Pros: Good looks, decent performance, nice sound system. Cons: Poorly built, headache to own, horsepower misrepresented when purchased. The Bottom Line: I am so very sorry that I bought this car. Think twice about the 2003 Tiburon GT.
I owned a 1999 Chevy Blazer and had decided to make a change and go for a quicker, smaller, more economical vehicle. I had my eye on a Toyota Celica GTS. Right about then, Hyundai introduced the 2003 Tiburon GT and it's new body style. My father had...

Pros: Looks, Infinity Stereo, Fun to drive Cons: Name something and it will inevitably go wrong... THE CAR IS JUNK... STAY AWAY!!! The Bottom Line: Car is unreliable and proven to be by quite a few people.
I have a 2003 GT V6 with a 6 speed manual and 95000 miles on it. Over the years the car has given me nothing less then a headache. After my FIRST clutch went out around 48000 miles the dealership told me not to repair the car with the stock clutch ...

Pros: looks nice, peppy, handles well there is nothing else that is good. Cons: things-which-broke: key, window motor and track, clutch hydraulic, passenger side auto-lock, blade_motor_and_gears, sun roof. The Bottom Line: Horrible NEVER BUY ONE OF THESE OR ANY OTHER HYUNDAI, horrible workman ship and quality/reliablity and horrible service.
I have owned mine since new, let me give you a list of what has broke: year 1: rear windshield wiper (gear teeth stripped and motor blew. clutch hydraulic broke (don't know how) and neither did the service techs. this also wreaked my clutch. ...

Pros: zippy, fun to drive
it has a bumper to bumper warranty Cons: EVERYTHING BREAKS!
You will get to know your repairman by his first name The Bottom Line: This car had constant problems. I spent too much time in the repair shop there was ever a time that SOMETHING wasn't broken. Cheaply made. Lots of road noise.
I bought this car new and within two months I had already taken it back to have both window motors replaced. This is where my story begins... I finally traded it in late 2007 after the warranty expired because I could not afford to pay constant repairs. ...

Pros: Great looks, Great price, good standard features Cons: So-so performance, bad fit and finish The Bottom Line: Lots of show--but no go...
I really wanted to buy a Tiburon. Great looks, great price, cool list of standard features and I don't know anybody else with one...but I drove the thing and well--it just doesn't measure up.
Starting with the interior--not great. The...

Pros: terrific handling, quick acceleration, long warranty, aggressive styling, under $20,000 base price Cons: 4-cylinder out-powered by weight, rear-seat accommodations, ride, loud tires, needs more cargo space The Bottom Line: The Tiburon is a quick, stylish sports coupe. It will, however, have to need to become more reliable over time for me to rate it higher than just AVERAGE.
When the Hyundai Tiburon first came out, it was to replace the South Korean's original sports coupe , the Scoupe. Redesigned for 2003, the new Tiburon continues the automakers tradition of long warranties, and sporty styling at a reasonable price.

Pros: Low price, high standard features, Ferrari looks, fun to drive straight, warranty Cons: Not as nimble as its peers, not likely to be reliable, very cramped The Bottom Line: There are better vehicles, but without the Ferrari looks.
I had been awaiting Hyundai's release of their 2003 Tiburon for months before it hit showroom floors. The car promised to be the best looking vehicle on the road for under 30 grand and touted a tuned V6 and a 6-speed transmission for a budget price....

I bought my first Tiburon, a 1998 SE, but it was stolen only 6 months later... I then tried every single sports car, but I came back to my...

Pros: Inexpensive, nice looking, great standard 'options', confidence-building warranty Cons: Poor visibility, limited acceleration, no back-seat space, poor gas consumption The Bottom Line: Good buy for those on a budget
Last July, when my ten-year old Geo Storm finally gave up the good fight, and died at the side of the road amidst clouds of smoke and steam, I was forced into buying a new car. I should state right up front that I consider cars to be wonderful ...

Pros: Smoooooth tranny, beautiful styling, cheap Cons: Some interior peices seem cheap, poor gas mileage The Bottom Line: Nice looking cheap car, my choise would probably be Civic or Celica, but this is still a good car.
My roomate bought his 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT used last year when his slow-dying VW Jetta stopped dying so slowly. He drove it off the lot with 22k on the clock, all the while the poor Jetta was spewing coolant on the dealer's lot. My roomate isn't a ...

Pros: Head-turning looks, excellent build quality inside and out. Killer sound system. Tremendous value. Cons: Overall performance only adequate. Uncomfortable back seat. The Bottom Line: Hyundai has a winner here. It's a knock-out, with high quality and value to boot. It's a lazier performer than some competitors, but still a great touring coupe.
These days, almost every Hyundai review starts with a small blurb on how bad Hyundai cars used to be, and "now look at how far they have come". Although Hyundai's sales have improved dramatically over the years because of this quantum leap in quality ...

Pros: Unique Sporty Aero Dynamic Body Styling and there is nothing like it on the streets. Cons: I could do without the rear wiper. The Bottom Line: When it comes down to it you could drive this car as is and be completely satisfied.I think that it's great for those people wanting something that looks fast.
The early release 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is a hit for all ages. If you are 16 and your parents won't buy you a muscle car or if your 40 and going through your mid-life crisis this car is an adrenaline junkies dream. An owner of a 2003 Tiburon will soon...

Pros: 6-speed manual transmission, Interior and exterior design, Price. Cons: V6 offers less horsepower than much of the competition's 4-cylinders, V8 fuel economy. The Bottom Line: While not as fast as the competition, the 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V6 offers good acceleration, an excellent interior, and looks to die for.
Once a small sports coupe built on the Hyundai Elantra's platform, and a car with a 140 horsepower engine as its up-scale power plant, the Hyundai Tiburon for 2002; sold as a 2003 model comes with an all new suspension, optional V6 power, and ...

Pros: Affordable, attractive and stylish, fun to drive, responsive, nimble. The fog lights. Cons: The high-beam switch. The alternating-speed wipers. O2 sensor needs to be replaced frequently. The Bottom Line: Test-drive one and see what you think; that's the ultimate test (it's as reliable as any of 'em and better than a lot of 'em).
I've had this car for almost 2.5 years. I plan on buying another one shortly (the 2005 version). I have been accumulating a lot of highway miles on this one--almost 50K. I bought it for: the looks; the V6; the antilock brakes; and the price--affordable! ...

Pros: style, comfortable seats, handling, acceleration Cons: electrical problems, gas usage, poorly designed sunroof The Bottom Line: I would buy this car because of its dependability and excellent hyundai warranty.
I bought the 2003 Tiburon in 2003 (GT V6 2.7L auto), and have had it for almost 3 years. The car has done very well for me, never having any type of problem with the engine, transmission, or exhaust. Because of this, I am very thankful although all of ...
