Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Very Roomy, nice seat warmers.
Cons: Many Many repairs. Not very reliable.
The Bottom Line: My recommendation: Stay far far away from this vehicle. Use my experience as one in many experience owners have had.

I have always owned Toyota or Honda vehicles. When we were looking to buy- we were looking at the Toyota Sequoia. Shortly after arriving on the lot we realized we could not afford one. We went to a Chevy dealership and drove a Tahoe... LOVED IT- but ... read more

Dec 30, 2006 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 20 Recommended: No

Pros: good looks, decent cargo space when rear seat is folded down
Cons: poor quality and low mileage when towing
The Bottom Line: Good looking but to many problems that are poor quality and just bad design

The LTZ was bought new for $5000.00 under sticker with no extended warranty , big mistake. The suv had a lot of problems right a way that seems to be common, the AC switch went out on me in traffic when it was a 100 degrees. Then both tail lights ... read more

Dec 23, 2005 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Onstar is a positive, and the engine is solid and responsive.
Cons: There are a lot of cons see my review above.
The Bottom Line: I'm not satisfied at all with the vehicle. Too many problems, and I wish I would have never bought it.

I would not recommend this vehicle to my worst enemy. I have had numerous problems with this SUV. The tailgate has a terrible design, which has caused a lot of trouble. It has also shown how poor the service department, and PR department is at my local ... read more

I'd buy one again.

by
Jun 30, 2005 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Spacious, stylish, homelink, onstar available, powerful. Decent handling for a big vehicle.
Cons: Gas mileage, rear gate spoiler design, visibility out back window w/3rd row seats up.
The Bottom Line: I'd buy one again and will. A few of my friends have bought them since, and they like it too.

I like they styling, it's look appeals to me. The truck is big enough for our four kids and some friends, travels well, handles our trailering needs. Plenty of room in the rear two seats for I'd say up to preteens, early teens. Our oldest two moved to ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Masculine look; strong, smooth engine; smooth, compliant ride
Cons: Sub-par interior plastics
The Bottom Line: The TrailBlazer bridges the gap between the Equinox and Tahoe and has the power to leave the competition in the dust.

July 2003 saw my wife's '93 Honda Accord meet an untimely demise when a teenage drive smashed the front end of it because she thought she had the right-of-way. Fortunately, my wife and son (who were in the car at the time of the accident) were unharmed, ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Smooth and powerful engine. Rides smooth and comfortably. Cargo room. Larger size hitch. 4WD. Braking.
Cons: The gas mileage is not as good as advertised. Could use more/larger compartments.
The Bottom Line: So far so good. Had it almost six months and have yet to test it in snow. So far I I love it.

I researched numerous SUVs before I bought my 2004 Trailblazer EXT LT. I had my choice narrowed down to the Trailblazer EXT and the Honda Pilot. I like the sporty look of the Trailblazer EXT but my deciding factor was that the Pilot didn't offer full ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: IT LOOKED NICE
Cons: IN THE SHOP 9 TIMES IN 10 MONTHS
The Bottom Line: If GM knows of these defects, then they know someone is going to die or be seriously hurt!!!! Its Roulette!

Service tech informed me that GM is AWARE OF THESE DEFECTS! This was my dream truck - right off the showroom floor - SIGH... with 5 miles on it I immediately noticed problems - squeeking from the front tires... took it in and they said it was bad break ... read more

May 23, 2003 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: The seating height is wonderful for the elderly or handicapped.
Cons: Some wind noise.
The Bottom Line: With General Motors great rebates and financing the Trailblazer is a fine choice.

One of the major problems with cars today is that they are so low to the ground. When you are young this does not matter, but as you age it becomes increasingly difficult to get in and out of cars, and at any age if you have a hip or back condition it ... read more

Blazing A New Trail

by
Feb 5, 2003 - Updated Oct 23, 2005 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Good power from I-6 engine, vastly improved dashboard, roomy interior
Cons: Fuel economy, more options on LS model, please?
The Bottom Line: Representing a marked improvement over the previous generation of mid-size SUVs, I would not hesitate to recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for a solidly built family vehicle.

I should note before I begin that I am a dyed-in-the-wool Chevy fan. In fact, the only thing I have ever driven is a General Motors product save for the last new van that I bought - a disastrous Plymouth Voyager that I purchased new in 1995 and that gave ... read more

Chevy Trailblazer

by
Aug 30, 2002 (A Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 10 Recommended: No

Pros: Perfect size. Strong engine. Comfortable seats.
Cons: Problem prone. Poor build quality. Rattles. Creaks. Shakes.
The Bottom Line: If you want true quality, buy an import. If you want price and respectable quality, think Jeep.

The Trailblazer is GM's first attempt at competing head to head with the Explorer and Grand Cherokee. The inline six is strong, but mated to a mediocre transmission. There have been many problems with the 2002 model and nothing seems to have changed ... read more

I've had my Trailblazer for nearly four years now. It's a great riding SUV, gas mileage is so-so, I average 17mpg. It's an excellent tow vehicle. I tow a 19' bass boat at nearly 3000 pounds and I don't even know it's there. We also tow a 17' hybrid ... read more
