Pros: Can do anything, go anywhere, transport everyone. Very dependable. Cons: Parking due to size; fueling takes a while due to 29 gal. gas tank. The Bottom Line: The 2003 Suburban offers everything a family needs including room, capability, and dependability. Definitely consider as an option if looking for a large SUV.
After we had our first child (and already had a dog), we knew we needed a larger SUV to cart ourselves around in. Our other SUV was fine but getting too small. We settled on a 2003 Suburban 1500 LT, though "settled" may not be ... read more

Pros: XM ONSTAR 6cd changer Heated Seats Adjustable pedals Driver information Center Sunroof, comfort Cons: Gas mileage, expensive to repair electronics that go bad. Wind noise. The Bottom Line: I would reccommend this vehicle, its great- but get a GM warranty for any repairs. Gas stinks (duh). Tons of space!
This 2003 Chevrolet Suburban Z71 4x4 was A W E S O M E! It had so many standard features that the 2000-2002 models did not offer. For 2003, they added a more square steering wheel/horn cover, with steering wheel controls that controlled the ONSTAR, ... read more

Pros: Comfort, XM radio, OnStar, ample cargo room. Cons: NO CONS. The Bottom Line: General Motors puts together the longest lasting cars on road regardless what Ford's commercials say.
I had the chance of renting an 03 black Z71 suburban with leather and XM radio. My 03 Expedition was being fixed at the time and I knew I was going to have to rent an Suv. When I got to the rental store I had the choice of a Durango, Expedition, or ... read more

Pros: Easier to park than my PT Cruiser & nearly the same mileage. Features galore Cons: Of course, fuel economy, but you knew that already. The Bottom Line: This car is the best investment I have ever made. With zero percent financing for 5 years, it was a no-brainer. Bought online for $100 over dealer invoice.
I have had many new cars. Explorer, Jeep Wranger, PT Cruiser and now the 03 Suburban. By far, this is the most comfortable, easiest to drive and best investment I have made. I did a lot of homework before I bought. Edmunds.com was a wealth of ... read more

Pros: Smooth, quiet, powerful. This vehicle is versatile and comfortable. Cons: Mileage with the 8.1 engine and 4.10 rear axle. The Bottom Line: GM knows how to make this vehicle and it has not messed it up. Its quiet, comfortable and smooth on our long trips with 4 adults.
This is our second 2500 series Suburban. Both loaded with equipment. Both were intended to tow a heavy boat and travel trailer and for lots of people. Our first was a 1993 that went for 134,000 miles, largely trouble free. It was a very ... read more

Pros: Just seeing the smile on my wife's face when she drives it is enough. Cons: Right now I have no complaints, I got what I wanted in a vehicle. The Bottom Line: I recommend this vehicle. I have owned 30 English, German, Japanese and American vehicles, the Suburban is equal to or better than any of them. The grandkids love it!
Our first Suburban and we are very happy with it. It is so comfortable that we end up driving it all the time. It will have over 20,000 miles in the first year. Bought new with a $7,000.00 discount. Had a bad switch in the odometer control and air ... read more

Pros: Interior space, engines, cargo/towing capacity, lots of standard features Cons: Number of options available (and difficulty in finding matches on dealer lots), GM reliability stinks The Bottom Line: capable vehicle if you need to haul or tow significant loads and people but it would be wise to sell/trade it in before you're out of warranty!
My wife and i have been in the market for a new family vehicle for a while. For the last year, we've discussed/debated and even argued about the choices. To judge a vehicle like this, you must understand the market it was intended for, hence I'll ... read more

Pros: Space, Great Looks, Towing Cons: Gas- But that is expected The Bottom Line: We owned a 1998 Chevy Tahoe. I loved that vehicle. Chevy has made several great improvements over the last 5 years. So far we are extremely happy with this SUV!!
We looked at several vehicles in this class.
Chevy meets all our need with this. We plan to pull a camper, boat or small trailers with this in the future.
Our family is three right now, and hopefully with some help from above we can grow to ... read more

Pros: A LOT OF ROOM FOR YOU AND YOUR GEAR Cons: POOR WORKMANSHIP AND LACK OF POWER
The new model does not look like an evolution of the old model. I am very disappointed by the way they built it using poor materials. The metal sheet is very soft, we are always worried when parking by other cars that will dent our doors when opening
