Pros: Affordable, good gas mileage, dependable, A/C Cons: Didn't come with an alarm theft system or keyless entry. The Bottom Line: It's a great, reliable car for someone who is in school or college. A dependable, good looking car with good gas mileage that's good for a first time buyer.
For the past 5 or 6 years now, I've been driving around in a 1997 Saturn SL1. Normally, they are supposed to be good running, dependable cars. My mom, however, has been having trouble with it for about the past 3 years or so from checking the oil more ...

The Bottom Line: Not recommended because of its poor handling, poor quality control, and average gas mileage. There are many good alternatives available.
This is a review of a 2003, base model 4-door sedan, Chevrolet Cavalier with an automatic transmission. It is based almost entirely on an extensive one-week rental. Usually, I would be hesitant to review a product after such a limited amount of time ...

In March of 2003, I had a dilemma: I had a 2002 Silverado 2500 diesel and needed to get into a smaller, fuel efficient car. The reason: A big change in jobs. Instead of the need for a big truck in my profession, I found myself working downtown having a ...

Pros: inexpensive, quick acceleration, ABS brakes Cons: poor layout, cramped interior, lack of quality The Bottom Line: In economy or performance, you can do better elsewhere.
This is basically a cheap, disposable car.
Disclaimer: We don't own this car. It was a rental for two weeks as our
Camry was being repaired.
This car has very few positive points, so I will get them out of the way first.
The Cavalier's greatest assets are it's...

Pros: Sporty appearance, affordable, reliable, safe. Cons: No luxury, Not powerful. The Bottom Line: I would recommend it only for a single or couple. Not roomy enough for a family. Good for short commutes, and tooling around town. Short road trips. Affordable.
I purchased a 2003 Chev Cavalier LS Sport. It had power windows, locks, ac, keyless entry, and sporty wheels, and spoiler. I have the sedan. Coming from a 99 Pont. Sunfire, the gas mileage isn't as good, but acceptable. Power lags on hills. ...

I have owned my 2003 Cavalier since May of 05' and I really have no complaints about it. Sure the interior could be a little nicer, the seats are made of cheap material and I'm not a fan of the plastic rattles but come on now how much did you pay for ...

Alternator Placement (haven’t had to change though)
The Bottom Line: I tested many cars and I found this car is for me. However you should also look into a civic. It was a toss up for me.
I bought this car in august and have since put on over 7000km, and I have yet to have any major problems with it. However when I bought it the front bushing needed replacement due to a slight squeaking. This cost nothing and was repaired very quickly. ...
