2003 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan

by chewk2
Dec 28 '06 - Updated Dec 31 '06

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Economical, performing V6. Low maintenance cost, excellent resale. Safe, highly drive-able, good highway commuter.
Cons: Marginal leather seat comfort, steering wheel to driver ergonomics and head clearance. Quirky transmission engagement.
The Bottom Line: A trouble-free, economical, performing V6 GT Sedan. Buy it with confidence. It's not a BMW, Lexus or Infiniti, but is a close enough approximation for my needs and affordability.

I purchased my 2003 Honda Accord EX V6 sedan in August of 2003. After driving strictly GMs/Fords, a Mazda and a Datsun Z, I tried a Honda for the first time. My GMs have almost all failed me, and I was ready for a change. I am still enjoying it almost ...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Reliable, Honda reputation for quality, nice interior
Cons: Ugly styling on the rear, buck-tooth front end, no power from 4-cylinder
The Bottom Line: This is a nice car, but could use a little more power in the 4 cylinder version. The exterior could use a little redesign too.

A few months back, my girlfriend and I decided to go look for a car to replace her old Corolla. She decided to wait until this new 2003 Accord came out to compare it to the Camry. This was convenient because we were moving from CT to Indiana at the time ...

Jan 24 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Balance of performance, quality, style, and value.
Cons: Would have preferred Japanese built.
The Bottom Line: Definitely recommend over Camry and all cars in its class if you seek a sporty sedan. Choose Camry if interior style and performance aren't as high on your list.

I purchased my Accord in February 2003. SUMMARY: Based on owning this car for 1 year and driving it 15,000 miles...I definitely recommend it to anyone considering a car in this class. PERSONAL IMPRESSIONS (SUBJECTIVE): This American built Accord ...

by sbocook
Mar 31 '03 - Updated Apr 01 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Leather seats, V6 power, more stylish then previous years
Cons: no heated mirrors
The Bottom Line: You can't beat the features you get for the price you pay. Honda also has a solid reputation for quality and reliability.

I've owned a Toyota, a VW, several Fords, and now I can add a Honda to my list. I purchased a 2003 Honda Accord 4 Door V6 two months ago and I absolutely love it. I was somewhat disappointed to read that heated mirrors aren't on the U.S. models,...

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 4.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: excellent acceleration, stereo/sound, interior design, seat comfort
Cons: noise when driving at low speed, may not start all the time on first try
The Bottom Line: This car is a good quality for the price, much better than an Acura for your money's worth.

If you're considering to buy a car, go to www.carbuyingtips.com first to educate yourself like I did.

I bought this car in satin silver w/o the spoiler on 12/13/02 from a fleet manager after 3 months of research & emails to various dealers....

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Acceleration, braking & AC. Turning radius is much improved from the old Honda.
Cons: Visibility is limited, but also true on a Porsche Carrera :)
The Bottom Line: This car is great value for the money.

Great Car That Should've Been Better

by akal50
Dec 03 '03 - Updated Mar 19 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Strong V6, 6 airbags, traction control, luxurious interior, CD changer, heated seats, fun to drive.
Cons: Ugly front and back, no heated mirrors, limited color selection, cheap paint, too many rattles.
The Bottom Line: Despite some annoying rattles, cheap paint, and a somewhat ugly exterior, this is still the best sedan you can get for $25,000.

The Drive: Don't let the family sedan label fool you. Nissan used to call the Maxima the four-door sports car, but I think that title should go to the Accord. The V6 is strong (240 hp), very responsive, reaches 60 mph in under 7 seconds, ...

The new generation of Honda Accord is superb.

by abun
Mar 09 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Excellent car. Handles well, has many features, so far completely reliable.
Cons: None so far.
The Bottom Line: This is an excellent car for the individual, it has many of the features of more expensive cars, and is at least as safe as them.

I purchased the top of the line V-6 trim. This car did not disappoint me in the least! It responds well, looks great, and has basically all the features that higher end luxury cars have.
The new audio and climate controls are well designed, as...

Jun 02 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Dependable, good w/gas, Not expensive, 6 CD Changer, heated seats, nice looking, great interior
Cons: automatic seat gets stuck every once in a while
The Bottom Line: The Honda Accord EX is a great looking & running car. Very dependable and a great interior for the cheap price. I feel like I'm driving a Lexus.

I own a silver Accord EX V6 w/black leather. I got it in November and so far I'm loving it. It seems like a reliable, well put together car. It drives well and fast I might add. The handling is smooth and the brakes work really well. I love the "in dash"...

Not your typical Honda, but is that a good thing?

by mattcl
Jan 19 '04

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 3.0 Recommended: No

Pros: Fastest Accord, lovely interior, good price, reputation.
Cons: Safety features N/A on lesser models, brakes, rattles, starting problems, doesn't feel right.
The Bottom Line: It's not your typical Honda, and whether or not that's a pro or a con is up to you!

For my background with Honda Accords, please refer to my review of the 1999 Honda Accord sedan. The Seventh Generation... Exterior Design: There's no question that either you will love this design or hate it. Some say it grows on you, other's ...

After 12 months of Ownership: Solid and Well Executed!

by derekinla
Sep 16 '03 - Updated Nov 17 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: overall performance, amazing seats, the dual zone climate control, and safety!
Cons: Some of the interior details seemed cheap. Could use more brushed aluminum trim.
The Bottom Line: In the near luxury segment, you can't get more "bang for the buck" than the 2003 Accord EX V6 Coupe

Now that I've owned my 2003 Accord Coupe EX-V6 for 12 months, I feel a review of the automobile would be useful. Bottom Line: My overall impression of the car is that it's 1) Solid 2) Well executed 3) Reasonably sporty 4) Reasonably luxurious and ...

My best Coupe yet

by jan41
Apr 02 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Quality
Cons: Visibility
The Bottom Line: This is a GREAT CAR! Never have any trouble with my Hondas, just regular maintenance. Always get top dollar at trade-in time -- they hold their value well. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

This is my 5th Honda Accord Coupe -- the first time I've bought an automatic and the V6. My '98 EX (which was my favorite until now) felt more sporty with the 5-speed, but the V6 with 240 HP has more get and go...but I'm going to the gas station more...

Pros: Reliable. Great pick up for a 4 cylinder. ABS standard.
Cons: Rear drum brakes. Radio controls on steering wheel is only on EX model.
The Bottom Line: A great car for the price. A lot of extra standard features.

Honda is done it once again by making a great car at a very reasonable price. They have slightly upgraded the engine to 2.4 liters/160 hp. It gives great gas mileage and has excellent pick up for a 4 cylinder. Before I test drove it, I was expecting a...

I'll make it simple.

Apr 21 '03

Author's Product Rating: Product Rating: 5.0 Recommended: Yes

Pros: New body style, tighter body gaps, 5 speed auto trans, and performance handling.
Cons: Rear seat back just fold, does not split. That's it.
The Bottom Line: Buy it, you can't go wrong if you like it.

When searching for a new car, it was between the 2003 Honda Accord LX and the 2003 Toyota Camry LE.

Both cars are very similar, in size, comfort, value, and performance. Being a past owner of both brand for many years, I can say the quality...
