Line: If this car had the 330 engine, sport package, and/or a manual transmission I'd want this as my car.

My wife’s the kind of person that will drive a car until it drops. The kind of person that views getting a new vehicle as a 10-year commitment. But in 2003 when we found ourselves with a baby on the way, she had to finally admit that it was time to ...

The BMW 325xi -- A Sportscar That Drives Safely

by bhweb22 Epinions Most Popular Authors - Top 500
Apr 11 '03 - Updated Apr 12 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: 325 XI gives you sporty feel, but has added all wheel drive stability
Cons: not as peppy as the 328i model
The Bottom Line: I wanted to get a car that while still sporty, was safe in bad weather as my wife and I plan a family. The BMW325xi fits the bill nicely.

A few years ago, I leased a BMW 328i. I loved the car - here's the old review . It was the perfect size for me and my then girlfriend. Although the trunk was not huge, it was serviceable, and...

The BMW 325i - Everything I Could Want in a Car!

by martinichick
Nov 15 '03 - Updated Nov 16 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Style/Looks, Comfort, Conveniences, Handling, Warranty, Roadside Assistance
Cons: Unnecessary Car Phone Controls, Brake Dust
The Bottom Line: I would highly recommend the BMW 3-Series to anyone who loves a fun ride that is also comfortable and very stylish!

Just a forewarning, this review is not going to be technical and talking about horsepower, torque and all of that. I am a female who loves nice cars, but I love them for their style and comfort, not necessarily what lies under the hood (with a few except ...

Fun, versatile car

by socalh2oskier
Feb 04 '03 - Updated Sep 06 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Everything! This car is fantastic!!! Handling is incredible, even w/o sport pkg.
Cons: Tilt steering could drop down further; No lumbar adjustment? Awkward stereo controls.
The Bottom Line: SPEND THE $$$. YOU WILL NOT REGRET IT!!!

I have a 2003 325 convertible. It is an absolutely amazing vehicle. This car is a joy to "scoot" around town with, the handling is first-rate, and the ride is smooth--not at all harsh. You could cruise all day and be comfortable. The car is extremel ...

An Excellent Car Competing Against Other Excellent Cars

by jakemj8402
May 15 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Overall Handling, Ride, Power Delivery, Fit & Finish, Safety
Cons: Price, Insurance, Value, Questionable Ergonomics
The Bottom Line: All cars in this class offer a lot, the real question is: What do you want? A sporting German sedan or value packed trouble-free Japanese model?

Appearance:
To say the least the styling of the three series didn't exactly blow me away. However, I was rather pleased that BMW avoided the trendy styling that other manufactures have resorted to. While not a showstopper, the three series has...

Best in class

by mikebarr
Dec 30 '02 - Updated Jan 02 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Performance. Styling. Ergonomics.
Cons: Lack of storage space. Weak sound system.
The Bottom Line: I shopped them all, and it always came back to the BMW. It cost more, but it is worth it.

BMW touts itself as the ultimate driving machine, and I won't argue. Four years ago I bypassed a 3 in lieu of a Japanese car and regretted it almost immediately. This time, I made the right move. It is worth the money.

First off, unless you...

Cruisin' round with my top down

by shlevine
May 08 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: handsome, grippy, lux interior, superb top, valet cachet, great resale
Cons: horrible blind spots, mildly annoying climate control, so-so stereo (H/K)
The Bottom Line: It's a great car. I can buy it at lease end and sell it for a $5k profit. And the damned thing just makes me look hot!

I leased a 2003 325iC (convertible) at the end of March '03, just moments before they shut the flow of '03s and started shipping '04s. I did this because the '04 will have more stylized (and uglier) sport wheels and scalloped headlight surrounds that my...

Undeniably, the ultimate driving machine!

by cmicahjohnson
Jan 20 '08 - Updated Feb 10 '08

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Acceleration: 5sp; available options; handling; ride; rain sensing wipers
Cons: Rear seat entry/exit; programmable options available at dealership only; trunk space
The Bottom Line: Highly recommended to anyone looking for a lively, entry-level luxury car with a sports car feel. The driving experience is second to none and typical of the BMW reputation.

In the past, I have been a die hard Honda fan. But, through unfortunate (or maybe fortunate) circumstance, I have had the opportunity to upgrade to the 2003 BMW 325ci. I have always admired it from a far and appreciated the styling cues that are ...

the low optioned model is a bargain

by rodremington
Jun 23 '03 - Updated Jun 24 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Driving dynamics, styling, price point for the low-optioned version, service included
Cons: price-point for heavily optioned model is too high, back seat small
The Bottom Line: Go for the low optioned version unless money is no object, you get all the joy of the fabulous straight six and handling characteristics but for 10k less.

I was looking for a solid drivers car that could get me around, be fun to drive, and still accomodat ...

One way to get your spouse to let you buy this car.

by doctorisom
Jun 04 '03 - Updated Jun 06 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Most enjoyable car you will ever drive/own for a reasonable price
Cons: repairs are somewhat costly, but rarely needed.
The Bottom Line: You'll never want another make after you own your first Bimmer. Comfortable, classic style, less expensive than most unwieldly SUVs and a lot more fun on the corners.

I've owned my 2001, 325i BMW for almost 3 years now. Am I happy I paid a little more for my vehicle than other cars I researched? Definitely yes. The way to get your spouse to let you purchase the car. Get them in a test drive and take it out on the...

I did not buy to become a BMW person... But Wow

by ohiomiller
Jun 11 '06

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Fast, Feel of Control and Safety, Great Service and Value
Cons: More Trunk and backseat Space
The Bottom Line: Great car for work and driving my family around in. You will feel safe and maybe even "cool" in this car

I recently bought this car used from Kelly BMW in Columbus OH and everything went very well. I got the 325xi with AWD drive because our winters can see some snow. Coming from a Toyota Camry, which I enjoyed, the driving style is very different. I felt ...
