Pros: Great gas mileage with plenty of storage space Cons: The hips are very pronounced and draws away from the elegance of the vehicle The Bottom Line: If I were to go back and begin looking for another vehicle for some strange reason, I would immediately look at another Envoy first!
Envoy, as described on dictionary.com says that envoy means “acting as a diplomat, but under an ambassador”. This particular vehicle definitely embodies that of a diplomat; refined, controlled, and styled. I purchased this vehicle a while back, ...

Pros: Comfortable, good handling, powerful seats 6 or more Cons: Drivers Information Center does not offer all features included with Sierra pickup The Bottom Line: In our opinion the Envoy XL is the class leader for comfort, roominess, acceleration and features. Do your own comparisons and see.
We decided to replace my wife's two door Honda Accord with something more suitable for child seats and car pooling. After driving my pickup truck my wife found she liked the extra height and road handling qualities of truck type vehicle. But she was ...

Pros: Smooth engine, nicely designed interior and exterior Cons: None The Bottom Line: Buy this vehicle if you want a roomy, powerful, stylish SUV for the family.
We were very pleased with GM's newly redesigned replacement series for the ailing S-10 platform SUV's. GM really did great in both the powertrain and styling areas of this vehicle. For this vehicle, GM introduced the new Vortec(R) 4200 L-6 engine. ...

Pros: Performance, power, style. Cons: Low clearance, gas, price. The Bottom Line: If you want to spend in the $35,000 for an SUV with third row seating, this is your vehicle.
First off I purchased the vehicle for $34,500 in June of 2003. I also took $3,500 in rebates to bring it down to ($31,000). I also utilized the GM supplier discount. The discount is not that great but saves you on destination charges and a little off the...

Pros: Everything. Very thoughtfully designed machine. Top notch materials, solid feel to all controls. Cons: Needs rear park assist sensors, motorized folding exterior mirrors and rear heated seats. The Bottom Line: Best SUV on the road. Quiet, comfortable, responsive, great mileage, solid in manufacture and craftmanship.
This is one of the most pleasing "cars" to drive and handle you could ask for. Enough smaller than a suburban to make it easy to park and drive, but still large enough to handle 6 to 7 people for a few day trip. If you need to haul 6 or 7 people and a ...

Pros: RIDE,POWER,COMFORT,ROOM, EASY TO DRIVE AND PARK, GREAT ON LONG TRIPS. Cons: FREQUENT REPAIRS, POOR GAS MILEAGE The Bottom Line: consider this vehicle to be average, Comfort, convenience and functionality, this is what makes it a desirable SUV. The amount of repairs are a concern after warranty runs out
25000 ON VEHICLE: The Envoy handling took a little getting used too, at first it felt a little top heavy, which it is, but we soon learned to drive accordingly. Now we never give the top heaviness a thought. The vehicle handles great, we just take the ...

Pros: Great size, plenty of power. Smooth and quiet. Doesn't handle like a truck. Rides great. Cons: So so gas mileage, but that was expected. We get around 20-21 on the highway. The Bottom Line: We really love this truck. The size is just right. It handles great and is very quiet. Has plenty of power. We have had no problems with it!
This was the first Envoy that we have bought. We bought this new in Dec '02. We are extremely happy with it. We have since added another child so we just bought a '04 Envoy XL which seats 7. The standard length Envoy seats 5. We bought the SLE 4x4. ...

Pros: Ride, Power, Towing, Heated Seats Cons: Bose 6-Disc Changer, DVD Player does not play over the radio, automatic temperature control. The Bottom Line: I do not recommend purchasing this vehicle. If you do, go over it with a fine toothed comb before money is on the table.
I've had my 2003 GMC Envoy XL for about 1.5 years now and have not been too impressed with the quality/price ratio. There are a few issues that I just can't seem to get fixed or answered (see below), but it seems to be a pretty solid vehicle other than ...

Pros: German-like feel, spacious interior, great turning radius, decent acceleration. Cons: No visual navigation system, feature buttons are archaic. Low gas mileage. The Bottom Line: If you like SUV's and you don't mind the low gas mileage (I'm averaging 16 miles to the gallon) than buy this car.
Reluctantly I purchased my first American owned vehicle in 10 years. In the last 10 years I have been fortunate enough to drive mostly German-Engineered vehicles. In fact, after driving the Mercedes ML 430 for 2 years and liking that car for many...

Pros: Incredibly smooth ride, roominess, capabilities, features features features! Cons: Eats gas (duh). The Bottom Line: It's a tad pricey, but it definitely fits the product. One ride and you'll see the Envoy is a superb buy.
First off, this review is of a 2003 GMC Envoy SLT that is fully-loaded at about $34,500. If this is too pricey, look elsewhere.
