Pros: Looks, Warranty, Power, Looks, Standard Features, Stereo, Looks Cons: Below Avg. MPG and Paint, Imperfect Sheetmetal, Brake/Throttle Pedals, Headroom, Torque Steer
The Bottom Line: If looks, features, and price are your bag, this is the car for you. If you aren't so hung-up on looks, price, or engine torque, get an RSX or Celica.
I bought this car a week ago after researching and test driving cars for 4 months. I traded in my 1999 Mustang. I was looking for a front wheel drive car (I live in Wisconsin) that was as sexy as my Mustang, that had things my Mustang didn't offer...

I really wanted to buy a Tiburon. Great looks, great price, cool list of standard features and I don't know anybody else with one...but I drove the thing and well--it just doesn't measure up.

Pros: Good looks, decent performance, nice sound system. Cons: Poorly built, headache to own, horsepower misrepresented when purchased. The Bottom Line: I am so very sorry that I bought this car. Think twice about the 2003 Tiburon GT.
I owned a 1999 Chevy Blazer and had decided to make a change and go for a quicker, smaller, more economical vehicle. I had my eye on a Toyota Celica GTS. Right about then, Hyundai introduced the 2003 Tiburon GT and it's new body style. My father had...

Pros: Unique Sporty Aero Dynamic Body Styling and there is nothing like it on the streets. Cons: I could do without the rear wiper. The Bottom Line: When it comes down to it you could drive this car as is and be completely satisfied.I think that it's great for those people wanting something that looks fast.
The early release 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is a hit for all ages. If you are 16 and your parents won't buy you a muscle car or if your 40 and going through your mid-life crisis this car is an adrenaline junkies dream. An owner of a 2003 Tiburon will soon...

Pros: looks nice, peppy, handles well there is nothing else that is good. Cons: things-which-broke: key, window motor and track, clutch hydraulic, passenger side auto-lock, blade_motor_and_gears, sun roof. The Bottom Line: Horrible NEVER BUY ONE OF THESE OR ANY OTHER HYUNDAI, horrible workman ship and quality/reliablity and horrible service.
I have owned mine since new, let me give you a list of what has broke: year 1: rear windshield wiper (gear teeth stripped and motor blew. clutch hydraulic broke (don't know how) and neither did the service techs. this also wreaked my clutch. ...

Pros: style, comfortable seats, handling, acceleration Cons: electrical problems, gas usage, poorly designed sunroof The Bottom Line: I would buy this car because of its dependability and excellent hyundai warranty.
I bought the 2003 Tiburon in 2003 (GT V6 2.7L auto), and have had it for almost 3 years. The car has done very well for me, never having any type of problem with the engine, transmission, or exhaust. Because of this, I am very thankful although all of ...

Pros: Looks, Infinity Stereo, Fun to drive Cons: Name something and it will inevitably go wrong... THE CAR IS JUNK... STAY AWAY!!! The Bottom Line: Car is unreliable and proven to be by quite a few people.
I have a 2003 GT V6 with a 6 speed manual and 95000 miles on it. Over the years the car has given me nothing less then a headache. After my FIRST clutch went out around 48000 miles the dealership told me not to repair the car with the stock clutch ...

Pros: Excellent performance for a great price, sporty interior. Cons: Fuel economy, back seat room The Bottom Line: My final recommendation would be a very finely tuned sports car that anyone can drive to and from work and this car makes the commute fun!
Hi. My name is Jeff and I just bought my new 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT V-6 with the Ultra Sports Package 3.

Pros: Real head turner, good power, good handling, fair price. Cons: Excessive road noise, cabin noise, fuel consumption. The Bottom Line: I havent owned it long, but it seems to be well made, and fun to drive. The owner before had it serviced several times (I carfaxed) so hope its fixed.
I finally put my 89 Lincoln Mark 7 on the chopping block and bought an 03 Tiburon Tuscani. Comparing the two would be unfair so I'll try not too. I researched Tibs for a month and looked at several before I bought one. I have to admit, the warranty was a ...

Pros: Great looking car, handles well, low price, unbeatable warranty, back seat is not that cramped Cons: engine is not too powerful The Bottom Line: The 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is an amazing buy for a sporty looking, practical, safe, and fun to drive car
The 2003 Hyundai Tiburon is a great new car from Hyundai. The designers definitely hit a homerun when they drafted this beauty. As far as being economical, it blows the competition out of the water. You will not find a car of this quality and style...

Pros: Price, GT V6 power, 6 speed, Looks, 10 year/ 100,000 mile warr., features Cons: backseat room, gas mileage The Bottom Line: In short, I love this car. Turns heads, and with a 10 year/100,000 mile warr., no going wrong.
A great sporty car loaded with features without a terribly high price tag. No other company stand behind their cars with a 10 year/100,000 mile warr. either. Handles the road nicely, with enough pep on the V6 model to let you play when you want. The 6th...

Pros: Awesome Infinity system, very comfortable ride, head-turning styling. Cons: Blind spot, Michelin tires will wear FAST. The Bottom Line: Would happily purchase again.
As a previous owner of a 1998 Turbo AWD Eagle Talon, I wanted to find something somewhat comparable when that vehicle started to show some age. I had a few friends who owned Hyundai's and I must admit the warranty played a MAJOR part in the overall ...

Pros: Great Looks,Enough power out of the gt-v6,Great standard features. Cons: poor quality sound system, too quiet for a sports car. The Bottom Line: The Tiburon is a steal for a cheap fast and furious car.
First, I would like to say, that anyone not wanting to buy a Hyundai for reliability reasons, should reconsider.Ever since the early 90s, to present Hyundai has completly changed on the spectrum of reliability. In the 80s, you couldn't give a Hyundai...

Pros: Well-equipped, reasonable price, appearance, low cost of parts and servicing. Cons: Headroom, no electric seats. The Bottom Line: For single people or couples with no kids or big dogs this car is hard to beat.
When the first gen Tiburon came out I could not think of a vehicle that missed the mark on more styling cues than the Hyundai. Everything about it was slightly wrong. The back end wasn't big enough. The wheels were too small. The engine wasn't peppy...

Amazing Bang for the Buck

Pros: Power, Handling, STYLE, Comfort Cons: Back seat, quickly worn stock tires
This vehicle surprised me when I first drove it off the lot. I was first attracted to it by the looks, but once I drove it knew it was exactly what I was looking for.
The car feels amazingly powerful for 172 hp. I've added a few cheap mods to mine which put it easily over 200 hp and didn't cost a lot of money. It doesn't really need it tho, it felt very powerful right off the lot.
The handling is also very good, thanks to Michelin Pilot Sport tires on the stock 17-inch rims. Very good deal. Sadly, the Michelins will only last 20k miles if you're lucky.
Everything seems to work well together in this vehicle, and the only thing that surprises me about it is that so few people drive them.
