Pros: Still looks great on the outside & roomy on inside Cons: Total loss as an investment or dependable affordable transportation. The Bottom Line: Would not recommend model or Honda. Huge oil consumption problem at 57,000 miles. Inadequate servicing recommendations. Now they are sticking me with needed $6,000 engine short block replacement!
I loved this car, how it looked, how it handled, its get up and go - great for a 4 cylinder. Some brake problems were covered by warranty. The car started using excessive oil around 57,000 miles & I had to have the oil changed while on vacation as it ...

Pros: Power - Handling. Cons: $27K mistake. BIG MISTAKE. The Bottom Line: Don't do it. Run away.
I am so frustrated by this car I am just about in tears. I've had so many problems. 1. Transmission went out. Dangerously went out. I was driving down the highway and it would just shift into nuetral. Honda replaced the transmission under recall... ...

Pros: Styling Cons: Service, Quality, Noise The Bottom Line: Do not purchase this vehicle!
Honda service is not what it used to be and the quality has taken a back seat as well.
My experience has not been a good one with my 2003 Honda Accord. I have owned the vehicle for 4 months and have had four repairs on my vehicle and one issue still open. This is my fourth Honda that I've owned and cannot believe the poor quality and...

Pros: Interior & exterior fit and finish, 5 speed auto, abundance of features. Cons: Hard leather seats, not enough leg room, noisy tires, poor handling. The Bottom Line: This is a disappointment of a vehicle and I would not recommend it. The quality is not up to Honda standards and the interior ergonomics need significant improvements.
I was so looking forward to this car after driving a Pontiac Grand Prix for over 12 years. All of the reviews praised the quality and features and this was to be a refined car beyond its price range. After test driving it, I was initially impressed when ...

Pros: V6 with auto trans gets up and goes. Cons: You want complaints? We got 'em. The Bottom Line: I wouldn't consider our Accord a lemon, but it's close. In the end, we are very disappointed with it and after owning it 18 months, have decided to sell it.
If you like taking your car in for service, buy an Accord. My wife and I owned two Civics for better than ten years and never once did we take them in for service. Her Accord has been back to the dealer (52 mile round trip) at least seven times. First, ...

Pros: Power, comfort, brakes are FANTASTIC, nice level of equipment for price. Cons: Poor reliability, poor quality, too many service visits. The Bottom Line: Great car if you can verify that the one you might buy has had the multitude of service fixes required.
Note: This review applies to the Accord Coupe with the V-6, Navigation, and 6-speed manual transmission. Since this is the only Honda Accord model (sedan or coupe) that is equipped with the sport-tuned suspension, your impression may vary if ...

Pros: Excellent gas mileage for a V6 and lots of power. Cons: Rattles and buzzes, no cloth interior option with V6 and moonroof. The Bottom Line: I do not recommend this car due to the uncomfortable seats and numerous squeaks and rattles.
I purchased the 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan in August of 2003. After driving strictly Honda and Acura products for over 20 years and being a rabid Honda fan, I feel let down by the quality of this new Accord. The 240 hp from the V6 engine is great; ...

Pros: Fun to drive, good looks, lots of room Cons: very poor build quality. Terrible brake design. Seat acts as a reverse lint brush! The Bottom Line: Find someone who owns one (at a mall) with at least 30k and a similar driving style and ask them about it. I wish I bought the mazda6 now.
Let me start by saying that I love my accord despite it's many flaws. It is by no means typical of Honda, and I am not sure I will ever buy another after this. This car has a very well laid out interior it is very pleasant to drive and is extremely ...

Pros: Controls Cons: Hard seats
Uncomfortable ride on road trips The Bottom Line: If you want this car, I recommend test driving it for at least 30-45 minutes at highway speeds.
I put this car through a 5 minute test drive and could tell the ride was a little rough. However, after I purchased the car and spent 30 minutes at 70 miles per hour, I knew I made a mistake. After 60 minutes, every little bump vibrated through my body...

Pros: Fast, V6 is probably more power than the average driver needs Cons: Poor fit and finish; noisy interior; quality is missing; problems consistent with American cars The Bottom Line: No more Hondas for me. I'm going back to Mazda. I've owned 5 in my life and never a problem.
My first Honda. Very excited. What stories I've heard of exceptional quality and reliability. Never a bad report on a Honda. Whoa! Wait a minute. The car I bought has a Honda badge on it. Could it be a GM in disguise? First problem: feedback in ...

Pros: Peppy 4cyl, fuel efficient, smooth transmission Cons: Uncomfortable in many ways, stereo not perfect The Bottom Line: Shop around and you'll be pleasantly surprised with it's competitors.
In history, the greatest warriors always fall in battle. The Honda Accord is one that has had a great run being one of the front runners in the midsized army and now it is time for its reign to end. No this car is not aweful by any means, but it ...

Pros: Comfortable seats, nice leather, great stereo Cons: Squeaks, rattles, feels heavy The Bottom Line: Noises shouldn't be present in a new car...if you agree, then be wary of this vehicle.
Car Reviewed: Accord Coupe V6 with Nav
I'll start with the negatives of this car since it's the bugs you usually notice in a car; the good is sublime:
Cons:
The workmanship of this Accord is surprisingly poor compared to...

Pros: Good mileage, attractive, good climate control and cruise control, good brakes Cons: Rattles and buzzes - Shaky quality control - Really bad windshield wipers The Bottom Line: They have production issues - be sure to drive on rough roads to check for rattles. I've driven 2 Accords and both had rattles that were unacceptable.
My 5th Honda replaces a Hyundai Sonata (unreliable!) but is not without it's problems. The center console door would not open and now rattles constantly unless I push my knee into it. Early Marysville Accords (mine is one) had bad window seals so all 4 o ...

rattles at 60k poor quality
leather cracking
The Bottom Line: If you can get a great deal with warranty, get
the 4 cyl, but its not a luxury car, no matter
how the try and sell it to you.
In Dec 2005, I purchased a nice 2003 Honda Accord EX with Nav (4 cyl) I have all work done at a HONDA/ACURA dealer in Frisco, TX. I love honda for there reliability, good gas mileage, and over-all resale value. But hate the little things about ...
