Apr 17, 2008 (A Very Helpful review)

Author's Product Rating: 40 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Nimble, great turning radius, silky smooth engine, lots of compartments inside, sits high, effective 4x4
Cons: Very noisy, downshifts to 3rd climbing mild grades, gas mileage, doesn't coast well
The Bottom Line: If you don't mind road noise, buy it. It is a Honda, afterall!

We purchased our CR-V used with 50K miles. I read the reviews here before we purchased so had some idea of what we were getting. Here is my impression of the CR-V after driving it for about a month. Noise: Road noise is terrible. The boxiness must ... read more

Pros: Comfortable, fun, safety features, car seat friendly, CD Changer in dash
Cons: Not the best fit for people over 6" tall, other than that, I love it!
The Bottom Line: We would recommend this car, and may buy another CR-V someday, when we decide we don't need a minivan anymore!

Bought the car new before kids, because we wanted a 4wd SUV, that would not be too expensive on gas. I enjoyed driving it to work. It was comfortable, and responsive handling made it fun to drive. We liked it even more when our firstborn arrived. We ... read more

I love this car. I've put 60,000 miles on it and it's never had a problem (knock on wood). There is a ton of space inside for a compact SUV-- even tall people seem to have plenty of head space and leg space. I love that the backseat can fold totally ... read more

Author's Product Rating: 50 Recommended: Yes

Pros: Very reliable, lots of safety features, 4WD, great stereo system, tons of storage space!!
Cons: CR-Vs are very popular and sell quickly, so don't expect much of a price break.

I bought my CR-V in October 2003. I desperately needed a step-up from my Chevy Cavalier, which was barely accommodating the room I needed, much less the room that my baby needed. I have always been the driver of a small car, and I was very anti-SUV. I ... read more
