I Really Wanted A Sports Car....

by rwpeckham
Aug 29 '07

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Everything! I've had it for a month and have put it through it paces. WOW!
Cons: The speedometer is difficult to read in daylight. The trunk lid is difficult to open.
The Bottom Line: This car is a true "cross-over" vehicle. It has all the excitement and response of a sports car wrapped in beautiful decadent luxury typical of Cadillac.

All my life I had dreamed of owning a real sports car. You know, 2 seater, fast, eye-catcher (chic magnet), and gently used. I test drove several but in each one I felt cramped and closed in. I don't know what I was expecting, but I didn't find it. ...

CTS Makes the grade

Apr 24 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Cadillac finally seems to be serious about where they want to be in the marketplace.
Cons: Engine noise should be worked on. This car should be standard with 17" wheels.
The Bottom Line: Great Design, well thought out control console. This car is now a major competitor in the price range of the CTS. Cadillac should be excited about this car.

GM and Cadillac has finally got their act together to compete with the rest of the world. The styling and features for the most part have been well thought out and Cadillac has taken a bold move with their drastic designs of this car. This is my 5th...

Style AND Performance

by yourstruly
Nov 22 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: *Excellent* handling; head-turner; comfortable seats; fun to drive; good MPG; great sound system
Cons: Snow pusher - even among other rear wheel drive vehicles, this one really underperforms.
The Bottom Line: Best Handling in Class

I must admit, I was initially attracted to this vehicle because of its style. It still is a head-turner, two years after purchasing it. However, what I really love about this car is the performance and handling. As far as handling goes, you would be ...

Jul 09 '02 - Updated Jul 25 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Exciting to drive, sporty with a great interior; Young and fresh
Cons: Glove compartment is small;
The Bottom Line: Sporty, sexy, young and fresh. A car with a personality. No other car looks the same! A must-have if you like to stand out!

I just bought the CTS "luxury" model this month. It is sporty and classy. It is definitely a head-turner. I was waiting for Cadillac to come out with a younger, more vivacious looking car and that is what the CTS is. It has great pick up and when you...

Nice Car - Glad I got it

by scion
Dec 15 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Powerful, uniqe stand-out design, great handling and nice interior
Cons: Crummy base stereo, bit loud inside, bad rear leg room, really ugly rims
The Bottom Line: Other than the truly crummy base sound system I like the car a lot. Bad rims, a few missing touches, poor options packages for price.

Other than the truly crummy base sound system I like the car a lot. The way the options are packaged it was imposible to simply get a better stereo and rear folding seat without getting a bunch of stuff I didn't want to pay for. Almost stopped me from...

Headlamps- beware

by twenty2
Oct 10 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The only mad max machine on the market.
Cons: Headlamps and GM Customer Assistance
The Bottom Line: The CTS is a great car if you only use it as a day car. With only 600 miles on it, I can't say too much else.

You can read about the CTS from all the other comments, ie: styling, engine, handling, etc. I want all to be aware that there is a design problem with the headlamps on the CTS. With low beams on, a definite shadow/bar is seen. It looks like a boomerang...

CTS a lemon

by stockman1
Jan 13 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Nice looking design, nice ergonomics.
Cons: Beware of the AC leaking into the cabin and flooding the interior. This is common!
The Bottom Line: the car is a lemon

My CTS flooded due to the AC draining inside the car.
This seems to be a common problem as I speak to more owners.

The seat tracks rusted, and the wire harness got wet.

The sunroof was replaced, the oil cooler leaked...

Oct 24 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: handling, styling, service, base price
Cons: option pricing
The Bottom Line: This is an exciting car, any way you slice it. With it had tinted windows because I've got a permanent goofy smile on my face while driving it.

Wow. I never thought I could love a car this much.

I will always remember the first time I laid eyes on the Evoq concept car--the prototype for the new Sigma architecture at Cadillac. I was living in New York at the time, and I simply...

Exciting Disappointment

Sep 04 '02

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 1.0 Recommended: No

Pros: GREAT LOOKING CAR...FUN TO DRIVE
Cons: BAD QUALITY...LEAKING WINDSHIELD..FLOODED CAR...Now RUINED and no help offered from GM
The Bottom Line: DON'T BUY THIS OR ANY CADILLAC

I can only say a few words about the CTS. After purchasing in Feb 02, I was thrilled with the looks, comfort, and drive of this car. But that excitement has now turned to anger, frustration, and TOTAL DISSATISFACTION with GM & Cadillac. The car has been...

Cadillac... Standard of... not much

by dhmassage
Sep 12 '05

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 2.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Looks, radio
Cons: NO substance. cheap interior, expesive options. Does not feel special.
The Bottom Line: If you are a complete label queen buy a Cadillac, otherwise buy a Toyota.

what a sucker. Once again, in Cadillac we see the worst of American spirit and advertising. I really, really, wanted to believe that this was a special car. I went out and bought a 2003 CTS. It has a few upgrades like the wood trim and the larger ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Quite fast, sounds awesome. Five speed is a sweet, sweet thing.
Cons: I can't afford one.
The Bottom Line: The best Cadillac in years, maybe ever.

I was quite pleasantly surprised the first time I pressed the accelerator on the CTS featured at my work. The sound blew me away. The Cadillac is like none I had ever heard before, very impressive. Like they actually wanted you to hear it. The...

2003 Cadillac CTS.
by hihenning

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Styling and engine power
Cons: Cheez-ee Dash appearance
Wow, what a car. I've sold cars for the past 20 years and this is by far one of the nicest cars I've ever driven...
Lots of umphhhh and smooth ride and corners like its on rails.( coined from the Movie with Julia Roberts and Richard Gere---you know which one heehee )...

The Styling is incredible, it looks futuristic... Im a little disapointed in the dash. It should reak of luxury, instead it looks plastic-ee and something you would expect in a Chevrolet... Up side is: Go to Ebay and order the dash kit in a wood grain color, then it will look like a CADILLAC... ( I just ordered mine this morning, cant wait till its here) I usually dont get excited by cars or trucks, cause Ive seen, owned so many,,, but this actually excites me... Take care...

White Diamond or Cubic Zirconia
by gillnitt
Sep 30 '03
Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes
Pros: Nice ride, easy handling, good sound for a standard system.
Cons: If you want White Diamond expect an inferior paint job.
I love the unique styling - that is why I bought it.
This car looks best in the White Diamond color - however this diamond misses the mark on clarity. The paint on the doors is blotchy - or as the dealership calls it - mottled. When I said the roof, hood and trunk are fine I was told if I saw it from the right direction they too would be blotchy.

What a shame for such a nice car to have such an inferior paint job! I am astounded that Cadillac's only response was, "All White Diamond paint jobs are like that. The clear coat over the mica makes them that way."

I expected more pride in workmanship from this company.
